I've searched for this before, and I know to wear Abercrombie's colors, navy blue and gray, right? But does it have to be Abercrombie clothes, or can it be a nice sweater? What can I wear on my feet?

Try dressing casually, but with something that expresses your individuality. I don't think you have to wear A&F clothes.

  • Just wear something that you would normally wear. They like to see your individual style. Nothing too crazy though. Also don't go in there in all Abercrombie clothes.

Job Interview Questions: How should I dress for a job interview?

I'm 17 years, and I have a job interiew tomorrow.
I was wondering, if I should just dress casual or wear a shirt and tie?

Job Interview Tip Number 1 is Preparation

Recommended Answer:
It really depends on the job you're looking for.
In my experience and my friend's experience if you wear something that you'd never ever wear during the job your boss may get a little miffed because you were just putting on a facade during the interview.
If you're going for a desk job and would wear nice clothes definitely a nice shirt and probably some khakis. A tie may be too much but really use your own judgement. You can always bring the tie with you and when you get there if you're feeling it put it on the bathroom before you go in.
If you're interviewing for something more casual like a video store or a market or book store (etc.) you don't have to dress up so much. Just probably nothing that you think would scare off the boss.
If you know the boss it'd be good to figure out of they'd be intrigued by things like cool jewelry and stuff or intimidated and put off.
If all else fails just remember - you want to be yourself but present the best version of yourself. But don't raise the bar too high and give yourself room to get better. :)
Good luck!

Job Interview Preparation

  • it depends what type of job. if its a job in food like starbucks then you can dress more casual. if it is a big job like an assistant or more business like, you dress differently. you can always wear a black pencil skirt and a blouse. its better to wear darker colors to look more professional. make sure no tattoos are showing if you have any and dont wear to much jewelry. for shoes you can wear either flats or heals. dont wear sneakers or slippers.

Job Interview Questions: Will they ask about criminal convictions during my job interview?

So I have a job interview next week for my first "real" job outside of college. However, I'm worried about my DUI from when I was 18. During an interview, do they ask if you have any criminal convictions? Since I'm a nice looking, well dressed girl....will they just never assume I have a criminal past? I mean, it's not like I have tattoos or nose piercings that would scream "criminal"

What do you think?

10 Job Interview Mistakes to Avoid

Recommended Answer:
You don't really need to as you say "look like a criminal" It is usually common for a job to ask about criminal history on your application and will probably ask you again in the interview as well. I would just disclose it. Because when they do your background check and find out that you didn't disclose it, the reason you don't get the job is because you lied.

Ten Tips For a Successful Job Interview

  • They don't care what you look like.

If they ask people about criminal convictions for that job, they will ask everybody. You will probably be okay if the job does not involve driving; most jobs are only concerned about felony convictions anyway.

If they ask you, be honest about what happened; they may also do a background check on you.

  • Of course they are going to ask. It is better to have a full tattooed bodysuit than a criminal record when applying for any job.

  • They might. They might just run a background check without even asking you directly.

  • Idiot

Job Interview Questions: I have a job interview, how do i add color to my attire?

I have a job interview on monday, and im going to wear black pants, black shirt, and black shoes. For me that is A LOT of black. i like color. i have a green scarf that i love, and dont know what to do with. how can i wear the scarf to add color and style, but not look unproffesional and tacky?

Job Interview Help - Some Things That Might Help You Ace Your Job Interview

Recommended Answer:
Wrap the scarf around your neck, then knot it so that is cuffs around your neck, with the two ends sticking out. It is very stylish, and classy. Another sugestion is, if you are willing to, maybe change the pants to a flattering skirt. This way, you can find a skirt with a few pale colors, maybe ones that match your scarf. This will make your outift more feminine, and will make the scarf work better. Also pick accessories like green post earrings. Another way to find out more about the scarf techniques would be to google it, or check the styles out on google images. Good luck on your interview, and I hoped this helped you to dress for success!

Job Interview Questions: Should i wear a suit to my job interview?

I have a job interview tomorrow for a job in a hotel as an Accommodation Assistant. What should I wear to this interview? should I wear a suit? and if not could you give me alternatives please. Thanks for help in advance.

Job Interview

Recommended Answer:
Ofcourse, since you are applying for a job at a hotel, my opinion would be to definitely show up in a plain black suit with a smart shirt and a tie. I think the way one dresses up is one of the most important things the HR manager of a hotel would notice in the applicant so make sure you look neat and clean with a decent hairstyle and polished shoe etc. Hope it helps. Best of luck ;)

The Three Secrets of Winning Job Interviews

  • Look at how others dress in that location and try to emulate them so you look like you fit in.

  • yes you should wear a suit! black suit with whatever color tie goes with your eyes

  • Dress for the Job as though you already HAVE it.

Looking your best is always a great idea when the job will mean a lot of contact with the public...

  • Whenever I dress for an interview I wear exactly what I would wear to work, unless of course the job requires a uniform.

If the job requires a uniform I think about what scale the place is and try to dress accordingly.

So if the people behind the desk are all dressed nice or in suit and tie fashion then yes you need a suit. If they are all in jeans and tie die and suit is a bit dressy. Get my drift?

If you are unsure I would go with a conservative look. Button up shirt, simple tie, black slacks and a matching jacket. You could also go for a more dress casual look, button up, simple tie, khaki pants and sports jacket.

If you have an idea of what the interviewer is going to wear try to dress roughly the same.

When I interviewed for Fridays Restaurant I wore black pants and a red shirt because that is pretty much what they wear and I got that job. When I interviewed for the office job I have now I wore exactly what I would wear to work and that worked too. So as an Accommodation Assistant what do you plan on wearing to work? Wear that.

  • suit - for any and all interviews in that desired field of employment

9 Most Common Job Interview Questions and Answers

Recommended Answer:
It is a casual place so you have 2 choices. Try to go with the one that fits your personality. You can wear your best clothes; hoping to show the manager that you really take this seriously. Or you dress casually because it will make you more relaxed and "honest" during the interview.
