Job Interview Questions: Had a job interview-- should i follow up?

I applied for a job, then after a week or so, I emailed asking the status of my app and was given aninterview! I had the interview last week; I sent a thank you email and recieved a reply Monday saying she would let me know by the end of the week. It is now Thursday night (they are closed Sat and Sun). Should I send an email asking about my status or would this bug the employer?

Sending an E-mail might bug some employers, but most want to know you are still interested in the job. So definitely send the E-mail tomorrow. Perhaps around noon.

Job Interview Questions: What to wear to a job interview if you use mass-transit in the winter?

I've heard that it's best to leave anything unnecessary in the car, but what If you don't have one? Is it okay to bring a purse (a decent purse that is big enough to fit my resume and hat/gloves)? I need to appear composed while having to be out in the cold intermittently beforehand. It's really cold in my state, and I can't believe how many workers walk down the street without hats or scarves.

Job Interview Skills - How to Deal With Unusual, Irrelevant Or Stupid Questions at Interviews

Recommended Answer:
For women, a pants suit is good. You get long pants/slacks which you can wear some thick tights under for warmth, you get a nice blouse, which you can wear a tank tshirt underneath, and then a jacket, with your overcoat.

This way, you are dresses for an interview with lots of warm clothing, and the only thing you have to take off is your overcoat.

A large purse, briefcase and small purse is acceptable. PS....
I worked with one woman who didnt feel the cold. She wore sundresses year round, with NO coats, scarves, or gloves.

Job Interview Questions: I have a job interview with sears!!!!!!?? tips please.?

So i have a job interview with sears for merchandising and pricing. I'm sixteen and will be turning seventeen in about a month. i don't have any job experience, but I'm well mannered, and i work hard. There are quite a few jobs opening (about five) so im guessing i could possibly have a chance at getting a job, who knows . Please give me tips and advice that will help, like: what to wear, and questions they'll ask. Thanks:D

Job Interviews Questions - To Ask Or Not to Ask

    Recommended Answer:
First, make a lot of eye contact, smile, speak loudly and confidently and do a little research on sears. Also be prepared to answer why you should get the job (opposed to someone else) and why you want the job. Don't fidget, be polite and shake his/her hand. Most importantly, feel confident, and be yourself! Try to look clean and professional, but don't over due it. Make sure your breath smells good and try to be really friendly. Hope this helps, and good luck!

How to Handle Skilled Job Interviewers & Behavioral Interview Questions

    • Dress on the conservative side. No open toe shoes. They will ask about any work experience you have had, even babysitting, to see if you are a responsible person. They will ask if you can work nights and weekends, say yes, of course. They will ask if you like working with lots of different types of people, have a high energy level, and things like that.

Be pleasant, look the interviewer in the eye, don't look down or away. Smile. At the end of the interview tell them you are very interested in the job and hope to be hearing from them soon.

    • I heard that Sears is very hard to get hired. You are so young. Why don't you just worrying about school right now and college? I made that mistake working at a young age and missed out on so much. Now at 48 I am in college and wish I went after high school. If you do decide to continue with this interview just be yourself.

    • wear some d&g or armani dont bring your pet howler monkey as i have learned. smoke a cigar during the meeting sit back put your feet on the desk. talk italian. act italian. they'll think your mob

    • dont be so self confident, and be modest, thats all, tell them that you gonna work hard and you have social skills

Job Interview Questions: Had a job interview at Target today, what happened?

My friend works there and he got hired right after the interview. I had two interviewers which I've read is what Target does. Has anyone been hired days after the interview or right on the spot. I am at loss here, finding a job is ridiculously difficult.

Job Interviews - Six Blunders to Avoid

    Recommended Answer:
i would just sit back relax and wait for a call but tomorrow i would write and send a thank you letter to your interviewers it looks good and increases your chances of getting the job.

    Accounting Job Interview

    • i know what you mean... with jobs you really have to be persistent. sometimes people get lucky and get hired on the spot, depending on how desperate the job is. if you got an interview at target then you should call them up again and ask if they want to hire you or not. the manager will either say yes or no, and if he says no just move on to another job :) good luck!

    • Sometimes if their desperate for people they will hire on the spot lik before holidays or busy shopping days... but if u had two interviews sounds good... espescially in these times.. keep ur head up..

    • A 2nd interview is good..it means they're interested. Don't worry, give them a couple of days and they will call you. Good luck with that ok?

Job Interview Questions: What do wear to my job interview?

I have a job interview at sears today part time position while im still in college last year til i graduate :). i was wondering if i should wear a suit or just dress pant dress shirt and tie to it?

The Values That You Should Have in a Job Interview

    Recommended Answer:
Suit, definitely. If you show you can dress professionally for the interview, they will know you can for the job. Thi is especially important for places that do a lot of direct customer interaction like Sears.

How to Display Enthusiasm at a Job Interview

    • Wear a suit. It shows seriousness.

I interviewed for a job at Wawa to clean poop off toilet seats, re-stock cold-rooms and empty garbage-ridden trashcans, and work as a cashier just before I graduated college and in my interview, I wore a suit.

If you're not going to wear a suit, consider wearing long sleeve shirt and appropriate trouser, and be all around well groomed. That should be good enough.

    • Just do the dress shirt, dress pants, and tie. No need to go all out with a suit for a part-time job.

    • ALWAYS jacket and tie. No exceptions.

    • Suit not required...

    • dress shirt and tie should be fine unless you want to make a sharp first impression in which case ware a suit

    • just be formal and put some light colour dress

Job Interview Training For Managers - Will's Story

    Recommended Answer:
I'm sure it won't. They may doubt your commitment to the job a tiny bit and if you will keep a persistent attendence in coming into work, but as long as you have a good CV, you'll do fine.
Just put your absent days behind them, if the answers crops up, explain that your putting it behind you and you've been through pregnancy, they might understand.
    Just do the usual, really.
Be honest with them, they wouldn't take well to dishonesty.
Just dress appropriately and approach them kindly with a firm handshake and maintain eye contact.
I think you'll do well, despite not having a job for 4 years.
    Good luck.
