Job Interview Questions: Is this a good answer for my weaknesses in a job interview?

I'm a slow worker. Even though I am a slower learner, I gain momentum as I keep on doing a task. For example, if I'm helping my mom cut the vegetables, I start off slow but once i get a sense of how to cut the onions and tomatoes, I speed up. The key is obvious for me to practice.

What do you think? Thanks.

How to Answer Job Interview Questions - How to Impress Your Potential Employer

Recommended Answer:
Well, i would recommend that you provide another positive weakness. When they say weakness they want you to really turn it into a positive. I have always mentioned that my biggest weakness is my willingness and motivation to devote alot of my time to work and that I care too much. Get the idea... just create something that is a positive weakness :)

What to Do Before, During and After a Job Interview

  • No, thats not a good answer!
Why do you think you are a slow worker? Analyse that first and work towards your weakness. If actually you are slow, even if you bag yourself a job, you will not grow internally.
If you have any inherited problems i.e. physical etc, stick to your present job and practise that untill your stop being slow in that.
    All the best.

  • I think that if you tell an employer that you are a slow worker and a slow learner that you'll never get a job. I think that's obvious.

Jobs can be a rough thing to land; especially in todays society. There are several online sites that you can use to help you land that perfect job; the best thing you can do is keep searching.

Questions to Ask Your Interviewer in the Job Interview

  • IT interviews are not tough if you show your potential in the skills you have worked on. You should be confident enough to impress the interviewer.

  • There are places to use your skills - Engineering skills are still in demand.

Also, there is are excellent resources for job seekers... about the interview process, creating a resume, and more. Many are in video format and you can watch them time and time again.

Recommended Answer:
depends on how much of a need they have right now to hire someone.
check back in a few days when they are not busy probably between 2-4 in the afternoon. ask for the hiring manager and check the status of your application. if you don't haven't heard back after a few weeks after that, chances are they aren't hiring, or chose another applicant to interview. good luck, and keep filling out applications.

Job Interview Questions: What do I put in a thank you card after I've had a job interview?

And what if the interview was sort of a disaster? Any way to make it better to increase my chances of getting this job, despite my mistakes?

Ace the Job Interview

Recommended Answer:
I do not think that writing a simple thank you note after a job interview is in bad taste, in fact, quite the opposite. I would express my gratitude for someone spending time with me, and at the same time stress your strong selling points and interest in the position.

Here is a sample:

Dear Mr. Summers:

After speaking with you and the group, I believe that I would be a perfect candidate for this position, offering the quick learning and adaptability that is needed for a diversified position.

In addition to my enthusiasm for performing well, I would bring the technical and analytical skills necessary to get the job done.

I am very interested in working for you and look forward to hearing from you once the final decisions are made regarding this position. Please feel free to contact me at anytime if further information is needed. My cell phone number is (555) 111-1111.

Thank you again for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,

Your Signature

I would not try to rehash any areas that you thought did not go well. I would simply state the positive talents that you have and why you are a good fit.

Answer Job Interview Questions & Score Big

  • I would thank the interviewer for having met with me and for understanding that I was nervous and being understanding about that. Be sure to mention things you like about the company, that you think working for them would be a great career opportunity not only because of the tasks involved but because of how great the environment seems.Thank them again for their time, let them know that you appreciate it and look forward to hearing from them.

It is important to mention things about the company that you like as it shows that you are interested in THEIR company and have done researched them. Mention that you were nervous (assuming that is what caused you to make a few errors in replying to the interviewers questions) they should understand the way you were feeling and not hold it against you (assuming again that it was only nerves that caused the perceived errors. It is possible that you came across great).

Keep the thank you card short, sweet and professional as they are very busy and do not have time to read a whole letter.

I hope you get the job and that this helps.
    Good luck.

  • I thank them for taking time out of their day to meet with you. Tell them you enjoyed meeting them, and that you are very excited about what they do(you can be more specific). Thank them for their consideration and tell them to feel free to contact you with any further information they might need. End it with you hope you get the chance to work with them and learn more about their business or company

  • I used to be a manager and interviewed people for jobs.
It was nice if on leaving applicants said thank you for seeing me or similar.
However I would have been surprised to receive a thank you card from people whom I interviewed. My view was that you did the company a favour by applying for the job.

  • I don't think it looks desperate at all. But so what if it does? You need the job, right?

You need to set yourself apart from all the other applicants. I really enjoy it when I receive a thank you card after I interview someone. It shows thoughtfulness and manners.

  • Thank you for giving me the opportunity to interview for this job. I appreciate it very much.

  • Do not do this!!!!! This makes you look desperate. Save yourself a stamp and just wait for the results to come back. Good Luck

Job Interview Questions: Interviewer smelled bad at job interview - should I have said anything?

Something smelled really rank at my job interview. When they asked if I wanted coffee, I said no I smell rotten milk or something. Interviewer looked upset because I think it was him.

Should I have kept quiet? Is there a way to rectify this? It really smelled bad in there. Thanks.

The Top 10 Things You Must Do During a Job Interview

Recommended Answer:
what u did was fine... in fact, u should've told him straight to his face that he stinks...if u really wanna rectify it, call that dude and tell him that u figured out that it wasn't the milk, it was definitely him...

u pretty much lost the interview anyway, in for a penny, in for a pound right?

Top Job Interview Tips For College Seniors

  • If you wanted the job, then yes you shoud have kept quiet. Simple question, simple answer. A person who conducts an interview decides your fate- they pay your salary so you need to be respectful of their time (and their smells).

  • Sounds like you didn't want the job, eh?
Most people who do act enthusiastic.
    .

  • You might have blown this one. I would not recommend any action other than a very polite followup note thanking the interviewer for his time, then to continue looking

  • Yes, you should have kept quiet, even if you did smell something rotten. You implied that he was about to serve you rotted beverages, which is an insult to both him personally and the company and a major guest faux pas for both social and business hospitality. There's no way to rectify it now short of pretending it never happened.

Job Interview Questions: Who should initiate the handshake in a job interview?

who should initiate the handshake in a job interview?
If the employer does not go in for a handshake should i initiate it?

The Top Job Interview Tips

Recommended Answer:
If you follow interview etiquette correctly then at the end of the interview the interviewer should extend their hand and then you shake it, some amateur interviewers do it at the start and at the end , but if at the end they don't extend theirs then you extend yours, the professional way to end an interview is tho thank the interviewer and say that it was nice to meet them you can say '' well than you very much for your time today '' [HANDSHAKE] '' and it was lovely to meet you ''

What Are The Most Popular Job Interview Questions?

  • The person applying for the job should initiate it, in my opinion. It shows that they're professional and respectful. However if they do not initiate it, then the interviewer should.

  • Don't wait to find out who's going to give the handshake. Do it yourself. Doesn't matter if you're dealing with a man or woman.

When shaking someones hand you're saying hello, when leaving you're saying good by. It's just an all round good gesture to make.

  • You should, it's a job interview, you wanna show how confedident, friendly, etc you are.

  • Well, gee. Common sense would tell you if TWO people are going to handshake and the ONE person doesn't initiate it, you would have to.

  • you should most deff initiate it. it shows confidence and friendliness.

  • you can initiate

  • I like to initiate the handshake. It's odd, because my interviews have been by telephone.

  • The person with the "biggest" hands seems to be the rule of thumb in this particular situation.

Job Interview Questions: What are some questions that you will definitely be asked in a job interview?

I came back from a terrible job interview so I'm assuming that I'm not gonna be hired at that job. I forgot some questions that the interviewer asked me because the only thing that I was thinking about the entire time was how bad I messed up by being so nervous. I need some questions to get myself prepared for whenever my next interview takes place.

Job Interview Questions to Ask Potential Employers - The Do's & Don'ts

Recommended Answer:
In this economy, you need to be thinking outside the box when it comes to jobs. Adults as old as their 70s, who lost their retirement savings because of the financial scandals, are now working jobs previously done by teens, as are younger adults trying to support families

In trying to find a job, you have to look beyond working in a store, a burger joint, some other area that does not require experience and/or expertise.

One needs to think about what tasks that need to be done, but people hate doing, and are willing to pay someone else to do.

One needs to think about starting their own business to set your own hours, without the problems of needing for a work permit, being too young, and not having the needed experience.

This article talks about one such area in which a Denver (CO) woman quit her upper management job to do, earning her over $75,000 a year, working outside, setting her own hours, and can be done using a bicycle as transportation. It is also something a child or teen can be doing with an unemployed parent.

Job Interview Questions: Anything I should know before a job interview at a pretty nice restaurant?

So, I have a job interview at a fairly upscale restaurant, most likely as a waitress. I've only had one professional job interview before and it was for a very different job (working with kids), so I want to know beforehand - what kinds of questions will I be asked and should I be ready to answer? I just want to come off as confident, because I tend to get a little nervous when it comes to formal things like this.

Top 6 Tips For Giving a Great Job Interview and Getting a Job

Recommended Answer:
Dress professionally and be yourself. Never chew gum.

They might ask you what your strengths and weaknesses are and whether or not you have had any experience doing restaurant work before. They will probably also ask whether or not you are still employed, why you're quitting, and what days/hours you will be available to work. (I don't foresee them asking too much beyond that, but it's been a while since my restaurant days..)

Best of luck.

Job Interview Questions: When you have a job interview, is it always the manager that interviews you?

When you get job interviewed (I have one coming up) is it the manager of the place that interviews you? Or do assistant managers ever interview you? Apparently my friend had an assistant manager interview her and they are more laid back, according to her.

    Recommended Answer:
It will be one of the Managers, that is their responsibility, it could be an Assistant Manager, I don't really think they are more laid back, sometimes they aren't even any better than the rest of the employees, but that is just my opinion!

Good Luck, Hope you get the job! :)
