I have an interview at a small amusement park here in my town and I know I'm gonna get this question asked. Obviously, I want to work for the money, but I can't say this, haha. If any of you guys could help me out what to respond to this question, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!

Job Interview Questions: Is this too much black for a job interview?

I have an interview tomorrow morning and was planning on wearing black dress pants with a black dressy top. Is that too much black?

The Top Job Interview Tips

Recommended Answer:
Not really, but if you're worried about it being too black try to soften it with some nice accessories of a different colour and a cute eyeshadow.

Top Job Interview Tips For College Seniors

  • i really need to get my mind out of the gutter......

  • I think it is. I may be prejudiced, but I associate the all-black look with goths, and I associate goths with surly attitudes. Note that once I have the job I wear all black frequently; it's just so easy to pull outfits together that way.

Also, you say you plan on wearing a dressy top. It's so easy to step over the line and wear something too fancy for the job. If you would wear it to a cocktail party, don't wear it to the interview. Instead, a white blouse or sweater and black slacks makes you look like a waiter, but that says to the employer, "I'm ready to work."

Or wear any other color top. Just, in my opinion, stay away from black.

    Good luck with the interview.

  • Be sure to tell them that you are good with people and would be extremely comfortable in a customer facing role such as this one.

Also tell them that you are a huge fan of all types of movies so you will be able to reccommend a movie to customers who have inquiries about a movie

You should try to emphasise that you are an extremely HARD WORKER as much as possible during the interview

Also tell them that you are flexible with the hours you work, even if you aren't you can worry about that after you've had the job for a little while

Basically tell them anything you sense they want to here, usually you will know by how they phrase a certain question, what kind of answer they want

If you end up havin to serve the food, I would suggest tying your hair back and looking as neat as possible so they know that you won't get hair and germs in the food

=When they ask why should we employ you over others, just list out every positive thing u can think of about yourself and be sure to say you love cinema

DON'T CHEW GUM, it looks highly unprofessional
DON'T ASK ABOUT MONEY AND PAYMENT, it makes you look to pushy and also if it turns out u don't get the job u wil luk a bit silly asking. But you should ask some questions so u look like u are interested in how the company operates

Make sure you have a copy of your cv and a cover letter with you, even if you have previously handed one in, it shows you are organised and prepared

AND #1 be polite and confident because thats how u will have to be in your job! (if u get it, hope these help, good luck)

Job Interview Questions: What else can I do to prepare for my first ever job interview?

I have my first ever job interview at Culver's tomorrow. Basically, I have read a bunch of questions and answers, including this whole guide:

I have taken notes and all, but how can I prepare more, I am very nervous?

Job Interview Tips - Best Interview Questions

    Recommended Answer:
You've done everything you can, now it's time to rest. Make sure you get a good nights sleep tonight and eat a good breakfast tomorrow. When the interview is over follow up in a day or two with a phone call. This is just to thank the interviewer for their time and to let them know you are available for any follow up questions if they should have some. Truthfully, though, it's to keep you fresh in their mind ;) Also make sure you follow up by sending a thank you card or letter. Same type of thing, thank them for taking the time to meet with you. Good luck!!

Job Interview Questions: Is it okay to drink tonight if i have a job interview tomorrow?

ive had a stressful day and i need to relax a little. ive never had a job interview so i dont know if they test you for anything like alcohol. am i okay to drink tonight if my interview isnt for another 15 hours?

How to Shine in Audit Jobs Interviews

    Recommended Answer:
As long as you don't over imbibe so you don't end up with a hangover you should be fine. I have never been to an interview and been drug tested, that will come with an offer of employment. And there is no reason they would test you for alcohol, even if you are under 21. Just don't show up with a hangover or you won't get to that next step to even worry about it. And don't smell like a brewery.

Tips to Boost Your Job Interview Confidence

    • No, it isn't a good idea to drink the day before an interview. You want to have a very good impression on yourself and for your employer. Many policies in the contract of the job you apply for say that they can always run a test of drugs/alcohol on you without warning, and by signing your name or saying "I agree", you're obliging for them to do so.

I suggest you don't drink. There are other ways to relax other than to drink. This includes watching TV (your favorite TV shows if you have any), any hobby you like doing, talking to friends/family for advice on what to say and how to dress professionally for the interview. I understand that an interview can be stressful and quite intimidating, however stay "sober" until the time comes. But understand that depending on the company you're being considered for, they can ask you to take a drug and alcohol test. If you refuse though, they may not hire you or drop you out of employment.

Try the above suggestions if it helps. I hope my advice helps you as well and good luck!

    • 1 oz of alcohol per hour is what your body processes. 1 beer, 1 glass of wine, 1 shot. If you're only having a few you should certainly be clear by then. The question is making sure you are alert, on time and ready for your interview. They won't test you on the spot. If there is a drug test, it would probably be given to you another day, at the very least, they will give you a form to take to a specific clinic and a time frame to get it done.

    • you should be fine as long as you don't overdo it. your body can only hold off one beer an hour so use that to your best ability! also alcohol stays in the system for a month so be careful and drink reaponiabily and yea you should be fine as long as you don't get too crazy

    • Unless you plan on having more than 15 drinks. I never heard of a job where they would drug test just for an interview anyway. Most don't even drug test when you're actually hired.

    • I wouldn't chance it. Are you even old enough to drink legally?
How are you going to get there whether if you're sober or not?

    • I wouldn't recommend it. It would be better to drink after the interview.

    • Yeah only 1 drink to be on the safe side tho!

    • no don't drink before interview night

    • hell yeah gettin f*cked up tonight will give ya a little edge tomorrow..

    • Go ahead youll be fine

    • I wouldn't. Try to get a good night's rest.

    • you should not

    • don't

Job Interview Questions: How honest to be in a job interview?

I'm a teen and I've never gone to a job interview before, and I'm looking for a job. It's good to be ready for interviews and prepare answers to questions I may be asked, but what if my honest answers aren't appealing? Should I lie? Like if the honest answer to "What are 3 adjectives that your friends/family would use to describe you?" is clumsy, unorganized and short-tempered? Or the answer to a direct question like "How are you people skills?" is a bit awkward and not good with small talk?

What To Bring To A Job Interview - Interview Basics

    Recommended Answer:
You need to be more positive. You don't have to tell them all your weaknesses, but you also shouldn't make up a munch of skills that you don't have. Write down all your strengths, all the things that you are good at.

For example, I'm a bit shy and don't have great communication skills, BUT I am very patient with people and always polite, and THAT's what I mention in the job interview. You get what I mean?

If your family would only describe you as clumsy and short-tempered, then forget that. Focus on the positive things they would say about you. (Although I might caution about being short-tempered with people, it could cost you your job)

Good luck with your job search.

    Recommended Answer:
Okay, what you need to do right now is send out a thank-you letter to the manager that interviewed you. Although this is both proper etiquette and expected protocol, sending a thank-you note right after an interview will help you to stand out from the crowd, as so many job seekers do not take the time to do this! If you need help with thank-you-letter wording, here is a great resource: www.freethankyounotes.com. Look for this section: JOB INTERVIEW THANKS.
