Job Interview Questions: Job interview at my house?

I applied for a cleaning job at a school and the lady asked for my adress and details which I thought was normal. But then she said she'd be round next Thursday afternoon and I just said ok. Would this be a job interview? I've never heard of job interviews from home like this.

Win That Second Job Interview, Like You Did With the First Job Interview

Recommended Answer:
if you applied to the school and the lady is from school or from a cleaning company hired by the school, she could be reliable.

if so, she just wish to check out how clean you kept your home, whether you are a reliable person (re theft, etc) based on your home address, etc.

if you are not comfortable, ask to see her at her office or at a coffee shop, saying now that your family has unexpected visitors that afternoon.

Job Interview Questions - Why Do You Want the Job?

  • Congratulations on the interview.

If the lady will be coming to your house then it's certain to say that this will be an informal visit as well as verify your credentials.

Ensure your house it tidy, you dress presentable, revise your knowledge on which cleaning products clean which materials and have a copy of your resume, bank details and past job references to hand just in case.

    You'll be fine ;)

  • Have you checked out the company? This sounds a little bizarre. You never know. She might be 'casing your house'.

I would never let a stranger like this into my home - not these days. You should suggest a neutral territory, like a local coffee shop. Be honest with her. Call her back and tell her that you are uncomfortable meeting people in your home, and would like to meet in a more neutral setting, such as a coffee shop like Starbucks.

If she gets really offended, this should raise a red flag.

    Hope this helps.

  • Sounds fishy I would not trust her, tell her your never home and would prefer to meet her at starbucks or whatever other coffee place is near your home. I would never let a stranger into my home. Ask for the business address but its not worth it if you ask me.

Job Interviewing Preparation: The Winning Approach!

  • Unless you are going for management it is not required. They will have you fill out an application anyways. Although it never hurts to take it with you for your own reference when filling out an application.
As far as questions go I would ask you
What made you apply for Target?
What kind of experience do you have?
What are your strengths and opportunities?
How much money are you looking to make?
What questions do you have for me?

Job Interview Questions: What should I wear to a job interview?

I'm 16 and have a job interview for a teenage clothes shop. I'm a girl, what do you think I should wear? Could you get some pictures of clothes suggestions I could wear because I don't know D:

Tips to a Job Interview Presentation to Impress Your Hiring Manager

Recommended Answer:
What to wear for an interview depends a lot on *where* exactly you're interviewing to work. For your situation, a pair of neat dress pants or a skirt with a dress shirt or a nice sweater, or a neat, not-too-short dress should be fine. Consider how the people who already work there dress for work, and aim for something similar but a little more polished. For a place like Gap, you'd want to go with something kind of classic and a bit preppy, while for somewhere like Forever 21 would be more trendy, and Urban Outfitters is more hipster and quirky. Jeans (or anything denim, really), t-shirts, tank tops, sweats, hoodies, sneakers, etc. are (almost) always a big no-no for job interviews. Things with rips or stains are always a no-no.

(The outfit Melissa recommended for you, while cute for a school day or hanging out with your friends, is much too casual for a job interview.)

Spontaneous Job Interviews - Why You Should Love Them

  • Wear something from there store or something that is of that style...but keep it appropriate. Khakis or black slacks with a cute top would work as well as a tasteful dress and cardi or something like that. No butt or major cleavage showing!

Job Interview Questions: Took a job and was offered an interview for another job?

I accepted a position at Company A and then Company B called me and asked me in for an interview tomorrow. I'm more interested in working at Company B, but I accepted Company A's offer and I start on Monday. What should I do? Company B sounded interested and I seem to interview well, as I've never been on a job interview where I haven't been offered the job.

Seven Job Interview Preparation Secrets

Recommended Answer:
Go on the interview for sure. But do you tell them you already have a job offer... hmmm... I'd say yes. Makes you look more in demand. See if they can match what company A offered and if so take it. Good luck.

I applied for a job at my local movie theatre. If they schedule an interview with me it will be my very first. So I'm extremely nervous and need some tips and answers. I really want to know what questions are asked and what is said in the interviews specifically at a movie theatre. I don't mind at all if your answer is extremely long - as long as it's talking about your personal experience. But any information is greatly appreciated!

Job Interview Questions: What should I wear for my job interview?

I'm going to a job interview for a teaching job, so obviously I want to make a good impression :) I've narrowed it down to two choices, a pink skirt suit, red scarf, black tights and a pair of black boots or a grey pant suit with ordinary shoes. Which would give the best impression?

Telephone Job Interview Challenges - Preparation Is the Key!

      Recommended Answer:
I am more business-oriented, so I am just assuming that the teaching profession more or less follows the same guidelines for attire.

Personally, I would wear the dress. However, I wouldn't use black tights, especially if they are opaque. Depending on the stance of the interviewer, opaque black may cheapen the look of the dress. Err on the side of safety and go with skin-tone pantyhose, which is universally accepted in the business world. I would also opt for low heels instead of boots.

I would wait until you are actually hired before you start getting too adventurous with your outfits. Once you're "in," talk to your peers to see what you can get away with.

It is Important For Every Job Seeker to Know About the Job Interview

      • Consider what the person or people interviewing you would think would be appropriate for the ideal person they want to hire. I would suggest presenting an appearance that makes you look like you would fit the job very well. This is probably less an issue of colors, and more one of appropriate choice of styles. If you wouldn't wear it to the job you will take, be careful about wearing it to the interview. You could dress to the higher side slightly, but don't get far off base.

What to Do on a Job Interview to Land a Job

      Recommended Answer:
      Hi there,

Whenever you go on an interview, you want to make sure you look professional. In your case, I would recommend dressing up and wearing business attire: suit/tie/shirt/blouse/etc. It's always better to overdress rather then underdress and you want to make sure you make a great first impression.

      Best of luck!
