Job Interview Questions: I have a job interview at Abercrombie and Fitch tomorrow, what EXACTLY should I wear?

I've searched for this before, and I know to wear Abercrombie's colors, navy blue and gray, right? But does it have to be Abercrombie clothes, or can it be a nice sweater? What can I wear on my feet?

Job Interview Success: 6 Tips to Get You the Job You Want

Recommended Answer:
Try dressing casually, but with something that expresses your individuality. I don't think you have to wear A&F clothes.

Job Interview Skills

  • Just wear something that you would normally wear. They like to see your individual style. Nothing too crazy though. Also don't go in there in all Abercrombie clothes.

Job Interview Questions: First Job Interview Advice- McDonalds Australia?

I have my first ever job interview tomorrow at McDonalds. I am 15 and only have a very limited idea of what to expect.

I already pretty much know what I'm wearing. The main things I want to know is what sort of questions to expect. Any other advice at all would help though. Thanks!

The No 1 Most Popular Job Interview Question - "Tell Me All About Yourself"

Recommended Answer:
okay. well, expect to be asked to give examples of situations where you have worked as a part of a team, solved a problem effectively, or shown particular care for another person or their needs. teamwork is the main focus in any workplace (especially maccas) and customer service is a close second.

smile a lot, but no so much that you look rapist or mentally disturbed, and if they ask why you want the job for the love of god say something GOOD, like 'i want to learn to expand my people skills and develop good team ethics' or 'i think that its a valuble skill, to be able to work in a team.' or even 'i would like to get as much experience as i can working before i go to university.' if you have no intention of going to university, and wish to continue working in mcDs as a career (i wouldnt reccomend it but its your choice) then tell them that you 'think mc donalds is a great well known company, where there is a lot of room for success and career development in the long term.'
DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES TELL THEM YOU NEED MONEY!!!! not only is the pay terrible, but the work industry dislikes this sort of brute honesty in its workers (hypocritical, right?) and you will be immediately kicked out of the interview, being told that you are 'unsuitable' for the position. dont make the same mistake i did, and assume they will value your truth telling.
they will not.

after they have asked you questions, they will ask you if you ahve any you want answered.
dont ask dumbass questions, like 'can i have free food?', 'what happens if im late' or 'what happens if i am caught stealing ****?'
these questions will be answered later, when you get the job.
also, they are stingy fullas and no, you dont get free food. just half price on your breaks. miserable, right? you cant even eat the stuff dropped on the ground.
if you really must ask questions, ask questions that sound like you may be interested in the company. a good example is something like 'so, can you tell me a little about furthering your career within the mcdonalds company?' or even
dont ask when to expect a response. they will generally tell you, and if they dont then wait untill you are just about to leave and ask them as a casual afterthought when they may possibly get back to you. this makes it look like you care, but it doesnt seem desperate.

other general questions will be along the lines of what experience you have (its okay if you have none, just say that you are eager to learn) a few 'what would you do if scenarios' and maybe a few simple math equations, to make sure you can handle money.

when they shake your hand, squeeze firmly but no so hard their fingers fall off. dont be nervous, and if you get to anxious just say ' sorry, im a little nervous, could you repeat the question?'

say thank you to your interviewer (common sense) and good luck!

Job Interview Questions: Job interview questions?

I am 18 years old and I have recently scheduled a job interview at wal*mart, for the glasses department. I was just wondering what kind of outfit I should wear to the interview. Also, I need a few tips on what a job interview really means. In other words, does it mean that basically I already landed the job? Any good tips for job interviews? Thanks a lot.

Job Interviews Are Fearful Experiences - Follow a Proven Outline to Ace Your Next Interview

Recommended Answer:
For clothes, Look what everyone else wears at the store and wear something just a little nicer. As for job interview tips, have a look in the career portal and at the article about the top 10 interview questions below. Good luck.

Countdown to Job Interview? Know What to Expect and Launch Your New Career

  • Kinda easy. Wear smart/smart casual, the more reliable you appear to be the more they would want to hire you. They will basically ask you why you want the job and what you are expecting to get out of it. Answer them truthfully with care and be sure not to keep jabbing them about how much you will get paid.

  • a job interview means you are being interviewed for the job, you do not have the job. dress
conservatively and let them know you really want the job and you would like to make
a career out of working for wal mart. be polite and do not make a big issue out of the salary.
    best of luck.

  • you do not have the job, they are interviewing you for the position. checking to see if you are the right person. wear nice clothes. no t-shirts, shorts, or baggy pants. Don't try to be a pimpette either. Just wear a nice buttoned shirt and slacks. Look the person in the eye. If you shakes hands.. do it firmly.. try not to answer question hesitantly.

  • I have the same question with you.

Job Interview Questions: I finally got the job interview! what should i wear?

I'm 15 years old and i live in chicago. I am going to be moving to los angelas in summer of 2011! Until then i have to go to a couple of job interviews to make sure i am perfectly suited to get it! It is a modeling career for Seventeen Magazine Tm. Any thoughts on what i should wear?

How to Ensure You Fail Your Job Interview

Recommended Answer:
Hmm...even though you're going in for a modeling job, you still want to look professional. Try to be conservative with your choice, but since it is modeling keep that in mind. If it's cold where you're at a classic black dress, tights, and heels is always a good choice.
Remember that although they're hiring you for your looks, what they really want to do is sell a certain brand's clothes or marketing something else. What I mean is wear something that's attractive, but not too distracting: no dizzying prints, not a ton of makeup, etc; keep the slate clean, but slightly polished!
Finally, a nice touch is to look at last month's issue and wear something following the latest trends they write about. That way you appear researched and that you really care to get the job.
Best of luck in your interview!!

The Best Job Interview Tips To Help You Get Hired Fast

  • Considering it will be pretty warm and it is a Teen mag, I would say a below the knee, sundress would be good. Possibly a halter top type of dress. That will show off your arms and legs in a suitable way. As far as should, some nice wedge sandals or sandal flats would be good.

  • Normally, the rule is to dress as if you were going to work there. For a modeling position, be sure to show off your assets.

Job Interview Questions: Job interview yesterday asked to get a drug test did i get the job?

I went to an interview yesterday and talked with two different people. After the interview they had me fill out a background check consent form and printed me off a paper to get a drug test done, and also asked my shirt size. Does this mean i got the job? They never said we will be in contact or anything? I got the drug test done this morning, how long will it take for them to get the results of the background check and drug test?

Succeeding in a Job Interview

Recommended Answer:
The drug test can take as little as one day, but plan on 4-5 days and that would include the background check as well. These checks and tests cost them money (you didn't pay for them, right?) so it is likely that they are planning to hire you. The shirt size (this is a "uniform" type of position, right?) is also additional conformation, but nothing is a guarantee until you get the call or the letter, but be prepared.

What Colors To Wear To A Job Interview

  • If you are asked to take a drug test and asked what size you wear, it's safe to say you got the job (assuming you passed the drug test)

  • Sounds like a conditional job offer.

  • yeah if you did the drug test you got the job

just a matter of a few days till you hear from them now

Job Interview Questions: I have a job interview, how do i add color to my attire?

I have a job interview on monday, and im going to wear black pants, black shirt, and black shoes. For me that is A LOT of black. i like color. i have a green scarf that i love, and dont know what to do with. how can i wear the scarf to add color and style, but not look unproffesional and tacky?

Job Interview Help - Some Things That Might Help You Ace Your Job Interview

Recommended Answer:
Wrap the scarf around your neck, then knot it so that is cuffs around your neck, with the two ends sticking out. It is very stylish, and classy. Another sugestion is, if you are willing to, maybe change the pants to a flattering skirt. This way, you can find a skirt with a few pale colors, maybe ones that match your scarf. This will make your outift more feminine, and will make the scarf work better. Also pick accessories like green post earrings. Another way to find out more about the scarf techniques would be to google it, or check the styles out on google images. Good luck on your interview, and I hoped this helped you to dress for success!

Job Interview Questions: What should I expect at a Job Interview?

I'm just wondering what I should expect at a Job Interview, What kind of question will they ask? My first interview at MacDonald

What to Do Before, During and After a Job Interview

Recommended Answer:
For a professional interview usually they ask something about yourself and ask everything that you wrote in your resume. They also ask for your strength, weakness, opportunities and threats. What are the things that you want to do like sports, hobbies and other stuff.

They also ask why did you apply for that certain position or why did your choose that company among others.

The key to an interview is confidence, knowledge and willingness to take the risk. So just relax, pray and everything will be alright.

Lots of goood luck and hope you get the post :)

Essentials of Job Interviewing

  • The first thing they will probably ask is "Tell me something about yourself" They want to know about you: I am an organized, self-motivated, and energetic person. I like to be part of a team and have flexible work hours. I am a quick learner and really want this job.
They will ask you to explain when you: were part of a team; when some project you worked on failed (what did you do); have you ever worked with the public; what are your strengths; what are your weaknesses.
They always ask if you have any questions for them. A good question is, "I like to learn new things. Is there training available for me?"
Hope this helps: congrats on getting an interview.
    Oh, smile; it helps.

  • Describe yourself?
    What are your strenghths/weaknesses?
what does customer service mean to you?
Maybe some senarios....customer angry at you for giving wrong change...what do you do?
    previous experience?Good luck!

  • "can you put things in a fryer then take them out 40 seconds later?"

"have you ever been convicted of murder?"

    1. yes
    2. no

Job Interview Questions: What are the do's and don'ts for a job interview?

I'm just curious to know what you should do during a job interview, a long with what you shouldn't do at a job interview?

Useful Tips in Handling Job Interviews

Recommended Answer:
Here are some very general do's and dont's:

Do's:
- Be polite to everyone even the receptionist (doesn't matter it they are rude, doesn't condone you being rude, and you never know it could be a test to see how you react)
- Dress appropriately
- Be prepared - almost all interviews will ask you to tell them what you know of the company/job - do your research. Employers are not impressed by people who have no clue about the company and/or the job they are applying for.
- Ask questions at the end - interviewers like it when people ask questions - it shows interest. However, if you really don't have any questions (for instance, you felt everything was covered) don't ask a question for the sake of it. Just say, I was going to ask ...... however that was covered earlier.
- Be yourself - don't try to be someone you think they are looking for. When seeking employees, companies are looking for someone that can not only do the job but someone who will fit into the culture of the company. And besides it is easy to tell when people are pretending to be something they are not.

Don't

- In the interview, don't critice previous employers/work colleagues. Doesn't matter if they were in the wrong, if you bi*ch about them it doesn't look good on you.
- Don't ask about pay in the interview, this should be saved until you are offered the job. If however they ask you about pay (e.g. how much do you think we should pay you) feel free to respond. Provide a good valid reason though for how much you feel you deserve (e.g. prior experience certainly warrants pay higher up the scale)
- Don't be late - if you are running late ring the company and tell them how late you are going to be and why you are running late.

Get Hired Fast & Earn More - Top 5 Job Interview Tips

  • DO:
    Dress nicely,
Be confident (employers can tell if you aren't confident, and they won't like it),
Ask questions (show the employer that you understand the company well enough to be able to ask questions about it),
    Make and keep eye contact

    DON'T:
    Show up late,
Ask how much you will make,
Act shy (it comes across as a lack of confidence)

    Good luck.

  • eye contact not looking every were but the person who is interviewing yu, dressed professional not with tenna shoes jeans and what ever kind of shirt, polite manner not going in acting foolish, keep to the topic not talking about everything eles but wat yu should be talking about, and tone down your languidge yu should not curse during an interview.

i guess these are the most important do's and dont's

Job Interview Questions: Is it normal to be nervous on a job interview?

Has anyone ever been so very nervous on a job interview that you couldn't even properly answer the questions! And then you wasn't offered the job and you know that it's because you were so nervous!

Improve Your Job Interview Skills to Get Your Dream Job

Recommended Answer:
An intelliegent interviewer can tell and assumes most will be nervous. It is all in how you handle that nervousness that will tell them what they need to know. If I interview a prospective sales person and they appear nervous to me I will determine if they can overcome this before they represent the company so it is an issue. If I am interviewing for a warehouse guy I could care less but if someone makes me uncomfortable I will probably round file the application.

  • Just tell the interviewer up front that you do tend to get nervous, and that it may affect how you sound or act. He or she will try to comfort you and will look past the nervousness.
