Job Interview Questions: I was trying to get a professional look for a job interview and shaved off my eyebrow while trying to trim it?

I try to fix it and even it out with the other eye brow and just made everything worse. What the hell was I thinking? Any tips on how to fix this mess?

How To Stand Out From The Crowd At Job Interviews

Recommended Answer:
You'd be better off shaving the other one to match. Go to your local make-up store and tell the make-up consultant what happened. She should be able to set you up with at least an eyebrow pencil, and possibly a couple stencils to ensure that you create the right shape and that both eyebrows are symmetrical. You can also buy hair re-growth products for eyebrows and eyelashes. These are easy to find online and will help your eyebrows to grow back faster so that you don't have to spend as long penciling them in.

In the future, don't use a razor or anything like that for facial hair (I'm sure you've figured that out already, though). Use tweezers or eyebrow wax (which you can get at most drugstores). Another option is to go to a salon and get them waxed, threaded, or tweezed professionally. It's pretty cheap, usually around 10-15 bucks.

Good luck! As long as you pencil them in as naturally as possible, you should be fine for your interview. Just try to make them look as close to your natural eyebrows as possible. You don't want them too bold because that would only draw more attention to them.

How to Answer Job Interview Questions - How to Impress Your Potential Employer

  • color it with marker (or leave it alone it might grow fast)

  • Shave the other. Symmetry is more important that hair.

  • The only way to correct an eyebrow mistake is with an eyebrow pencil. Sorry dude, but you will either run around with strange brows, or you'll look like you just had a makeover. anyway, they should grow back to there original shape in 4 to 6 weeks, unless you cut your natural arch out, then they will grow back straight across

  • my best friend did this too. Go to the store and get an eyebrow pencil and fill it in. you can get them in the same color as your hair. No one noticed for her but it takes practice to get the penciling rite. Good Luck!!

My first job was at mcdonalds too.
I went for my interview in a white button up shirt, and black pants.
There not overly picky there, but try to look good anyway.
If they want you training the day of your interview.
Then that's practically saying you've already got the job.
They'll had a work uniform ready for you.
And will ask you to pay $20 for it.
But you don't have to. =)
Good luck! I hope you enjoy your new job.

So you lied to get a job and now you have an interview to get the job that you lied to get?

It would be pointless to go to the interview. While some might advise to go and 'fess up, it won't help you. You could try to keep up the lie and get the job, at which point they can't hire you because when you submit identification, it clearly shows you can not work. Or you can tell the truth hoping that they'll have a use for you in one month, 7 days. In this case, you're starting employment with them knowing that you lied to get the job. Actually, either way you show that you lied to get a job. Not a good way to get started.

Job Interview Questions: What will be u'r answer if u r ask "What is ur weaknesses in a Job interview"?

What is the best answer of that question during an interview. I need an answer that doesn't send a wrong impression to the interviewer. An answer that does't disqualify u to the job u r applying. (by the way in applying to a call center)...

Job Interview Questions - Interview Techniques to Prepare You to Ace Your Interview!

Recommended Answer:
Always try to give a positive answer. For example, "It takes me a long time to get ready in the morning, so I set my alarm two hours ahead of my time in for work."

How to Face a Job Interview Successfully

  • Find what your weakness really is. List it and then say what you are working on to overcome it.

Everyone gives the "expected answers" like "I put too much of myself into my work" that most interviewers now don't like those types of answers.

  • I'm a raging alcoholic.....but only out of work

  • I would suggest you to watch this video which shows the way how to answer when you are asked What are your Strength and Weaknesses.

This video will guide you and will help you how to be perfect in your answer.

For more information you can visit the following link.

Also there is a link which gives more information on interview.

  • I hate that question! I've always been told to say my weakness is something that can be turned into a positive:

ie, I pay too much attention to detail, so sometimes tasks take longer than expected

I like to chat on the phone (good for call centre?!)

I can sometimes over organise something, as I love to be organised and have a plan, but need to be flexible incase one of the plans doesn't turn out as expected

    etc etc etc.....................

Is Your Body Secretly Sabotaging Your Job Interviews?

Recommended Answer:
It is a commission only type job.

You will have to pay for your own gas, taxes, FICA, social security, plus pay fees to use the office, buy leads, pay for training, certification and will be expected to make very high sales goals.

If you are an excellent sales person who has a background in insurance sales and hundreds of friends, family, neighbors to whom you can sell insurance to and enjoys cold calling people from an office with your personal cell phone for 10-12 hours a day, then Bankers might be the job for you.

If you are not a sales person, have no background in insurance, have a few dozen contacts, don't enjoy being hung up on, don't have unlimited day minutes on your cell, then Bankers might not be the job for you.

Job Interview Questions: Are 4inch heels too high for a job interview?

I just bought a pair of plain black heels for job interviewing. I thought they were perfect but when I got home and did some internet searches I found most people think 4 inch heels are too high for interviews. I hate low heels, personally I think flats are better than low heels. The shoes I got are the most basic looking black leather pumps so I thought they would be fine. The rest of the outfit is a black pant suit, your average interview fare. Thoughts? Btw, I'm interviewing for admin and receptionist jobs.

Job Interview Motivation - Five Secrets To Getting Jazzed About The Interview

Recommended Answer:
I think if you wore dress slacks, then 4 inch heels would be fine. If, however, you were a dress/skirt then go with a lower heel so you don't attract too much attention to your legs. I work in the corporate world of insurance, and I wear heels to work most days, some as high as five inches. They make my legs longer and look leaner, and I usually pair them with dress slacks. If I am wearing a business skirt/dress, then I go with a lower heel, usually 2.5 inches so that I don't draw too much attention to my legs and feet. The heels you have will be fine if you pair them with the right outfit.

Job Interview Advice

  • Be conservative. The heels are too high. Usually, if you question something, you already know the answer. You question whether or not the heels are too high, you already know they are. If you look in the mirror and wonder if something is too tight or too low cut, or too short, know that the answer is yes.
Your resume got you an opportunity to interview. The interview is where you get the job. First impressions are very important. 4" heels will give the wrong impression. There are no re-do's.
    Lots of luck

  • I would definitely not wear those heels. I have been reading all over that the best way to look for a job interview is as conservative as possible. You do not want to appear racy or skanky! dont worry, you can wear those heels another time, just remember that first impressions are very important when it comes to getting a job. if its a job youd really like to have, just suck it up and wear that lame pair of lower heels, but in the end itll pay off!

  • I would have to say it depends. Typically the rule of thumb is 2-3 inches. But I doubt they will be paying much attention to the hight of your heels. They will be more interested in your resume.

I think it depends on how you are in them. Are you sort of short in height? Do you walk well in them? I've seen women that look horrible in 4 inch heels and other women who rock them and look fantastic.

I wouldnt say no completely. I think it depends on other factors. If you walk well in them and it goes with your outfit really well...I dont think it can hurt.

  • Yes, they are too high. Despite some people's ideas, very high heels have negative connotations & with jobs so tight right now you need every plus on your side. Wear flats then (there are very cute ones); also very high heels are often not allowed on jobs due to danger of twisting or breaking an ankle or falling.

  • they'll be fine as long as they aren't too flashy or if you wear them with a short skirt.
but it sounds like the ones you got are perfect. heels show confidence and authority.

  • Only pornostars where high heels for job interviews

  • Only if you're gonna be a stripper or my secretary.

  • Its not the heels they are looking for. What can you offer the company?

  • they are fine , especially if the boss is male , he he he

Job Interview Questions: Does anyone have tips for when going to job interview?

My husband has a job interview tomorrow, and im wondering if anyone has any good tips? He's applying for a job with highways (clearing snow etc.) does anyone have an idea what questions they may ask and what answers they may be looking for?

Some Common Job Interview Weaknesses and How to Address Them

    Recommended Answer:
i'm not sure about the questions they may ask, probably what previous jobs he's had, if he's handled machinery before ect.
ive got some tips though :D
    - good posture [don't slouch in the chair - it'll make you seem uninterested and not bothered about the job]
    - nod and make eye contact to tell the interviewer you understand and are taking in what he/she's saying, not just letting it slide over your head.
    - a good, firm handshake.
    - ask questions yourself, you'll seem assertive and it shows you're listening.
    good luck!

A List of Tough Job Interview Questions For Tough Times

    • The best way to prepare for an interview is to anticipate the questions they'll ask and have answers mentally prepared. These questions might include:
-Why do you want to work here?
-What makes you the best candidate for the job?
-How do you handle conflicts with coworkers?
      -What are your strengths?

Job Interview Questions: What to wear for a job interview at a salon?

I have a job interview at a very well known salon in the city. The interview is for the hairstylist assistant position. I have no idea what to wear. Any suggestions? Oh and should I wear flats or heels? Thanx!

    Some Sound Job Interview Advice

    Recommended Answer:
i would recommend flats since they are a lot more comfortable to walk in, or maybe go for a kitten heel. as for the clothes try a summer semi-formal dress. something that makes you look (and feel) confident. pair it with a blazer to give it a more professional look, and try on both heels and flats to see which one looks better. good luck(:!!
