Job Interview Questions: Do you have to wear pantyhose to a job interview in healthcare?

What if you are wearing a very nice conservative black suit and black shoes. Is it necessary to wear hose? If so do they have to be off black?

Preparing For a Job Interview - How to Ace Your Job Interview and Jumpstart Your Career

Recommended Answer:
If a guy came in with a business suit and no socks, what would you think? Hose make you look more professional. Professional and well groomed make a better impression. If the interview is worth the suit, don't stop short. Skin tone would probably be a better choice. Black hose with a black suit is too much black.

Job Interview Strategies That Work - Create Your Perfect Interview Movie

  • Apparently, office attire is reverting back to the '80's when hose were worn more often. I would wear the hose to the interview, they may have a dress code for women which requires hose when wearing skirts or dresses.
Wear a suntan or nude shade. Don't wear black or off-black. You're not going to a funeral.

  • How old are you ? Did your mother teach you nothing?
A lady wears hosiery to a job interview if she wants the job! You can go into the ladies room directly after wards and strip them off if you want, but go properly dress for the interview. As the one gentleman said , how would you feel if a guy went to an interview in a suit and no socks with his shoes?
(Rolling my eyes over common sense issue!)

  • I would advise you to wear pantyhose to the inerview.

  • I'm sure you're going to get hired cause you wore the pantyliners.

Job Interview Questions: What to say at a job interview?

How should I respond when an interviewer asks me "What are you weaknesses?" and "Why do you want to work for us?"

I have my umpteenth interview at a credit union tomorrow, and those are the two questions that I can never seem to answer very well. Any suggestions?

Job Interview Preparation Tips From an Experienced Manager of Sales Job Interviews

Recommended Answer:
for 'why do you want to work for us' i always say that i would love the expierence with working with a company such as this, i think it can teach me alot and i can offer it alot...blah blah blah it all depends on where and interview is. but something like that..that shows you want to learn from them and you are serious about your future.

'what are you weaknesses'..thats a tough one. i usually go with "i'm a perfectionist" (LOL) cause from a coorporations point of view, thats not really a weakness, but will totally pass as an answer. or something like " i am concerned with everybody getting their job done right, and sometimes my peers dont appreciate it..." but you know managment appreciates it..but thats borderline sucking up. again, it all depends.

good luck!!!

Job Interview Training For Managers - Will's Story

  • What are your weakness?

    A. I sometimes tend to focus on a goal and may work at it and be so determined to get it after others have given up or that they think that it may not be worth it after a while. And I still try to go for it.

This shows that you like to work hard for your goal and even though not know when to quit could be a weakness it could be strength to.Why do you want to work for us?

    A. Because a credit union in these financial times are a valuable source to help people. I know I can help inform new and existing customers how this credit union can help them and in turn gain more members for the credit union. And in turn cross sell them more products and services.

Remember companies no matter who they are want to hear how you can help them earn more money.

    good luck

Job Interview Questions: Job interview-Previous employer with bad work environment.?

I am looking for another job because the working conditions with my current employer are horrible! The way they operate and their processes are not very customer friendly at all! Should I mention any of that when I interview for other jobs?

Job Interview Tip Number 1 is Preparation

Recommended Answer:
Tread lightly when you do mention it. If you dwell too much on how bad it was then you can easily sound like a complainer or someone who's never happy. But if they ask why you left, there's no need to lie - just be careful how you word it. Instead of complaining about how horrible the place was to you personally (makes you appear self-centred), focus on how the previous place wasn't good to their customers (poor service, example) and that you don't really want to be a part of that type of place. By focusing on how they were bad to customers and not you, it sounds a lot more objective and that you care more about the customers than yourself

How to Answer Job Interview Questions Correctly and Get Hired

  • NEVER NEVER NEVER speak ill of your previous or currently employer. Interviewers hate that and will throw your application in the trash.
If you have a problem with your employer and need to leave do it as delicate as possible.
try to leave on as good of terms as possible.
tell you interviewer something like you are exploring new possibilities or anything positive don't let on that you job sucks.

  • You probably don't want to come off like you just couldn't stand your boss there. You'll raise a red flag...ie. they'll wonder if you're the know-it-all employee that doesn't get along with co-workers...

You will also burn any bridge with the current boss if you need to cite the job on your resume (ie. JOB EXPERIENCE) in the future...

Just explain that you didn't feel like you were utilizing your professional skills or reaching your maximum potential at your current job...

Job Interview Questions: What should I say to get a job interview going?

I submitted a job application to Blockbuster and wanted to follow-up on it, but also wanted to see if I can schedule an interview as well. What can I say to the manager that can get me an interview? When I follow-up to applications, managers always tell me they're still in the process of going through them so I never really get to the interview. Anyone ever apply to Blockbuster and got an interview? What should I ask the manager to follow up on my application? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks!

Job Interview Questions: Help tomorrow my first job interview?

I have an interview at summer youth works internship program tomorrow. I have never been in a job interview before help how should I dress act everything. I was wondering to wear a black t shirt with jeans. I am 18 years old but I look really tiny for my age.

Job Interview Process 101 for First Time Job Seekers

      • Black minimizes size, so I would wear a red shirt or something more vibrant. Jeans or kacky pants with clean shoes.

Be sure that you are groomed well (clean and a smile).

Be prepared to tell why you want the job and why you want to work with children.
You may be subject to DOJ (Dept. of Justice) exam which just checks to see if you have any record of child abuse (no biggie). Your employer will pay for this.

You may be asked how do you react to pressure? Working with kids is important and no one wants a hothead working with children.

Job Interview Questions: How early should I show up for a job interview?

I have a job interview tomorrow morning and I'm 18 - its for an office job, a data entry clerk position

I was wondering ... how early should I show up?

I was first thinking 15 minutes, but then I wondered if something happened (if I couldn't find the suite or something) I should go there 45 minutes early, and then be in the office 20 minutes early?

Is 30 minutes too early to show up for an interview?

The 60 Second Resume Job Interview Strategy!

      Recommended Answer:
Ten minutes early will do fine. If you get there any earlier, wait in your car, go over your resume, and practice questions so you will be fresh. I would say 30 minutes is way too early unless you can wait in a lobby where the person interviewing you won't see you.

      Preparing For Job Interviews

      • Not too early to be waiting in the parking lot, but too early to be in the office. Don't walk in until about 10 minutes before, and wait in your car until then. (I always try to park somewhere that doesn't feel so awkward while I sit and wait...but that's just me.)

      • well its simple . 30 minutes will be too much. it is just fine with 10 or 15 minutes early.
that will be good for you to have your breath and calm down a bit and also to take over your nerves.

      • 30 minutes is way too early. 20 minutes would be okay.

      • 15 minutes

Job Interview Questions: Should I wear a suit to every job interview?

I hardly ever wore a suit when I went to a job interview. Most of the jobs I apply for are factory like and I wouldn't wear a suit while working. Sometimes I am even shown the work area after an interview. My success at getting any further than the first interview have been small. Should I wear a suit to any job interview I go to regardless of the type of work I will be doing?

Job Interview Preparation - Three Key Steps

      Recommended Answer:
For any kind of professional job, wear a suit. If you'd be working on the factory floor, non-supervisory job, a suit shouldn't be necessary but be sure to dress neatly, and a collared shirt with a tie wouldn't hurt.

Job Interview Questions: Is it ok to wear tinted fashion eye glasses for a job interview?

I'm not good looking and I have Bell's Palsy, I think of wearing eye glasses to look more mature and polite. Is it ok to wear tinted glasses? This is more fashion but not shades or sun glasses.

Or can you show me what kind of eye glasses are acceptable for job interview?

      Thanks a million!

      Special Job Interview Considerations

      Recommended Answer:
Only if you think you could wear them at the job you are applying for.
For a professional job where you may be working at a desk - no problem.
If you are dealing with customer service you need to mention this...

      Job Interview Techniques

      • In a job interview, the representative from the company is asking himself whether the person he is interviewing can do the job, and whether the person is reliable, whether she would be working without the boss pressing on. This last is not easy to find. We are social creatures, everybody talks on the job with the coworkers, of talks on the phone to somebody outside work. There is also a limit, and beyond this limit, the employee is warned or fired. No boss likes to do this, and takes precautions by hiring the person that looks less likely to goof on the job.

As far as this matter, the keyword is conservative. Tinted is acceptable, as to protect the eyes from the light, but not to hide the red of your eyes from the party you left at 5:00AM

I assume it changes in places, but in my particular place of work, medical eyeglasses convey seriousness. Many people need eyeglasses, but they do not like to wear them, so they do not. There are jobs that need good eyesight, but they hope to get by, when the job is not done as well.

If you wear eyeglasses in the interview, but do not wear them later, the boss may ask himself whether you need them, whether you are doing the job less well. So, if you wear them in the interview, be prepared to wear them occasionally on the job.

      • You can use DKNY eyeglasses. It is formal but really cool. It is suitable for you everywhere including for a job interview.

        I've bought mine at dknyhandbagssale.com/dkny-glasses-5575-silver-demo-lens-1002/

        It is affordable.

      • Maybe if you are getting an interview for a job in the fashion industry but overall it may appear rude if the interviewer can't see your eyes because you want to appear sincere and genuine and you need to connect with th interviewer overall..hope I helped and good luck!!:D

      • Generally tinted glasses are not preffered in interview. Corrective glasses are accepted in interviews and business environment. Have a clear idea about the interview guidelines before going to an interview.

      • Depends on the job, but I'd say not to wear tinted glasses.

      • No----no tented glasses on interviews.

Do not get down on your self----dress sharp, stand up straight, smile and tell them that you are there to work.

        Good luck.

      • Don't wear tinted glasses unless your job interview is in the fashion industry.

      • of cause it is ok! Do what you like!

Job Interview Questions: What kind of paper do I send a job interview thank you letter on?

I want to send a thank you note/follow up letter after a job interview I had two weeks ago indicating that I am still very interested in the position.

What type of paper/stationary do I send it on?

Top 10 Tips for Excelling in a Panel Job Interview

      Recommended Answer:
You need to go to the stationary store and ask for a box of thank you notes. They'll cost you about 3 or 4 dollars and there will be about twenty in the box.

The Comic Tragedy of Job Interviews

      • Plain white paper that your printer uses, you need it to look as professional as possible. I'd be calling them on the phone for a follow up though.

      • Two weeks ago?? Forget it. It should have gone out after you got home from the interview. It won;t make any difference now.,

Job Interview Questions: What should I wear to my job interview?

I have a job interview at a smoothie stand inside of an athletic store. I want to dress up for the interview so I'll make a good impression but I don't want to over-do it (the employees wear t-shirts, gym shorts, and running shoes). What can I wear that will look sophisticated and put together but still semi-casual?

If Job Interviews Scare the Snot Out of You

      Recommended Answer:
Never wear blue jeans while attending a job interview. Casual job interview attire is not advisable if you are serious in getting the job.
The general rule is to opt for conservative shades and designs. Bright checked shirts, loud colored blouses, and odd designed dresses are not to be worn at all.
You have to ensure that the set of dress you have decided to wear for your interview is sparklingly fresh and without any crease marks whatsoever. Also ensure that the shirt is buttoned up fully when attending the interview.

Job Interview Tips - What To Do Before And During The Interview

      • A nice pair of dark or medium jeans with flats and maybe a tweed coat or a trench with a pretty blouse might work, but if you are looking for something a bit more casual, some shorts with a long sleeve t shirt and sandals would be cute.

      • no bootie shorts! Shorts about a bit over the knee with a nice polo, or a longsleeve striped or plaid shirt. nice and plain would do the trick. nice gladiator sandals or basic flats. good luck, hope you get it!
