Job Interview Questions: Job Interview.......?

So today I went to an interview at Texas Roadhouse to be a Hostess. It was my second one, because on Tuesday was the first interview and the man called me back. Today I had my interview with the Head manager and after asking me questions he said that he had just hired four Hostesses in the past week and they are waiting for things to die down before they hire anybodyy else. He said after the dust settles in about a week or two he might call me back. I'm really disappointed as I really wanted this job. Will he really consider calling me back or is that his way of saying I didn't get the job? And should I call back within a week or two? I'm 16 and this would have been my first job.

If he says he just hired hostesses in the last week and won't be needing anyone else for a while yet still gave you an interview is a huge red flag that he was just trying to spare your feelings. If he really already had a full staff then he wouldn't have given you the interview.
