Job Interview Questions: Took a job and was offered an interview for another job?

I accepted a position at Company A and then Company B called me and asked me in for an interview tomorrow. I'm more interested in working at Company B, but I accepted Company A's offer and I start on Monday. What should I do? Company B sounded interested and I seem to interview well, as I've never been on a job interview where I haven't been offered the job.

Recommended Answer:
Go on the interview for sure. But do you tell them you already have a job offer... hmmm... I'd say yes. Makes you look more in demand. See if they can match what company A offered and if so take it. Good luck.

  • Start with company A for the time being, and go ahead and interview for Company B. Dont mention to company B that you are just starting for A. If B offers you the job, try to give company A as much notice as possible and resign.
    Common sense really.

Recommended Answer:
blue jeans white tee steel toe boots (only cut your hair if it affects the way you do your job) it dont so leave it be (wear a hat if your worried about it) good luck

Get to Know the Common Answers to Job Interview Questions

  • Wear whatever. A interviewer for a mechanic apprenticeship won't really care if you're not wearing a tasteful polo and pressed slacks. And style the hair into something neutral. Don't go full afro. Cutting is unnecessary.

  • I'd say either a full jumpsuit, with the 4" wrench coming out of the back pocket and everything....or a 3-piece suit made of duct tape, so they know you're handy.

Job Interview Questions: Going to a job interview when it's not scheduled for me?

How likely will someone give me an interview if I just show up "thinking" I am there for a job interview?

Discriminatory Job Interview Questions to Avoid

Recommended Answer:
They probably wont, they'll tell you that you were mistaken. Try it anyways, you never know.

Ace the Job Interview

  • probably not

  • Not a good idea; kind of presumptuous in fact. What you could do is bring your resume, ask to fill out an application, and if ou may speak to the hiring manager to address your questions. That might work.

  • Not very likely. If anything, they'll hold it against you for being flighty.

But what the heck, give it a go.

Job Interview Questions: What to wear to a job interview?

i am 15 and im planning on dropping my resume in at a few local stores to get my first job, ie- gloria jeans, wendys icecream, bakers dellight etc.. i know that there is no guarantee i will get the job let alone the interview but i was just wondering what would i wear when applying or to the job interview? i know some people say jeans is a no but i have some really nice black, no rips, smart pair of jeans, would that be ok? what else? (links and pictures appreciated)

A Guide to Preparing For Your Job Interview

Recommended Answer:
If your only 15 and gettting a job somewhere like wendys, wearing a nice pair of jeans and a nice top is okay.

I have my first interview when I was 16 and I wore dark colored skinny jeans and a nice top and I got the job and have been working there since which has been about 3 years.

You are applying for a part time job, so dressing nice shouldnt be the most important thing.

  • Jeans is definitely a no-go. I guess if they look like dress pants then they'd be okay for handing out your resumes...

Wear a button-up blouse and dress pants. DO NOT wear any bright crazy colors. Wear blacks, browns, greys, creams, and dark colors. Make sure you bring a nice plain purse with you as well.
