Do You Make Any of These Top 5 Job Interview Mistakes?

Recommended Answer:
A conservative skirt, pencil skirts are really in right now, and a dressy blouse paired with a jacket. Wear heels, but not too outrageously high one and always wear stockings or pantyhose for an interview. You want to look professional and business-like. Avoid wearing pants, there really are still employers who frown upon it, even though they allow their female employees to wear them. It's always best to look more conservative on an interview than you would actually look everyday at the office should you get the job.

How To Dress For A Job Interview-6 Simple Tips For Success

  • I know you would not like to dress up, but if you really want this job it is a necessity. Try a black or grey pencil skirt or straight leg dress pants. You can pair both options with a pair of black heels. For your top, choose a light neutral colored jacket. Wear a colored camisole underneath to really make the outfit "pop". Good luck and I hope this helps!
P.S. For your hair, wear straighten it and wear it back in a high pony tail or curl it and leave it down.

  • Well I do recommend you to wear anything but noo sign or anything because you decide not to wear tuxedo or dress really nicely.
and you should probably wear a jacket that kinda look like a tux but not exactly like a tux. and you wanna dress more like a grown up (if you haven't been dressing like a grow up your whole life)

  • You definitely want to look nice for an interview so they can see you as a professional type of person.
Right now, high waisted skirts/pencil skirts are very fashionable. They are all over and I'm sure you could find an affordable, nice one like so:

and if you do choose to wear this kind of skirt, you definitely want to add something lively and colorful on top like so:
    bananarepublic.gap.com/browse/pro…
and of course tucked into the skirt.
A belt like pictured in the skirt picture would be nice, a darker grey or black one medium sized would be just right.
For shoes, appropriate but comfortable professional shoes are sometimes hard to come by, but go to our local DSW or even Target and they usually stock nice looking comfortable shoes.
    Hope that helps!
    :) good luck.

  • I think you should be your self it dosent matter how you look it matters if you feel confidence in your self just where what you where.

  • A skirt suit or conservative dress. Ladies should always wear skirts to interviews.

Recommended Answer:
well just to be on the safe side, i would wear pants that arent denim, black is probably the best, but they dont have to be really fancy just simple black pants. theyll probably have you wear that for your uniform anyways.
as for a top, something nice and clean but it doesnt have to be fancy. a nice polo would be fine...something like that

Job Interview Questions: What does casual dress mean for a job interview?

It's at a place that frames and sells artwork. Would jeans be ok to wear? Jeans and a t-shirt or a collar shirt or jeans and a jacket? Wondering about the jacket coz it's hot here in S.Florida. Interview is today.

A Guide to Preparing For Your Job Interview

Recommended Answer:
It means just that dress casually, you don't have to wear a suit or really flash clothes.
If it is to hot skip the jacket.

Why Should I Hire You? Job Interview Question and Answers

  • For interviews it is better to err on the side of caution and conservatism. Personally I wouldn't wear jeans even if the staff wear them on a regular basis, but would opt for something slightly less casual. How about if you take a jacket with you, slip it on just before you enter the building and then if it's hot inside, take it off when you have greeted your interviewer and hang it over the back of the chair at the start of the interview.

  • Never wear blue jeans while attending a job interview. Casual job interview attire is not advisable if you are serious in getting the job. Women can wear casual pants with a sweater or blouse, with moderate heeled shoes.
The general rule is to opt for conservative shades and designs. Bright checked shirts, loud colored blouses, and odd designed dresses are not to be worn at all.

  • The general rule of thumb is to dress a little nicer (more professional) than you would be if you got the job. So, if you know what the people who work there wear, go a little nicer.

  • casual, not too dressed up but look professional, you don't have to go in a suit, but maybe Khaki pants and a nice collar shirt, or jeans and a nice collar shirt is fine too. Good luck

  • You don't need a coat or a tie. Jeans OK as long as they are smart and clean. I wouldn't wear a T shirt for an interview - perhaps one with a collar, or a 'polo shirt'.

  • your stuff is fine.
maybe replace the jeans with another type of cotton pants.
but other than that your stuff is great.
    good luck

  • Dress one step above the people who are working there. No jeans, no T-shirt for an interview of this type.

Job Interview Questions: Is it okay to reapply for a job that you went on an interview for?

I went on a job interview back in October. The interview seemed to go pretty nice. I was told that they would get back to me by the end of 1 week, but I never heard anything and later found out that the position was filled. The same position is open with the same company and I was wondering if I should reapply.

Only if you've accomplished something since then that boosts your resume. Otherwise its pretty embarassing to go back emptyhanded.

A Guide to the Most Evil Job Interview Questions

  • You should reapply if you think you're best for the position, or you think you can be committed. Also you should reinquire about your previous interview/application.

  • Yes. It shows a bit of determination on your part. Someone filled the slot and you tried again. Also, understand that businesses have so much going on that calling back every applicant is almost impossible. Usually, only the one who got the job gets called back. If you don't hear anything after a certain deadline, then shortly there-after call them back and ask if the job is still open. Be persistent enough to get your point across, but not so much as to seem desperate, get on their nerves or other-wise hurt your chances at getting the job.

  • yes you can unless it specified 'previous applicants need not apply'. i also agree with blue eyes.

  • Yes you can apply but before that you need to find out with HR.
Because most of the companies have 3 months collin period.
    So find out with HR.

Job Interview Questions: Is it okay to take my knitting to a job interview?

Just while I wait in the waiting area, of course I won't continue during the interview. I hate sitting anywhere with nothing to do and Knitting relaxes me so I would be in a calm state of mind. It is for an Admin Assistant job.

Job Interviews - 10 Cardinal Sins

Recommended Answer:
I would not bring the knitting to the interview, if you need something to relax yourself try a book, but I suggest just not bringing anything and just sit there, act professional.

Use Good Scents for Your Job Interview

  • holy crap NO.

show up 15 minutes early for the interview and just wait. if you're bored, then think about how you're going to answer questions, or think of questions to ask. if you arrive way too early for the job, then sit in your car and knit if you have to, but NOT in the waiting room for your job. i would never hire anyone who showed that much lack of respect and enthusiasm for the position.

  • not a good idea. if you need to relax, then think about knitting, but I would not hire someone who brought thier knitting in with them.

  • I see no problem while you wait. Of course put it away when you get interviewed.

  • not a good idea

Job Interview Questions: Do you think women and men are treated eqqually in job interview and the working environment?

there is a study show that women have consistently earned only about 78 cents for each dollar earned by men.

the question is
do you think women and men are treated eqqually in job interview and the working environment? and does the discrepancy between men's and women's salaries still exist?

How to Handle a Courtesy Job Interview

Recommended Answer:
That overused statistic does not prove that women are discriminated against, it only states a fact. I don't believe that there is widespread discrimination against women. Women earn less than men because many women choose their families welfare over their careers, while most men put their career first.

The difference in pay used to be much greater, but it has shrunk as so many young women in the last two decades have established a career before having children. It seems like some women are always looking for reasons to be angry at men.

I have an interview at Spring Creek Barbeque tomorrow and I have no idea what to wear! (Their uniforms are polos and jeans) And do I bring anything to the interview? Any tips? (I'm 16 and this is my first job interview) I've already spoken to the managers and had a "mini interview"....

The CAR Method Is An Effective Job Interview Technique

    • My usual interview outfit was black dress pants, low black heels, and a nice blouse or classy sweater. With minimal jewelry. My hair always goes up and I wear minimal makeup. It shows that I understand what's not allowed in the working environment, but I dress up a bit for the formality of the interview.

    • No jeans, dress pants and a nice shirt.

Make sure you bring a pen

    • tank top and shorts
