Job Interview Questions: Job interview at Gilly Hicks, help please!?

I have an job interview at Gilly Hicks on Tuesday and I'm really confused on what to wear. I was thinking about wearing shorts and a pretty, girly t- shirt. Is this okay or should I think of something else? And I would also like to know if tiny nose piercings are acceptable. Thanks in advance!

Job Interview Questions: What should I wear for my first job interview?

I'm 16. I have an interview on Wednesday at Winners and I don't know what would be appropriate to wear. I do not own any black pants or really dressy kind of tops. I was thinking something along the lines of dark skinny jeans, a tank top with a black cardigan and flats and natural makeup. Would that be too casual?
Any other tips would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

5 Simple Rules for A Great Job Interview

    Recommended Answer:
Basically you want to come looking decent & well groomed to show you care enough about getting the job that you put effort into getting prepared. It sounds fine to wear dark skinny jeans, but make sure they are really dark, because lightwashed will come off looking too "weekend casual". The top sounds good just make sure to wear a cardigan with the tank top. Flats sound good too! Try not to wear anything that will distract from you as a future employee. No loud colors or makeup or obnoxious accessories, etc. Be yourself. Don't be nervous. And good luck! :)

The Values That You Should Have in a Job Interview

    • You should wear dress pants or a skirt and a nice top.
But if you do not have that, then what you picked out should be fine.

Job Interview Questions: Appropriate hosiery for a job interview?

I have an interview at a law firm tomorrow for a receptionist position. I have a blazer, white button down, pencil skirt and black heels. What sort of hosiery should I wear? Nude hose, black opaque hose, sheer black hose? I'm not sure if it matters much or what would be most appropriate. I have no idea how anyone there dresses. Thanks!

Job Interview Questions: Job Interview Wants Me To Bring ID and SS Card, Will Any Of The Following Be Accepted Instead?

I don't have my ID but I have my SS card. I also have a passport, a birth cirtificate, a school ID and a drivers permit. Will any of those be okay or should I cancel the interview? It's like 3 days away so going to the DMV to get one won't do much for this situation as they typically take a week or so to mail it.

Job Interview Success - How to Go After Your Dream Job

    Recommended Answer:
The first answer is right. All employers are required to complete a form I-9 to validate you're legally able to work in the US. Below is a link to the form and it shows the identifications required - passport works just fine. If a driver license is required for some other purpose (driving for the company) you can probably use the DMV receipt until the actual license arrives.

What is Your Worst Job Interview Weakness?

    • Passport is a more acceptable than any other ID. Passport should be fine unless the job requirements involve you driving company vehicles or being on the road.

Best Answers to the Trickiest Job Interview Questions

    • Not all the interviewers can do good interviews. Some interviewers act very unprofessional, get easily distracted and even nervous.

While job seekers are searching for interview tips in Google, there are almost equal number of searches by interviewers to know how they can interview better. So, it is not surprising if you see some interviewers acting this way.

If you attend a phone call during the interview and keep laughing throughout the interview, I am sure that the person who takes the interview might not want to hire you. If it is wrong to do as a candidate, then it is also wrong to this as an interviewer.

Remember that an interview is a two way process.. You too are evaluating the company and trying to decide if the job is right for you.

    • Sounds like you could have a court case against this guy to me - totally unprofessional - see this blog post for what you can't ask in a job interview too to see if he went wrong on any of these

    • Are you a woman? If so thats probably why...Its rediculous I know. If your not a woman and your a man then who knows the guy just seems plain rude who would want to work for someone like that anyways?

Job Interview Questions: Job interview suggestions for a first timer?

I have a job interview friday at 11 am. i'm excited and nervous!

Job Interviews - Will Practice Help?

    Recommended Answer:
Show up on time. Smile a lot. Don't dress up but dress very neat and clean, and with a big smile. Answer questions directly, looking right in the person's eyes, and smile. Did I mention how important it was to smile? 8^)

Think about what they're looking for--someone who is good with people, especially children. Someone who is cheerful and makes you feel good. Someone who doesn't mind working hard, when necessary (and if you think it's really easy work, scooping ice cream for families on hot Summer days, you might be surprised!) And of course someone very honest.

Normally when you go for a job interview you want to try to talk about your background, your qualifications, your achievements, etc. But in a job like this you don't have any of that. All you have is yourself, what kind of person you are. By all means be yourself! Don't try to delude them. But try to show up the qualities that you think will make you good in this job--patience, willingness to work, honesty, cheerfulness.

And try to relax. Walk in there thinking they like you and you already have the job, they just want to ask you a few questions before you begin.

    Good luck!

Job Interview Questions: What type of questions get asked in a job interview?

I have never had a job interview before just because at the time, I focused on college work rather than looking for a job.

Starbucks rang and asked me whether I was still interested in the job and told me I could come for an interview.

I have never had an interview before and I have no idea what to expect and to make them really want me for the job. Have you any ideas on what they may ask?

    Many thanks
