When the Promising Job Interview Turns Up Empty - You Can Still Win! Interview Tips and Strategy

Recommended Answer:
Think or visualize urself feeling relaxed throughout the whole interview process. Focus not on the pressure of giving a right answer but a well thoughtout answer. It's okay to be a little nervous in fact it's almost expected. Being too over confidence is just as bad as being inconfident.

Job Interview Questions: Pant suit or skirt suit for job interview?

The place I'm applying for is all about gender equality and empowering girls. I wore a pant suit for the first group interview. So is a skirt suit appropriate for the one-on-one interview?

Job Interview Tip Number 1 is Preparation

Recommended Answer:
They are both fine. I think a pant suit is a little better though. IDK why - it just seems more professional to me. Even a conservative skirt shows some leg, and that's OK, but until you get hired, wear slacks. My opinion only.

Job Interview Basics - How to Sell Yourself

  • Well, what were female hiring managers (and staff in the hallways) wearing? Is there a website with photos of staff for this company? Try to match their style.

In general, I too wld recommend pants, just to be on the safe side--if u look too feminine/attractive, men may get distracted, while women may get jealous of u... :)

  • Very appropriate. No bare legs!

Job Interview Questions: What if you went for a job interview and offered the interviewer half of your salary.?

As in, upon hiring you, you agreed to split your salary with them.

Interview Questions And Answers - Worst And Good Job Interview Answers

Recommended Answer:
An interviewer at any reputable business or certainly at any government agency would be ethically bound, and restricted by policy not to accept any compensation in exchange for giving you a job. They would be fired if they work for a company and if it was a government position you are seeking then they would go to jail for taking the money as it is a bribe!

Not only will they almost certainly not risk what you are proposing, but by making the offer you are ensuring that they won't offer you the position, in fact I can almost guarantee you they won't even let you finish the interview, they will throw you out then and there and tear up your application.

The way to get ahead in life is to work hard, not pay people off....... Unless of course you are a politician or a lawyer! Work hard and you will eventually be able to accomplish what you put your mind to. Be patient, work hard, keep your eye on the goal and you can do it.

Job Interview Techniques - How to Crack the Interview Code

  • No, if I were an interviewer, I would never say so; because the person is paid what he does and I am paid what I do, so the concept of sharing the salary seems quite awkward and is against the true professionalism.

  • Well, if you have a job currently that pays more and money is an issue, then I would say stay with your current job. But, if you are unemployed, then I would take the job since jobs are hard to come by.

  • i would be really desperate for a job and or really want that job enough to do that.

  • It is illegal and they would think it was a trap and you would not get the job

I have been called for an interview at a kitchen for a retirement home. It is the middle of summer and all I have for shirts other than t-shirts is a long sleeve polo shirt. For pants all I have are dark blue pants, that dont match with the shirt, a pair of jeans, and a pair of plain long jean shorts. Any suggestions?

Questions to Ask Your Interviewer in the Job Interview

      Recommended Answer:
I would answer the questions honestly, but with some caution. Employers understand that there are things that aren't perfect, so it's better not to dodge the question or completely bullshit an answer.

For instance, in my job I hate dealing with some administrative issues. I have to fill out certain reports on a regular basis. At first at seemed burdensome, but then I realized that I could finish all of it by the end of the week if I just worked on them for the final 15 minutes of each day. By splitting it up, it didnt seem bad at all.

*see, in this answer I answered the question honestly, while also explaining a way that you dealt with a bad situation in a positive manner. that's what you should strive to do.

      • For more difficult questions you want to do a sort of "spin-off". For example, if they asked what your greatest weakness was it could be that you are a perfectionist or everything MUST be finished.

When you are asked to take a drug test for a job interview is someone there to look at your private parts to make sure its your sample or are they just behind you?

      Recommended Answer:
NOOOO....they have NOOOO right to look at your private parts!!!

They give you a small plastic cup and lead you to a bathroom. No belongings are allowed to go into the bathroom with you just to make sure you don't cheat on your drug test. The nurse will tell you not to flush the toilet and that you have three minutes to pee and come out. Yes, they time you.

That's all there is to it.

P.S. Drink a lot of water about 30 minutes before you go in for the test so you are ready to perform

      Recommended Answer:
Generally speaking it's best to err on the side of conservative, nothing too bright or sparkly. Try a clear coat or a light nude. It really depends on the industry you are going into though. Fashion/art environments will welcome shows of personality in your style, but business/government types expect a more conservative overall appearance. Look into the company you are interested in. Figure out how the successful people in the organization dress and style themselves and use them as your model to create your own personal look.
