Job Interview Questions: Any tips for a Hollister job interview?

I visited my local Hollister store in person and filled out an application to work in their store. On the application I chose one of their interview dates. My interview is on Friday. Any tips on how to prepare for it and what I should expect?

Job Interview Secrets and Best Practices That Land Job

If you're a great fit for the company you will reflect that by being you! Wear an outfit reflecting your version of their style, not necessarily their label. No black clothing as they don't sell black attire. Make it clear that you love their flair for fashion and comfort and that you have what it takes to service their like minded customers. Also, make it clear that your voice has the capability of being heard over the store speakers. And, most importantly reflect that you are a team player with the ambition to grow within a company that services the needs of the comfort seeking, trendy, dressers.
Take your resume, arrive early or on time, and be yourself! You should be well on your way to their employee discount in a single interview!

Job Interview Success - How to Go After Your Dream Job

  • Make sure you wear clothing from hollister when you go to the interview, dress appropriately and be on time. Goodluck

  • Hollister is a junk store that treats their workers like crap. And they are cheap. Don't go.

  • They really want their employees to wear plaid so I bet you anything if you wear plaid it will look a lot better. Also dark skinny jeans and flip flops. Natural makeup, no eyeliner. No nail polish on your fingers.

  • Be Yourself but don't be too much.
also come in looking natural. don't have highlights.
    nails painted etc.
ALSO pay attention and just RELAX. :]

Job Interview Advice Everyone Can Use

How to Dress for a Job Interview - Women
Perfect grooming is your first assignment when you interview for a job, whether you want to be a CEO or an entry-level factory worker. To a prospective employer, how you dress says a great deal about you.

1 Call the receptionist or secretary at the prospective employer's office for tips on what employees there wear.
2 Consider the job's location. If it's a library in a strip mall, you can wear a sweater and slacks. At a corporate office, wear a conservative business suit. A pantsuit with a sweater or blouse is appropriate for an informal office.
3 Choose between closed-toe shoes, pumps and loafers. If you are wearing a skirt, nylons are a must.
4 Avoid miniskirts, tight sweaters, sloppy overalls and sandals with straps.
5 Check your outfit for holes, tears, stains, scuffs or wrinkles.
6 Tone down the use of makeup, hair spray, perfume and jewelry. One nose ring is one too many and may cost you the job of your dreams.
7 Inspect your hair, nails, hems and the shine on your shoes.
8 Wear a silk scarf and carry a nice briefcase or portfolio. Leave the oversized, disorganized handbag at home.

If you click on the link below, there are other links at the bottom right hand side of the page that answer this same question about what to wear to an interview. Each author has their own version of what to do but there are some similarities that they all have in common.

Number 4 mentions dark colors. Basically, it is good to wear a dark colored outfit (black, brown or navy blue) with a white blouse or something like that. In the business world, those are known as "power colors."

I hope this helps you land your job. Good luck:)

  • Lol... well considering you didn't mention if you're male or female...

I would probably wear a nice polo, black slacks, a black belt and nice shoes (ie if you're a guy black dress shoes, if you're a girl dressy flats). Picture professional golfers. That's how you should dress. Its not over done and stuffy so it'll show you're approachable (important for the position) but still respectful and professional.

    GOOD LUCK!! =]

  • Lean toward a formal attire (not jeans+t-shirt) but not a business suit either. I would say a long-sleeved dress shirt and beige dress pants with nice dress shoes. I guess anything dressy but not too fancy.

  • i know what you went through
i would suggest something not to formal bu not to casual either
i hope my advice helps and remember always be yourslef

Job Interview Questions: What should I wear to my job interview?

I got a job interview at Target! But what should I wear? I'm a 16 year old girl if that helps! Are dark skinny jeans okay or do I need to wear khakis? Any advice is greatly appreciated:)

Congrats on your interview!
It's better to be a little over dressy than to be too casual if anything.
I think crisp, dark jeans are okay. No rips, paint splatter, or fading. If you don't feel comfortable with that go with some simple khakis. Wear a RED shirt, they'll appreciate you're already showing "team spirit" if you get my drift. Go for just a simple red t shirt, nothing on it and wear a nice silver necklace (doesn't have to be real silver). Don't overdo makeup or accessories. For shoes you can wear ballet flats or a clean pair of Chuck Taylors. Most of all wear a smile, that leaves a great impression.
Good luck on your interview!

You probably don't even need a resume. As long as you're a competant young adult who can act professional then you're all set. Do bring two forms of ID withe at least one being picture ID, and your social security number as well. If it makes you feel more confident practice interview questions with someone. Guarentee they're going to ask something like "Why do you want to work here?" and "Give me an example of when you had to work on a team."

Job Interview Questions: How to dress for a job interview at Hooters?

Hi, I'm a young woman and I have a job interview in a few hours and if I'm really trying to get a job there as a server, how should I dress?

Top 7 Ways to Prepare For a Successful Job Interview

    • Unlike interviews for other jobs, to get hired for a job at Hooters, the less clothes the better. So just wear a pair of shorts or a mini-skirt and a blouse, and your outfit needs to be... revealing.

      OK, let's get serious here:

Although the uniform for waitresses and servers there are very revealing, you should dress just as formal as an interview for other professional jobs. The interviewer wants to envision you as a future manager, so the better you dress, the more likely you will get a job. Dress to impress.

    • I'm just going to point out that your pic and name are of a guy. Alright, now that we're past that... Business casual but something with cleavage showing. Wear a push up bra.

    • You dress like you would any other interview.
