i think something black will make you look sophisticated. it always does as long as its not over the top and you wear something to fade the black out abit like the color white or grey.

How to Shine in Audit Jobs Interviews

  • Perfect grooming is your first assignment when you interview for a job, whether you want to be a CEO or an entry-level factory worker. To a prospective employer, how you dress says a great deal about you.

    Dress Up Tips

    1. Suit (navy, black or dark grey)
    2. The suit skirt should be long enough so you can sit down comfortably
    3. Coordinated blouse
    4. Conservative shoes
    5. Limited jewelry (no dangling earrings or arms full of bracelets)
    6. No jewelry is better than cheap jewelry
    7. Professional hairstyle
    8. Neutral pantyhose
    9. Light make-up and perfume
    10. Neatly manicured clean nails
    11. Portfolio or briefcase

    Wish you all the best

  • sometimes what you should wear depends on the place your interviewing. i have never heard of zumies. i say wear black, gray, or navy blue slacks (or khakis); a button up shirt that isn't distracting(too bright or too revealing); shoes should be closed toe&heel and the color should be neutral; hair should not be covering your entire face. btw, what is zumies?? good luck on the interview.

  • You should wear a dress, not to fancy though. Here are some:

you should wear this dress with some black leggings and some flats. Hope I helped!

I asked a question once about what I should wear at a job interview if I didn't have a blazer. This question, however, got resolved.

A lot has to do with whomsoever sees the question to file a bogus abuse report against it

Interview Skills You Need To Succeed In a Job Interview

  • There are several reasons Qs are removed.

    1. It is a violation of the rules - you will get an e-mail when that happens. If you want to know the reason for the violation, post "Why was this question (answer) a violation?" and add the original e-mail you got so the users can see the exact context. The experienced users here will explain it to you. There is no statute of limitations on breaking the YA rules.

    2. There were zero answers when the time expired - no e-mail sent.

    3. The BA was reported as a violation - no e-mail sent.

    4. During voting, "No Best Answer" was chosen as the best answer - no e-mail sent.

Look in your e-mail, including the spam folder, for a violation e-mail. If not there, check your activity tab in your profile. If nothing about a violation there, then the Q was removed for one of the other reasons.

As to the other, crude and not the best wording in the world, but probably not a violation.

  • Well Rose that WAS funny....=0)
Kinda reminds me of my job...what makes sense they are sure NOT to do....(^_^)
OR "maybe" the person in charge of deleting our questions had the night off when that "other" question got thru....=0)

Job Interview Preparation - How to Create That Powerful First Impression

  • Normally I would recommend taking some time off from school, but you are soooo close! I know you can do 4 more weeks! Maybe for these last 4 weeks you and your husband could work out someway to take them to their daycare so you can have some much needed study time, minus the little interruptions. And when you finish school, you'll have a better chance of getting a good job with some decent pay (hopefully, but I'm not sure what you're studying). You are doing great, just keep up your wonderful work

  • Of course formal dress.

Job Interview Questions: What to say at this job interview tomorrow?

I have an interview tomorrow, and I am having a bit of trouble with this question..
"Tell me about yourself"
I have a few things I could say but I am not sure how they would connect to one another.
Basically what would be some good things to say for that question, if its for an animal attendant position.

*** I have lots of experience with animals, by the way.
Thanks everyone :)

The Importance of Great Job Interview Answers

Recommended Answer:
What they really want to know: How you developed the skills and qualifications you expressed on your resume, and how well you can articulate your value as a potential employee.

You want to talk about: Work history, skills, education (if you're a recent graduate), areas of expertise, qualities that make you successful on the job, a passion you might have for the job or your chosen profession, and other details that help support your candidacy or likability (e.g., volunteer work, community involvement, people, or experiences you have in common with the interviewer).

DON'T talk about: Your childhood, age, marital status, family, politics, religion, lifestyle, unrelated hobbies, health problems, financial troubles, or any other detail that doesn't support your qualifications for the job. You might share some personal details later, but for this question, keep the focus on your traits as an employee, not as a parent, stamp collector, or migraine sufferer.

I hope this helps :-)

Telephone Job Interviews - What You Should Know

  • This is a little off topic but in today's employment environment there are 3 critical steps that must be taken 100% of the time to successful land any job. Unfortunately, more often than not these simple steps are not taken.

    1) It doesn't matter weather the position is for a janitor or an engineer you must take the time to figure out what is important to the employer.

    2) You must be prepared for the unexpected when it comes to questions and general conversation.

    3) You will be amazed because once you have done your homework your stress levels will drop and your confidence will rise. This will put you in the front runners position no matter what the experience level of the other applicants.

You should always dress according to the employers style. If it's a casual position/employer then dress casual, if it's a strictly professional position/employer then your attire should be professional. More importantly you should always no matter casual or professional error on the conservative side....never over do it or wear extremely bright colors.

Employers hire those that respond to questions effectively and appear confident over experience the majority of the time.

This can almost guarantee your success with any job....
