Job Interview Questions: Pant suit or skirt suit for job interview?

The place I'm applying for is all about gender equality and empowering girls. I wore a pant suit for the first group interview. So is a skirt suit appropriate for the one-on-one interview?

Job Interview Tip Number 1 is Preparation

Recommended Answer:
They are both fine. I think a pant suit is a little better though. IDK why - it just seems more professional to me. Even a conservative skirt shows some leg, and that's OK, but until you get hired, wear slacks. My opinion only.

Job Interview Basics - How to Sell Yourself

  • Well, what were female hiring managers (and staff in the hallways) wearing? Is there a website with photos of staff for this company? Try to match their style.

In general, I too wld recommend pants, just to be on the safe side--if u look too feminine/attractive, men may get distracted, while women may get jealous of u... :)

  • Very appropriate. No bare legs!

Job Interview Questions: Do you have any advice for my first job interview (at a credit union)?

I just graduated from college and don't have a ton of job experience. I've been trying desperately to get a job for the last few months and have finally made it through to my first live interview. Does anyone have any tips or advice for this? I'm really nervous because of all the jobs I've applied for this is probably the one I want the MOST (best pay, benefits, career field of choice, etc.). I really don't want to blow it!

Stress And That New Job Interview

Recommended Answer:
first, know a little bit about the company. go online and find out what they do. a candidate who knows nothing about the company likely isn't going to get hired. preparation and having good questions to ask is key. it shows you've done your homework.

second, dress professionally. a nice top and a dressy pair of slacks or skirt is good. don't wear jeans, not to an interview.

third, a lot of companies are looking for long-term employees, not job hoppers. when they ask you about your future plans or what you see yourself doing some number of years down the road, they want to hear you want to stay and grow with that company. say it and mean it.

also, be sure to make good eye contact and speak clearly. answer questions with detail. no one word answers, but don't go on and on either. when appropriate, ask them questions before they ask you if you have any questions. in other words, be sure and confident in yourself. even if you are really nervous and feel like you are going to pee your pants, appear confident and like you mean business. and on that note, make sure you go to the bathroom before you arrive at the place of your interview. again, all in being prepared.

8 Worst Job Interview Screw - Ups to Avoid

  • wear nice clothes, and also make sure you know what a credit union actually is and its different than a bank. I had a interview there once and they asked me if i knew what the difference was between a bank and credit union and i had no clue, also be a little knowledgeable about the company itself, and read some practice interview questions

  • Don't be nervous, don't lie,say practically what/ how you can contribute if given the job.Answer it to the point, with humility,
but also mind your self respect.

Job Interview Questions: How long to get called back after a job interview?

I had an interview on thursday, everything went well and at the end of the interview I felt really confident. At the end, the employer said she had 2 more interviews left, but so far I was a good candidate. She said she would call back by Friday or Monday and still nothing. What should I do its my first interview and I don't know what to expect. Will I get a call back?

Secrets to Answering Job Interview Questions About Your Weaknesses

Recommended Answer:
Unfortunately, I would keep applying. Even if an interview seems perfect, employers can say whatever they want...remember, they don't want to hurt your feelings. Always keep applying for jobs, no matter how perfect it seems, and ALWAYS send a thank you email after the interview. I hope that helps, and feel free to email me with any other questions about it.

Advice on Having a Successful Job Interview

  • it can happen in the interview or even up to a month or so later it all depends, but if the have given u a time and they havent there is a chance that u avent got it but if u want to check there is no harm in calling them up :) good luck
