Job Interview Questions: I was trying to get a professional look for a job interview and shaved off my eyebrow while trying to trim it?

I try to fix it and even it out with the other eye brow and just made everything worse. What the hell was I thinking? Any tips on how to fix this mess?

How To Stand Out From The Crowd At Job Interviews

Recommended Answer:
You'd be better off shaving the other one to match. Go to your local make-up store and tell the make-up consultant what happened. She should be able to set you up with at least an eyebrow pencil, and possibly a couple stencils to ensure that you create the right shape and that both eyebrows are symmetrical. You can also buy hair re-growth products for eyebrows and eyelashes. These are easy to find online and will help your eyebrows to grow back faster so that you don't have to spend as long penciling them in.

In the future, don't use a razor or anything like that for facial hair (I'm sure you've figured that out already, though). Use tweezers or eyebrow wax (which you can get at most drugstores). Another option is to go to a salon and get them waxed, threaded, or tweezed professionally. It's pretty cheap, usually around 10-15 bucks.

Good luck! As long as you pencil them in as naturally as possible, you should be fine for your interview. Just try to make them look as close to your natural eyebrows as possible. You don't want them too bold because that would only draw more attention to them.

How to Answer Job Interview Questions - How to Impress Your Potential Employer

  • color it with marker (or leave it alone it might grow fast)

  • Shave the other. Symmetry is more important that hair.

  • The only way to correct an eyebrow mistake is with an eyebrow pencil. Sorry dude, but you will either run around with strange brows, or you'll look like you just had a makeover. anyway, they should grow back to there original shape in 4 to 6 weeks, unless you cut your natural arch out, then they will grow back straight across

  • my best friend did this too. Go to the store and get an eyebrow pencil and fill it in. you can get them in the same color as your hair. No one noticed for her but it takes practice to get the penciling rite. Good Luck!!

Job Interview Questions: Question about a job interview?

I have a job interview for Chick Fil A in two days. This is my first job interview and job so could anyone tell me how I should come prepared and what to expect? And also, I recreationally use marijuana so does anyone who has worked there know if they drug test? And don't tell me to quit because I lead a happy life and I want to work at Chick Fil A because it is a very nice place to eat at.

Employment Information - Job Interview Preparation

Recommended Answer:
As far as the interview goes, dress properly, introduce yourself with confidence, make eye contact when you meet the interviewer, shake hands, be polite, take a notepad to make notes, or make notes before you interview with questions you may have, and last but not least, be professional.

I have no idea concerning the drug test, I would imagine they do, but you may could find this answer on their web site.

Good luck!

Is Your Body Secretly Sabotaging Your Job Interviews?

    Recommended Answer:
It is a commission only type job.

You will have to pay for your own gas, taxes, FICA, social security, plus pay fees to use the office, buy leads, pay for training, certification and will be expected to make very high sales goals.

If you are an excellent sales person who has a background in insurance sales and hundreds of friends, family, neighbors to whom you can sell insurance to and enjoys cold calling people from an office with your personal cell phone for 10-12 hours a day, then Bankers might be the job for you.

If you are not a sales person, have no background in insurance, have a few dozen contacts, don't enjoy being hung up on, don't have unlimited day minutes on your cell, then Bankers might not be the job for you.

Job Interview Questions: Weird job interview today?

    Hello Yahoo community,
So, I went in for a job interview today and the last step was the interview. The girl, who conducted mine seemed like she took a Nyquil an hour before the interview. She was out of it the whole time and rudely yawned while I answered her questions and didn't even practice simple courtesy by saying, "excuse me or sorry." She even gave me a crude look when I said I was a recent college grad and didn't even say congrats or anything (not a big deal like the yawning but just some common courtesy, in my opinion). I am scheduled for a follow-up tomorrow and if she conducts it and acts the same way, should I say something to her or mention it to her superviser?

    Thanks guys!

p.s.-- I know sometimes you get people on rare days but I would expect a more professional attitude with someone assigned to a front line position like a HR interviewer. But at the same time, I want the job and don't want to burn any bridges.

Tips on Acing the Job Interview - 4 Important Things to Consider Before the Interview

    Recommended Answer:
Heavens no. Don't say anything to her or to her supervisor. You will come off as entitled and very cocky and self-important.

So she yawns? Big deal. Either you are very boring or she is very tired. Either way, it doesn't really matter. You'll get the job or you won't, but it won't help anything for you to waltz into an office and demand that your interviewer be more polite. IF you ever had a chance with this company or organization, you will lose it the minute that you complain about a person in their office. It's one thing if you inform a supervisor that an employee is behaving rudely to a client/customer/potential business partner. It's quite another to inform someone's supervisor that you don't like the way that she is interviewing you (unless she does something completely inappropriate, like sexually harass you or make a racially insensitive remark).

You will burn bridges the second that you open your mouth. This is a terrible economy and the fact that you recently graduated from college is hardly a reason to expect a congratulations from a complete stranger. She's probably exhausted from so many interviews. I'm not in HR but I'd expect that it would be hard to be in HR during this recession -- you have 4 times as much work because there are 4 times as many applications to read than normal.

IF you simply cannot resist, then I would say a polite, "You seem very tired. Have you been doing many interviews today?" It will show interest in her and also let her know subtly that she's not doing a great job of hiding her exhaustion/disinterest. If she doesn't pick up on the hint, then drop it entirely and just ignore the yawning and do your best with the interview.

Job Interview Success - Make Them Hire You!

    • Do not say anything if you want this job. Everything in life is political. You do not have any clout to talk to a supervisor about the behavior of someone at a place of employment where you do not even work yet. Even if you get hired, keep it to yourself.

    • Is this person going to be your supervisor? If so, then you might want to think twice about working there. If this is just the HR person interviewing, then just let it go so you can move to the next interview.

    • I wouldnt say anything untill after you got the job. If you say something before the person in charge may think like already you dont like some of the employees employed by the company and this job isnt for you.

    • Heck no. Job interviews are not the time to have a sense of morality. It's a dog eat dog world out there. I don't suppose that interview just fell in your lap, did it?

Job Interview Tips: How to Interview With Confidence

    Recommended Answer:
I guess by now you have had the interview, but I will give you some tips, in case you did not get the job.

    Wear smart casual, no jeans.

    Just be yourself,

    Smile.

Listen carefully to the questions you are being asked.

Never interrupt when the interviewer is talking.

Once a question has been asked, just take a couple of seconds before you answer, so you can think about what you are going to say.

Slow down your speech, most people who are nervous just gabble away, and the interviewer will not be able to understand, or take in what you are saying.

    Keep smiling, that is important.
