I am applying for the position as Fun Coordinator/Pool Attendant at the Sheraton. I have no idea what to wear for the interview. Please help! :)

Mistakes to Avoid When Answering Tricky Job Interview Questions

Recommended Answer:
Dress nicely. For my interview at a movie theater I wore black pants, a white button up, and heels and carried my jacket with me even thought it was 95 degrees out side. I was dressed nicer than the manager interviewing me but it showed that I was serious about the job. Don't forget dress for the job you want not the one you have!

Job Interview Preparation - Three Key Steps

  • GCFLearnFree.org has free tutorials on how to prepare for interviews: www.gcflearnfree.org/interviewski… It includes instructional text, informational graphics, examples, and even interactives for you to practice what you've learned/actually apply what you've learned. It discusses what you should wear to an interview and what questions you can anticipate being asked.

It's best to wear professional clothes to an interview, even if the attire you would wear during employment is much more casual. Something fitting for an office environment, so dress slacks, dress shoes, a nice blouse, tasteful jewelry, clean, neat hair and general clean and tidy appearance

If you need additional help for things like writing a resume or job searching, there are tutorials for that as well: www.gcflearnfree.org/career

Hope it helps and Good Luck!

  • Dress professional. That applies for all interviews. Dress pants, nice black shoes that match, and a dress shirt. A nice suit works too. Going to a used clothing store is great if you are on a budget. You aren't dressing like you are going to a fancy play, but you need to dress up. If you take the job seriously they will take you seriously. Bring a trusted friend along for their opinion on your outfit. That helps too. Good luck!!

Job Interview Questions: On a job interview for a higher end professional job, would a misdemeanor that I got when I was 15 appear?

If I were to get a job interview for a higher end, professional job, would a minor misdemeanor that I got when I was under 18 appear on my background check, and would I have to say that I had a past criminal offense if they ask? I would be getting an interview when I was older than 18, by the way.

    Thanks.
