Job Interview Questions: Job interview at a boots chemist. Please Help need some tips!!!?

I applied online to a customer assistant/ consultant role at a boots chemist near my area. I got a call from a private number 2 weeks later while I was out. They said they would like to invite me to interview the next week. I took the address down because I didn't receive a confirmation email or anything which is strange??? Anyway I really want this job can someone give me some advice because this is my first job interview. What do I wear and what shall I prepare for?

They didn't leave a callback number, either?

If you got a callback number, definitely call them back to confirm the interview. If there's no callback number, just show up for the interview. If they say, You aren't on our list, say you received that phone call but had no callback number, and you would like to interview for the job anyway. (Don't wait for them to invite you to do so--very pleasantly but firmly say you are keen on the job and you would like to interview for it.)

Dress nicely. I don't know what that means where you are, but think about going out with your great-grandmother on your arm. Look nice, neat, pulled together. Look "professional," if you can, but if this job doesn't call for shiny shoes and bow ties, dress one notch below that.

A customer assistant/consultant role at a chemist...hm, I'm not exactly sure what that the specifics of that job are, but I assume it has a LOT to do with customer communications. So...anticipate questions about what makes you think you can work with customers. They want to hear you answer clearly, in strong sentences. They want to see that you are attentive. They will probably ask what skills you have that make you able to work with customers. Good answers: I am attentive, I listen well, I am interested in helping people solve problems, I am organized. They will probably want to hear what will make you a good employee. Good answers: I am prompt, I am reliable.

They may ask you to give examples of how you are ------ fill in the blank with prompt/reliable/organized/a problem solver, etc. So start thinking. What have you done in school, or with other organizations (at a church, a sports club, etc.) that shows you are any of these things?

Smile. Shake hands. Provide your contact information (perhaps have it neatly written/printed out on a slip of paper -- hand it over at the beginning or end of the interview) with a, "I'm sure you have this already, but I'm keen for the job" sort of a line.

Good luck!

Job Interview Questions: I have a job interview at a pet store and I need some help?

Ok so I love animals and I have all my life, and just the other day I applied at a pet store and I got a call back for an interview. So what kinds of questions will a pet store ask?? Has anyone went to an interview for a pet store and got the job? Help please and thank you :)

The Importance of the Job Interview in Canada

    Recommended Answer:
They are likely going to ask a few questions in a certain order.

1.) Are you over the age of 18?
2.) If not, are you over the (age in your state after which you are not required to have working papers)?
3.) If not, do you have working papers (*if yes, you may be asked to furnish a copy).

These are basic questions to establish the legality of your employment. They cannot actually ask you your numeric age, as it may be misconstrued as age discrimination, yet they must be assured that you are either old enough to work for them or are in possession of the appropriate legal documents (*working papers) to work for them.

After that, they may ask you what your experiences with animals are? How long have you been keeping certain kinds of pets? What sort of formal or informal training do you have with the animals that they sell?

After that, different stores and managers may have different questions to feel you and the best fit for you out. Where I used to work, we had three areas. The kennel (*a behind the scenes job for animal care only), the fishroom (dish only sales and customer service), and the sales floor (which was customer service for small animals, reptiles, birds, etc.). At interviews, the store owner would always ask the same three questions.

1.) Do you love animals but aren't quite a people person? (*because, if so, the kennel is the place for you!)
2.) Do you love animals and enjoy interacting with people, especially helping them find the perfect pet? (*if so, the floor's for you)
3.) Are you a real fish geek/freak? (*if so, the fishroom's definitely the spot for you).Remember, opinions will vary.

Admittedly, I wasn't initially hired at my prior job at first because I came in for fish staff right after they already hired someone (who ended up quitting after a couple of weeks). However, a couple months later, I came in and asked if I could purchase a yamabuka ogon koi with one eye for a discounted price due to the conformational deformity. The manager at the time said no, but asked if I wanted a job. The rest is, as they say, history.

Ninja Job Interview Tactics For Serious Job Seekers

    • They basically will ask your work experience, if any. what hours can you work, any restrictions that sort of thing. they might also want to know how much you do know about pets and their care. if you've kept fish for a few years, tell them or have a dog or cat or any pet. Depending on what type of job with this store you are applying for? if its just general sales clerk, they probably won't go too in depth. But what ever knowledge you have in pet care, let them know. But don't act too superior or know it all. They may have a program they want you to follow. Remember it is a business. be sure to let them know you are eager to work in a pet store. So just be honest and charming. speak up and don't mimble or act like you don't know what to say..if your not clear on something, do ask though! While I haven't doen this for a pet store, i have hired people in retail and we all want someone who will show up and work. Not just a warm body, as it were. So show them you are ready to work and to learn.
      Good luck!

    • they ask if you have any pets, if have ever had any experience with animals and what type/breed if you did. They'll ask if you are social, and stuff like that...and during the interview make sure you keep eye contact at all times and answer questions completely and thoroughly to show that you are...and when making eye contact, dont make it a creeper stare lmao, just make casual eye contact and stay focused

    • Go to their website if they have one and find out about the company and their mission statement. Use keywords from their website or advertisement for employment when answering. Most interviewers ask the same questions. Why should I hire you? Tell me about yourself. What are your strengths? Why do you want to work here? Tell me how you would handle a difficult situation.

    • They'll ask you things like if you have any pets, what animals you like most, other stupid questions. At least that's what I was asked when Petsmart interviewed me. I got the job. Then I quit six months later because all of the employees were extremely rude and irresponsible.

Job Interview Questions: How to prepare for job interview?!?

I have a job interview Saturday at Popeyes, and I don't know what to expect! Its my first interview/job ever, because I'm only 16, and I wanna be prepared so I get the job :) What should I wear? And what questions will they ask and how do I answer them? Help!

Job Interview Rehearsal - The Benefits of Mock Interviews

    Recommended Answer:
What to wear, Something clean, fashionable and conservative. Dress like you are taking your grandma to dinner on Sunday. First impressions are important and the clothes you wear and the style of your hair are extremely important. Be conservative.

The questions will range from your previous job experience to what you're studying in school and where you see yourself in 5 years to what you like to do on you free time. They'll want to know who you are and what you would do under certain circumstances so they'll give you a question like this. If someone ordered a dinner and got upset that it took so long how would you handle their complaint. There is no wrong answers.

There is only one way to answer these questions. HONESTLY. Relax, be yourself and be 100% honest.

    Prepare For Your Job Interview

    • You should look professional. No jeans, flip flops, or baggy clothing. This makes you look sloppy. Now you don't have to go out and buy an entire suit. But a nice pair of black slacks and nice top (no tank tops) which are modest are interview attire.

Questions they will ask could vary. Many managers ask what you would do in certain situations that determine your customer service, integrity, and overall attitude.

When answering their questions, do not say "Um", "Uh", or "Like" numerous times. This makes you look very unprofessional. Be yourself and do not try to be the "perfect employee".
