Job Interview Questions: Is there anyone with a story who had a job interview that went horrible or they thought went horrible? But?

Is there anyone with a story who had a job interview that went horrible or they thought went horrible but still got the job?

Types of Job Interview Questions

Recommended Answer:
Yes. I had a job interview to work for an interest group. I thought I was going to be interviewed by one person, but suddenly four people walked in the room. I wasn't expecting it. I got very nervous. I struggled to find the right words and to answer their questions. I left not feeling good about my chances. But a few days later they called me and said that I got the job! In life, people who are smart tend to underrate their own performance, while people who are not as smart tend to overrate their own performance. It's called the Dunning-Kruger effect. So thinking you may not have done a great job isn't always necessarily a bad sign!

Common Job Interview Mistakes

  • Yes, I have had interviews where I was sure I totally messed up but was offered the job. Likewise, I have had jobs I thought I soared through and was sure to get that I got rejected for. I think we just never really know what the other person is looking for.

  • I spilled coffee in a managers desk once.
I was so nervous - I got the job.

Job Interview Questions: Should I hide my small tattoo for a job interview?

Recommended Answer:
it won't matter because in a restaurant because of health code you are required to wear closed toe shoes and most (other than flats) will cover your tattoo. it really shouldn't be that big of a deal. if anything cover it, but ask about it when you are there.

The Top 5 Tips to Mastering a Job Interview

  • Yes, you should. I have gone to workshops about this, and you should cover all tattoos. You want the interviewer to look at you and what you have to say and not distracted by your tattoos whether or not you think it is seen. After that, you may be able to expose your tattoos, but that really depends on the rules of the restaurant for its employers. If it says, cover it, then you should comply with that because the restaurant want to present its own image to the public that come in.

  • cover it just to be sure. Now a days, everyone judges by looks, not by skill or personality.

  • i would highly suggest you cover it.

  • It couldnt hurt

Job Interviewing Skills: Increase Job Offers With Effective Communication!

Recommended Answer:
Why should we pick you for the job?
---> I am a hard worker, I work well with others, I enjoy dealing with people, I have reliable transportation and am always on time.

What are your strengths?
---> Pretty much the same answer as above but personalize it.

Why do you want this job?
---> Because I enjoy working with others, McDonald's is the world's largest fast food chain and I've always admired the company, I have a lot of fond memories of coming to McDonald's with my family and always thought it would be a great place to work.

Be honest but stay away from answers like "I really need the money" or "your the only place hiring". Really think about this question, why do you want to work there?
