Job Interviewing - Say This, Don't Say That - Part 1

Recommended Answer:
First of all, you must wear formal clothes, i mean u must dress up. They won't expect you to wear jeans and T-shirt. Second of all, i suggest, go in front of the mirror and practice what you're going to say, it includes 'greetings you are going to exchange', 'they way you sit and your body language' , and more importantly 'what you gonna answer'. Ask yourself every possible question that you might you and then answer them with great calmness. And even must beware of the fact that Interviewer can understand whether you have self-confidence or not, so keep your facial expressions calm and take it easy. They are just interviewers not Death Angels!
Hope i helped:)

Job Interview Techniques Tips - What Techniques For Job Interviews Do You Need?

  • GCFLearnFree.org has free tutorials on how to prepare for interviews: www.gcflearnfree.org/interviewski… It includes instructional text, informational graphics, examples, and even interactives for you to practice what you've learned/actually apply what you've learned. It discusses what you should wear to an interview and what questions you can anticipate being asked.

It's best to wear professional clothes to an interview, even if the attire you would wear during employment is much more casual. Something fitting for an office environment, so dress slacks, dress shoes, a nice blouse, tasteful jewelry, clean, neat hair and general clean and tidy appearance. They want to see that you are energetic, have an engaging personality, and are interested in the job, so don't be too quiet or laid back.

If you need additional help for things like writing a resume or job searching, there are tutorials for that as well: www.gcflearnfree.org/career

Hope it helps and Good Luck!

Job Interview Questions: Help on a job interview question please?

I am applying for a job at the pool and im going to be a lifeguard. People told me they are going to ask why I would be good working there. What should I say?

Four Job Interview Mistakes That Can Torpedo Your Chances of Success

Recommended Answer:
It depends on your past experience and your talents. I'm guessing this job requires you to teach swim lessons? If you've had experience working at camps, coaching a team, previous experience lifeguarding you could say your good with children. You could say you've got a good understanding of swim strokes and this knowledge makes you a good swim instructor (if you've had experience on a swim team or previous jobs teaching swim lessons you should mention that).

If your just going to be lifeguarding for this job, you could say that your a very punctual person and won't be late for shifts or that you understand the seriousness of the job and would always be vigilant when your guarding the pool.

Discriminatory Job Interview Questions to Avoid

Job Interview Questions: I had a job interview and passed the drug test but now I don't want the job. Will they charge me for the test?

no

A Guide To Common Job Interview Questions And Answers

  • In order for you to have the drug test you would of had to of signed a form agreeing to pay for it. If you are going to receive a paycheck from the company then they will charge you because the company will have to pay for it. I am in HR and have to do background checks on all of our sales reps. We have a list of backgrounds that we pull and if the person never starts then we can't charge them, if they even work one day then we will. We have to pay $50 per background to Choice Point the company that we use, and if we don't charge the employee we would be out the money.

Common Job Interview Mistakes

You will need to become familiar with their store policies. I've added a link for you to their customer service page of their website. Read through it and pay attention to the links on the left side for more information as well. Come up with a list of questions that might relate to your duties behind the jewelry counter and how you might handle certain situations as they would apply to the policies you've already read up on. This will let them know you are eager ot work there and are a self-motivated, "go getter" and wont sit back and wait to be told what to do and will impress them.

You should also become familiar with their products, price ranges and payment options (including how customers obtain credit) so that you can assist customers to purchase things that they like to ensure you make the sale. I've also provided a link to their jewelry page of their website.

Ask what the salary range is and if it's an hourly pay only or pay plus commission and if their is an employee discount. I would also ask about their benefits (insurance, etc.) as this is all part of your overall compensation package. Don't stress too much on this area though. You want to find this out.

Ask the interviewer how long "they" have been with the company and what type of long term future you could have with JC Penny. This will give them comfort that you are not just looking for a quick buck and something to put on your resume and might leave them in a short amount of time, leaving them to start over with the hiring process, but rather will be a long term and dedicated/loyal employee that is career minded and has potential to move into Management one day.

Dress appropriately and be positive. Smile and be friendly and show them you are easy to talk to and would be able to interact positively with customers.

Good luck on your interview! I'm sure you'll do fantastic!

Job Interview Questions: Is this question appropriate for a job interview?

During a job interview, when the interviewer asks if you have any questions for them, is it ok to ask them how many people they are interviewing for the position? Or is that considered a bad thing to ask?

How to Get Your Dream Job - The 3 Step Job Interview Process

Recommended Answer:
Probably not. Their hiring process is their domain, and employers are very sensitive about the proceedings for liability reasons. Besides, you need not worry about the competition, anyhow, since you're confident that you are the best candidate. Confidence in yourself is job #1 when being interviewed.

Getting Job Interview Help For Aviation Jobs

  • Nothing wrong with that.

  • That's perfectly OK to ask that question. It'll help you get a realistic view of your chances for getting the job, and the interviewer will understand that.

  • Nothing unethical about it, it might seem to them, however, that you are worried that the other people that are applying are better than you and you don't even know them. That is to say that anyone might be better than you. This might make you look like you are not the best person for the job if you are showing you are worried about other candidates.

Job Interview Questions: What kind of questions do they ask you at a job interview?

So I've got a job interview tomorrow in Sports Soccer, what kind of questions will they ask? This is my first interview.

9 Most Common Job Interview Questions and Answers

Recommended Answer:
Hi I found this question list on an Agency site:

www.corestaff.com/Job%20Seekers/P…

I have been asked all or most of them in previous interviews. The question I have definately been asked everytime is "What do you know about our company?". Seriously...take some time and get some general info about the company from the web. It doesnt have to be a ton of stuff just some basic info. I had this interview and I was able to name 4 of the companies popular products. That got their eyebrows raised.

Good luck.
