Job Interviews - How to Ace a Telephone Job Interview

Recommended Answer:
It doesn't help you to call the employer after the interview.

They have their process and they will make up their mind when they are ready. Sometimes they make up their mind right away, then some manager puts everything on hold, so they have to wait.

Also they might offer the job to someone else, and have to wait for them to accept it.

Anyway, calling them won't change anything.

Reasons to call include
1. You have another offer but you prefer this job and you want to know the status.
2. You want to know how you went, that is, you want some feedback. Some managers and HR will be happy to provide this feedback and others are not so helpful.

Job Interview Questions: Went for a McDonald's job interview today....?

I went for a McDonald's job interview today, the interview went really well.
It was pretty easy and the manager was really nice.
He put down the hours i would want to work, and asked if i could work earlier i said yes.
He only asked 3-4 questions and thats it.
When the interview was over, he said he will keep in touch with me?
Does this mean i will get the job? Or any chances.

Job Interviews: Question to Not Ask

    • People don't normally find out whether or not they got any job directly after the interview. I've never worked fast food, but I assume it's the same. The management team will go over all the applicants and decide which ones to hire based on their applications and the interview. They will call you to let you know whether or not you got it. Not all companies will inform you if they've decided not to hire you, so it's usually best to keep looking for work just in case.

    • You probably have a 50-50 chance. However, I wouldn't sit by the phone. You should start looking for another job just in case you don't get the job.

Job Interview Questions: What should a teenage girl wear to a job interview?

I have an interview at Rogers Video in a week and don't know what to wear. I wanna wear something thats professional but not something an adult would wear to work. Also I'm kinda an artsy kid so my style is kinda flirty/edgy/artsy so i wanna show that style just a tad. Thanks in advance, oh and any pictures would be great!

        The Essential Job Interview Checklist

        Recommended Answer:
Don't wear anything. Tell them you are too poor to afford clothes and you really need the job. They will feel sorry for you and give you the job on the spot. Maybe wear one shoe. If they say "Aw, you lost a shoe to?" get real excited and so "NO! I found a shoe!"

        • Brian hit the nail on the head. But I also think he's speaking from the perspective of a corporate interview between big money people (I.e. businessmen, entrepreneurs)

If it's just an interview at a video store, you can pretty much wear whatever you want. After all, you need professionalism to maintain a company, not sell movies.

        • The business world tends to pretend that everyone is conservative, so they dress that way.

Put on something nice but boring. Maybe khaki pants and a nice shirt. You aren't looking for style, you are looking to be taken as a reliable serious person.

That's who I would like to hire.
