I am 14/guy and I applied at a diner to be a bus-boy. What should I wear to the interview.

Your Next Job Interview - Are You Prepared?

Recommended Answer:
If you have these things, a pair of dark colored Dockers-type pants and a collared shirt would be your best bet. You don't want to over dress, but if you have a suit jacket or blazer you can add that. But the key is clean, pressed and a collar on that shirt! Good luck with the job interview.

Job Interview Issues - How To Dress To Match The Interview

  • A simple suite (black or blue), white shirt and tie.

Job Interview Questions: Getting ready for my first job interview?

I was called today about a co-op position at a business that I sent my resume into. I'm going through my school, finding a job. It takes up part of my school day, and it will officially start next school year. So I scheduled an interview for next week.
I'm just wondering if anyone has some pointers or dress clothes ideas for me. I'm 16 years old, and this is an office. So I want to try my best to be professional.

Job Interview Techniques to Land Your Dream Job

Recommended Answer:
Before you do anything, you need to research everything about that company and prepare questions for the interviewers to show them how interested you are.

You need to be very calm and confident that day. Make sure you smile, and always look them in the eye when you answer any of their questions and also when you're asking them questions as well.

It shows them confidence, and how friendly you are.
When they ask you questions, make sure you say things like, when i work with (name of their company) what exactly will be my role?

Make sure you mention that you're a team player and that you're a positive person.

At the end of the interview make sure, you thank them for giving you the opportunity to talk about your background and it was a pleasure speaking with them.

Shake their hands, look them in the eye with a friendly smile and tell them you would love to join their company as you believe you would be a great asset for the company and looking forward to hearing back from them.As for the dress code, i always wear dress pants, not too tight, heels, not too high. a buttoned top - no cleavage showing, don't wear too much makeup nor too much perfume.

After a few days, you can email them a thank you email saying you enjoyed speaking with them and very excited to join their company and that you're looking forward to hearing back from them and then just wait until you hear back from them.

Common Job Interview Mistakes

  • A white button up and black slacks.

Allow time before the interview to relax and distress; do not go into the interview super nervous.

Don't worry if the interview is short; all interviews don't have to be long and won't be.

And it doesn't mean you've done a bad job if it is short.

Smile often but not too much, make eye contact.

Prepare flash cards full of important questions; at least 3 questions:

    * "What should I expect if I am hired"?
    * "What is the company known for/motto"?
    * "Can I leave my resume`"?

You can ask plenty more questions but I was just giving a few examples.

Remember that the person interviewing you is human, so that can help you to relax, while you are trying to create a good impression, remember to be personable.

    Good luck! ;)

Job Interview Questions: What should I know before going to a pastry cook job interview?

I have an interview tomorrow for a pastry cook at a country club. I don't have a lot of professional kitchen experience but I really want the job as I'm thinking about going to culinary school. I don't know what kind of interview this is going to be so I don't know if it's just an interview or if I'm going to have to make something. Any tips to help me be more prepared. Any terms I should know or skills I should work on before tomorrow?

Thanks

Hmmm. I would wear something casual and not too formal. Maybe a pair of black trousers with a nice cute t-shirt/blouse. That's what I wore when I went for an interview at River Island. :) Goodluck! Hope you get the job!!! :D (yn) xo

    • i think that you should wear something trendy yet sophisticated.....
waistcoats are really in fashion these days, and they look real smart.
wear a pencil skirt with a basic white shirt. team it up with a waistcoat that is black in color.
if u want something different, then you could try wearing a LBD (little black dress) which goes knee length and preferably little or no design coz u wanna make a bold impression, dont u?

    The Essential Job Interview Checklist

    Recommended Answer:
Don't wear anything. Tell them you are too poor to afford clothes and you really need the job. They will feel sorry for you and give you the job on the spot. Maybe wear one shoe. If they say "Aw, you lost a shoe to?" get real excited and so "NO! I found a shoe!"

Sneaky Interview Tips - How to Annihilate Anxiety Before Your Next Job Interview

    • Brian hit the nail on the head. But I also think he's speaking from the perspective of a corporate interview between big money people (I.e. businessmen, entrepreneurs)

If it's just an interview at a video store, you can pretty much wear whatever you want. After all, you need professionalism to maintain a company, not sell movies.

    • The business world tends to pretend that everyone is conservative, so they dress that way.

Put on something nice but boring. Maybe khaki pants and a nice shirt. You aren't looking for style, you are looking to be taken as a reliable serious person.

That's who I would like to hire.

Job Interview Questions: What kind of thank-you note should I send after a job interview?

I just had a job interview and would like to send a thank-you note to my interviewer. However, I am not sure whether to mail that person a handwritten note or send an email. Which would be more appropriate?

It's irrelevant. If they want you they'll call. A note won't change that.

Best Answers to the Trickiest Job Interview Questions

    • I do agree with the first poster a hand written thank you letter on a post card would be good to send to the interviewer. Consider that if you email him/her, they may have hundreds of email messages popping up through their computer and they may have very little chance to read it and other matters of business to attend.

When you do send one, ensure that spelling, grammar and punctuation is correct.

    • if you can afford the postage stamp... go ahead and hand right it... it should only like 5 minuts to write a note..

      - thanks for letting me have that interview... i appracite the oppertuniy... i hope we get the chance to work together.

    • Send a formal thank you. I would just say thank you for giving me the opportunity to come interview. I look forward to working with you.

    • You can do it either way. If I were you I would type a thank you note and mail it to the interviewer.

    • Handwritten note. Isn't the prospect of possibly getting the job worth an investment in a postage stamp??

    • Handwritten notes tend to stand out in this day and age.

    • Thank you for hiring me
