Ofcourse, since you are applying for a job at a hotel, my opinion would be to definitely show up in a plain black suit with a smart shirt and a tie. I think the way one dresses up is one of the most important things the HR manager of a hotel would notice in the applicant so make sure you look neat and clean with a decent hairstyle and polished shoe etc. Hope it helps. Looking your best is always a great idea when the job will mean a lot of contact with the public... - Whenever I dress for an interview I wear exactly what I would wear to work, unless of course the job requires a uniform.
If the job requires a uniform I think about what scale the place is and try to dress accordingly.
So if the people behind the desk are all dressed nice or in suit and tie fashion then yes you need a suit. If they are all in jeans and tie die and suit is a bit dressy. Get my drift?
If you are unsure I would go with a conservative look. Button up shirt, simple tie, black slacks and a matching jacket. You could also go for a more dress casual look, button up, simple tie, khaki pants and sports jacket.
If you have an idea of what the interviewer is going to wear try to dress roughly the same.
When I interviewed for Fridays Restaurant I wore black pants and a red shirt because that is pretty much what they wear and I got that job. When I interviewed for the office job I have now I wore exactly what I would wear to work and that worked too. So as an Accommodation Assistant what do you plan on wearing to work? Wear that. - suit - for any and all interviews in that desired field of employment
