Job Interview Questions: Can you bring a child to your job interview and not get turned down?

I was talking to a friend and he told me something interesting. He says that if you bring a child to a job interview, the employer cannot refuse to hire you (or at least would be afraid to) because then you can sue the company for not hiring you on the basis that they are discriminating against you because you have children. Is this really true?
