Job Interview Questions: When asked "What's your motivation" in a job interview, how should I reply?

What is the appropriate thing I should answer?
What do they like to hear and what not?

Is there anything I can do to increase my chances, or is it ultimately up to them in the end?

I am applying for a job at the Michael Page International as a Senior Secretary.
There are only 2 positions left and so i really want to have that job!
It's a one chance of a lifetime.

Any reply is appreciated.

Many thanks.

Hey, I've been running from one job interview to another for at least a year.
It has been one of the most frustrating episodes of my life. No one was willing to hire me.
I was so close to giving up when a friend of mine told me about this great job interview system.
The tips that I got from the EBook were priceless. I now hold a steady position in a good company just because of his advice. I will give you the same advice that he gave me…

Easy way to figure this out is if roles were reversed and someone came in to interview wearing what you were wearing would you hire them?

Heels should be shorter and closed toe. White shirt is good but if you have a nice, pressed and clean colored shirt wear that. Don't wear to many accessories. Keep it simple. Good Luck.

Job Interview Questions: What should i wear to my first job interview (17yo)?

    thanks

Actually a suit is appropriate no matter the age or the profession. Lose the attitude as it may affect your chances of getting the job. I hire numerous people and those that take that amount of care always present the best.

If you do not feel comfortable in a suit, especially considering the job would not require you to wear one then I would suggest 'smart casual' This means something you would wear to dinner perhaps. NO jeans, flip flops, t-shirts.
I would recommend clean casual shoes, neat ironed pants, a button up shirt or a collared shirt.

From an employers point of view if you dress sloppy and too casual then that is what your work might be like so you will not get hired. It is harsh but true.

    Good luck with the interview.

Stress And That New Job Interview

    • Anything dressy as long as it isn't trashy.

    • Jeans and a shirt?

Trousers and a shirt and a jumper?

    • I would reccommend wearing something smart to any kind of job interview - whatever your age - whatever the position.

Preferably a suit but as someone else suggested, certainly not jeans/trainers/t-shirt etc.

First impressions are VERY important and the interviewer normally makes their mind up on that alone!

    • Do you know if you will be expected to demonstrate any abilities, or be expected to walk around the area?

I would dress a step up from blue jeans and t-shirt. If you have some sturdy dress pants and a polo shirt, that would be a good option.

Do not dress in shorts and t-shirt. I agree about the suit. It's not necessary, but you do want to dress a step up from what you will normally wear to work.

    • According to: www.employmentguide.com/careeradv…
It says where a collared shirt with a tie.
If you go for that sort of job you have to dress casual unfortunately.
      Boring i rekon :P
      anyway good luck
      xx
EDIT: If you wear a suit, you will look like a dork so do NOT listen to the other answerers!
Its construction, not much of a deal.

    • Your right a suit is not appropriate for construction. But I would wear a nice button down shirt and jeans or dockers as long as they don't look
bad and tennis shoes. I don't think they expect a 17 yr old to show up in a suit, unless your applying for a internship in the government,or on wall street.

    • Professional dress is most appropriate for any job interview. If you can manage it, I think a dress shirt and tie with slacks would be best. Or at least a very crisp polo and slacks, dress shoes of course. As neat an appearance as possible.

    • yes sir re, a suit will get you in the door, they like to see that you like the best.
