Job Interview Follow Up - Five Simple Steps to Success

Recommended Answer:
Hey. I'm applying there too (no work experience) , how old are you?
Here are a few good questions to study:* How do you handle stress and pressure?
* What motivates you?
* What are your salary expectations?
* What do you find are the most difficult decisions to make?
* Tell me about yourself.
* What are your pet peeves?
* Do you prefer to work independently or on a team?
* What interests you about this job?
* Why do you want this job?
* Are you overqualified for this job?
* What are your goals for the next five years / ten years?
* How do you plan to achieve those goals?

* Most of the questions will be about you and your work ethic.
You're basically trying to persuade the employer to hire you!
Take your time answering questions, it's better to give a well though out answer than a poor one.

Good luck!

so ive got a job interview for TGI Fridays coming up to become a waitress.
I have never been a waitress before so i have no idea what i would say to customers in any tips?

Answer Any Job Interview Question and Get Hired

    Recommended Answer:
when they are silted you approach them and ask if they want drinks, and give them menus, check if they have the proper eating utensils or if they need more. go get the drinks when you bring them back ask if they need more time or if they'd like to order. if they say yes write table number and food (you might want to use abbreviation for everything so you don't take as long). go back send the order to the chef and wait you, once the food is ready bring it to the table and ask if they want any refills or anything else. then stay at a distance where they can see you in case they need something you don't make them wait. if you cant just check on them withing 20 to 15 minutes and ask if everything is ok, if they'd like anything else. once u pick up there plates and there done, ask if they'd like desert or coffee. always smile and have a good attitude then u might get a good tip =)

Job Interview Questions: I have a group job interview at aeropostale and I need advise on how to prepare?

I am new to fashion and clothing stores and any advise on how to impress the manager and what I need to know would be very helpful. Thanks!

Useful Tips in Handling Job Interviews

    Recommended Answer:
Well, since it's a group interview, you want to stand out from the crowd. Make sure you are dressed nicely, but also fashionably (since this is a clothing store). Your hair should be clean and kept in a nice style, nothing "too much" or over the top, just conservative. No strong cologne or anything like that, just something subtle. Make sure you are talkative, approachable, and likeable. Have a good attitude and always be polite to the employer. Have a good/interesting reason for wanting to work there, they always seem to ask that.

    Good luck. :)

How to Follow Up After a Job Interview: Recommendations on What to Say After an Interview

      • Call them or go in person.
This happened to me last year.
They called and said they would be calling me for an interview later in the week.
I'd call and they would say someone would call me back.
I called a few times, same thing.
I should have just gone in but I didn't have gas to be on a goose chase when I needed a job.

      • You can always wait a little longer, if they don't call back you can call and just say you had an interview and they have yet to call you back. Or you can e-mail them with the questions?

Job Interview Questions: Whats the best thing to say and do at tomorrows job interview?

i am going for a job interview tomorrow at toyota of dartmouth the guy that called me on my phone got back to me saying he is looking for part time Greeters I am on disability an can only work 15-20 hours a week would it be wise to tell him this at the interview and what should i say at the interview in your opinion what do you think a greeter would do at a car dealership

Job Interview Cheat Sheet - Top 6 Questions & Mental Strategies

      Recommended Answer:
I think a greeter would greet people, and what a darn good idea that is. I really hate walking into a car dealership with the thought to buy a car, and have no one acknowlege me. Six salesmen, and two are tied up with customers, one is on the phone, one has his head buried in his computer, and the other two are conversing with each other. And I just look around hopefully for a few minutes and then wander over to a car for a few minutes, and if no one has greeted me by then, I leave. So YOUR job will be to greet people as soon as they come in and make them feel welcome. Tell them that someone will be with them shortly, tell them where the restrooms and water fountain are located in case they should need them, invite them to peruse the showroom vehicles while they wait, and then get the promise of one of the sales people to attend to them within a few minutes. I LOVE the idea of a greeter at a car dealership. And yes, you should tell him at the interview that you can only work 20 hours a week.

The Values That You Should Have in a Job Interview

        Recommended Answer:
        Hi Johny,

Sounds like a life guard position,i guess..

Just be calm and show that you really interested to the job like simply tell the interviewer that you love defence and security,Since the job not like most jobs, it is kind of public defence or any sort of protective agency.Other things you must be prepared to do some research of the agency at least the achievement it has contributed and then show your eagerness to be part of them.

Other than that of course you should prepared you stamina too.Probably they test you sort of physical test first, after pass that test only then they interview you.Last,be punctual.

        Ok until then,Good luck!

No Time To Prepare For The Job Interview?

        • Focus your questions about the job you are interviewing for. Don't ask too much about things like benefits and when they will be making a decision about the position - those are sort of mundane questions. What you want to do is be able to follow up on your question with something to reinforce how good a fit you are for the position.

For instance, if you ask "What are the possible career ladders that this position may open up within your organization?" (It implies that you want to be there a long time) and, whatever the answer is, you can say "I'm very excited by this field and hope to be able to use this position to grow within my career."

          Hope that helps!

Appearing For a Dream Job Interview - Things That You Must Not Talk About

        Recommended Answer:
Unfortunately, no. It's because they saw something in you that was above and beyond some of the others who applied, and they'd like to talk with you...and probably a few other people...to determine who will best fit their needs. It's even possible to be called for a second interview and not be hired for the job, but it's a sign you've got interesting qualifications. (In fact, I've even been told I HAVE the job, if I want it, by the head of the department that was hiring, but when I talked with the HR department they told me "the decision hadn't been made, yet"...and I didn't get hired.) In other words, you don't have the job until they tell you when to show up for work, etc. I'm not trying to be discouraging, just honest.

HOWEVER, it wouldn't hurt to show up for the interview as prepared as possible. Study the company (there's this new thing called the "Internet") and learn everything you can about what they do and how they do it. What they'll be interested in learning will be how quickly you'll be able to learn the job they need done, whether you're willing to do it well enough that the company will profit by your efforts and whether you'll "play nice" with the other employees. If you've done your homework, you'll already have some idea how to "slant" your answers to let them know you understand their business, their product, their service, etc., which will increase your chances of getting hired. Good luck! :)

How to Improve Your Job Interview Skills

        Recommended Answer:
make sure you stay relaxed, smile a lot, and be really polite.
also be excited about the company. if they ask you why you want to work at walgreens (which there's a 87% chance they will) do not say it seems like a good job. i did that once.. big mistake lol.
instead you should be really enthusiastic and say how you always go to walgreens because they have the best products. your whole family has always shopped there and the employees were always extremely nice and helpful.
        something like that.
they'll also ask what you would change about yourself if you could. the classic answer is that you would do more community service.
ahah i know... cheesy! but you can say anything along those lines. something you know they would want to hear.
also think of what you would say if they ask you to tell them about yourself.
they'll also ask what you would do in certain scenarios. such as what would you do if a customer complained about a product? or what would you do if a coworker was talking badly to you about the boss.
just try and think about what you would say to all these questions and you'll be fine :)
good luck! and since you posted this 16 hours ago, i'm probly too late. haha oh well it helped me writing this stuff out too cuz i have an interview in a few days :)

Job Interview Questions: How to dress for a job interview?

I need to buy clothes for a job interview, but I don't know exactly what to get. It is for a position in a research lab. I want to know what kind of suit to get, and also which dress shoes, socks, dress shirt, and tie.

Also, can you recommend me a briefcase (one that is leather and has a strap) and a portfolio (that I can keep my notebook and pen in)? I'm looking for something affordable.

I'd also like to know which color and design to get for all these things, and where I can find them.

Job Interview Questions: What are some good job interview tips for shy people?

I'm 17 years old. I'm thinking about getting a job this summer, but I'm nervous about the job interviews. This will be my first job/job interview, so I'm not completely sure what to expect. I'm REALLY shy to the point where I sometimes can't even respond back to questions, but I don't want this to hold me back. Does anyone know of any examples of good things to say during a job interview? Or maybe any suggestions to help me know what kind of questions that could be asked. Thanks in advance!

Sneaky Interview Tips - How to Annihilate Anxiety Before Your Next Job Interview

          Recommended Answer:
Shyness is expected, but it'll also prevent you from really shining and showing what kind of person you are. Being to assertive is equally harmful, so you need to find a fine line to walk in there.

First off don't dread the interview because you'll just feel sick throughout the event and then probably do poorly. My best advice is to do a mock interview with your parents or friends or yourself if need be. Questions they often ask is,

"Please describe yourself" (And this does not mean your personal interests... they want to know what you can bring to the job, so talk about your skills etc...)

          "Whats your experience?"

Some HR people will sometimes play a scenario with you and ask for your thoughts. I remember once when I applied to Bestbuy a long long time ago lol they asked..

"If you saw an employee steal a coke that belonged to another employee, what would you do"
lol you think it's funny but it can answer a lot about the person. You need to answer things like that as if your a diplomat and you'll figure stuff out on your own in the room while being interviewed.

As for your shyness, may I suggest somethings to you as I'm actually a high school history teacher and that's to volunteer somewhere where it requires you to interact with people. I also suggest a library where you can read to children or even a retirement home. Just be around someone with more wisdom and see how much you can interact with them.

Of course being interviewed if much different but I think things like that can help to unlock yourself from that cycle. Just remember that it's normal to be shy, but just don't let that hamper your goals.

          Good luck.
