Job Interview Questions: My first job interview! Help?

I have a job interview coming up on Tuesday for Target. This is my first job interview, and I want to make a good impression! Does anyone have any tips? Do you know any questions that they might ask? Thanks! :)

Job Interviews Should Be As Easy As Trying on a Pair of Shoes

Recommended Answer:
Be sincere and always look the interviewer in the eye. Be confident. You will be there to sell them on you, so be energetic and answer questions with a positive attitude. Don't answer with "I think I can," answer with "I know I can." Dress nice, no jeans or sandels. Make sure your clothes are clean and you are well groomed. If you have piercings - take them out.

Good luck.

No Time To Prepare For The Job Interview?

  • give him a "favor" lol mostly seen on movies xD it works maybe lol (as seen on tv)

  • I dont any questions, but make sure your manners are in mint condition that day. Say yes sir, or if a lady, yes ma'am. Be yourself and stay relaxed.

    good luck.

  • Dress up nice. Do not try to sound negative. Like do not say stuff like well i cant work weekends as they will throw your application right in the garbage if you say that. Have an open schedule unless you are in school. Also if they as if you know how to do something and you don't say No i do not but I am willing to learn.

  • Most employees want to know what you're really like and would rather see yourself being natural than up tight, trying to answer all the questions correctly. Just relax, be yourself and enjoy the experience! This funny video below that I found on YouTube about jobs might help!...

Job Interview Questions: I have a job interview tomorrow morning, what is the right etiquette to cancel at the last min?

Spoke to the interviewer on the phone and I really didn't like her. I am getting a bad vibe and it feels like somebody I wouldn't get along with.

How can I reject them without offending them? I have already called up once to reschedule.

  • you shoudl consider that you dont want this job, and they dont want u for this job either considering that you already cancelled the interview and intend to haev a 2nd cancellation. You are wasting their and your time to postpone further.

Job Interview Questions: What should I wear to my Job interview if I'm planning to be a cook?

I was called in for an interview for tomorrow and I was wondering what I should wear. The restaurant is called Zippy's (if you know what that is). It's a local restaurant here in Hawaii and I was thinking I don't have to wear a suit right? I just graduated High school and I was planning to wear slacks or jeans with a plain color dress shirt.

Job Interview Questions: What should one wear to a job interview?

i have a class project wre i have to actually do a job interview, and i have to dress the part. i dont know what to wear! the class is my first class of the day. i am five two and half, have blure/green eyes, blonde hair with reds and browns it in. and have big brests. and curvy. im sure what to wear at ALL! clothes, colors, make up, shoes, and jewelry and hand bag.please and thank you!!!

Take a Look at Some Useful Job Interview Tips

Recommended Answer:
I personally prefer wearing skirts rather than slacks. Women looks better and more feminine when they do. If you're 5'2 1/2, you should definitely wear a knee length skirt or an inch to two higher because below the knee skirt makes someone looks short. Tucked in a buttoned down shirt under a black skirt and paired it up with a perfect ONE buttoned black blazer (current trend). I also suggest you wear a black kitten heels shoes so you would be comfortable. There's actually no rule on what color of shirt you should wear in a job interview but if you wanna be safe then wear a white one although I think that a pastel (light pink, lilac, tangerine, teal, pastel red- your choice) colored shirt looks nice and pretty... and it won't look boring. On make up, I recommend that you wear a coral one (brown/orange shade) on your eyes and cheeks and a light pink lip gloss or lipstick. Wear minimal accessories, an arm watch, a simple pearl or diamond earring and a medium size clutch shoulder bag will do. Hope it helps. :)

Job Interview Questions: Is this an appropriate job interview outfit?

ok so i have a job interview at a call center and i dont have 'professional' clothes so would this work?
a pink tanktop, scarf, grey peacoat, 'nice' jeans and boots?
by the way im 17 if that makes a difference

Don't Blow Your Job Interview

Recommended Answer:
Yes you would look nice just instead of a pink tanktop use black or red

Eliminate Job Interview Anxiety

  • I wouldn't wear the tanktop. Sleeveless attire is not considered professional. I know you will have a coat over it, but you may feel a bit stressed during the interview and feel a bit warm. It could be warm in the office, and you may be tempted to remove the coat. Wear a nice sleeved top under your jacket instead. Make sure the jeans are not too tight.

Make sure your hair is nice also and smile when you are introduced.

  • as long as it isnt slutty or ugly it should work

Preparing to Answer Job Interview Questions

      • I would suggest wearing nice and casual clothing. I have had to do a phone interview once for a job at a tanning salon, and they asked questions like
On a scale of 1 to 10, how important is money to you in a job?
Have you ever had to multitask or handle hectic situations? If so, how did you handle it?
What does customer satisfaction mean to you?
They would give me a situation like: If one person comes in to tan, and another wants to buy lotion, and you still need to clean off a tanning bed, How would you handle that and in what order would you handle the given tasks?
ummmm questions like Are you responsible and stuff like that.
You mostly just have to answer all happy and cheery and act like you know what your talking about.
I just answered and said what I thought she wanted to hear. I think it worked though she called me back for a second interview (although I had another job so i didn't take it)
Good luck!!Can someone help with my question?
        answers.yahoo.com/question/index?…

      • You need to be prepared to talk about yourself and your positive attributes. For most jobs its important to have just been studying whatever topic you are working in. Relax, smile - it's sitting down and having a conversation with someone.

If it's your first, then mainly they will ask you questions.
Be honest and elaborate in a positive way with your answers.

      • wear nice clothes ask them hours

Job Interview Questions: How many questions is too little or too much to ask during a job interview?

During a job interview, when you ask questions or when the interviewer asks if you have any questions, how many questions should you ask to show interest in the job. How many questions is too little or too much to ask?

I would love to have answers from anybody who has been an interviewer or who has worked in human resources or as a recruiter. Please only serious answers.

      Job Interview Questions

      Recommended Answer:
It has been my experience from being on both sides of the interviewing desk that there is no magic number on how many questions to ask. You should go into the interview with a prepared set of questions. The questions should not be asking for information that you can find off of the internet. This shows a lack of proper preparation. It is also my opinion to defer questions regarding your salary history or compensation expectations until late in the process. Recruiters and hiring managers will often use this information to screen you out. You should be watchful of the interviewers body language in deciding how many questions to ask. If they appear hurried then only ask a few of the really important questions you want answered. If they appear to be relaxed and enjoying their time with you then ask more.

Job Interview Secret - A Positive Closing in the Job Interview

      • Hmmm...this is a tough one. Just have to read the interviewer. Ask enough questions to show interest in the job but make sure they are intelligent questions, not like when is your lunch hour or how many breaks do you get. And don't ask so many questions that you are starting to get annoying or interrupting too much. Use your head. Some people don't like too many questions, some people like them. Read your interviewer's body language. If he/she seems to be getting annoyed with your interruptions, shut up.

      • I was told ask only 2 or 3 and no more

I was also told that 2 of the questions you should ask are -
What do you enjoy about working for this company?
when do you expect to make a decision?

I too am job hunting. - I have an interview this afternoon

      • If you have any real questions when they ask if you do, keep them to a minimum, it should be no more than 3, or else the recruiter may think you are too complex, you can always find out anything after you get hired.

      Recommended Answer:
well first you should wear a smile! also i think you could wear jeans and a teeshirt but a pair of black pants and a nice button up shirt is better with some black shoes. it makes them feel that you are serious about the job and that you already have part of their uniform.
