Job Interview Questions: How do I know if i will be hired? Today, I had my first job interview. I'm really anxious about it. Is this ?

normal? My interview took awhile. They were two interviewers examined me and they asked almost the same questions. At the end, he told me that they still have more people to interview after telling me that he will call me after a week if I get the job or not.

What to Say During a Job Interview: 3 Steps to Interview Answers That Will Get You Hired

Recommended Answer:
It is always good form to send them a letter or email thanking them for their time in interviewing you. Doing so always makes you look better. If they have not called you in a week, simple call and inquire as to if the position has been filled. If it has, thank them anyways.

Job Interview Success

  • Don't forget, you want to follow up to an interview within 24 hours or so. You want to send thank-you e-mails highlighting parts of the interview you found most interesting, and clarify any points you believe need more explanation.

I have my fingers crossed for you!

  • Dear Dork,

It takes couple of days in the selection process after the interview as they have multiple candidates and they have to pick out the candidate with best skills set. If your have been selected they will contact you through email or telephone.

  • Pretty normal. Good luck.

  • No news is good news, they send an email if they dont want you and call if they do!

Job Interview Questions: Job interview question?

Just wondering.... During a job interview whats the best way to answer the question about how much money you request an hour. Do you say the minimum that you'll accept? Or do you say the amount that you think you really deserve?

Lethal Job Interview Mistakes

Recommended Answer:
you should have some idea about what the job market pays for that type of work and your experience level. no experience min wage to $8.00 per hr or $10 per hr? in some areas like NYC, no one works for less than $10-$12 per hr

Answering Interview Questions - How to Make the Right Impression in Your Job Interview

  • Do some research into the pay scale for the job. Then you'll have a better idea of how much to tell them. In my case. If the job pays in a range of say 8 - 20 dollars an hour, and I have experience. I usually make a bit of a joke with the interviewer, and tell them I'll take however much you want to over pay me.

Job Interview Questions: Should I miss work AGAIN for a job interview?

I missed work yesterday and created a bogus reason as my excuse to attend a job interview, and will miss work again tomorrow to attend another one. Otherwise I'd be 2-3 hours late. This time it's for a job I really, really want as my current job has a very hostile environment and no room for growth. I've been contemplating of quitting but have been sucking it up as I've only been there for 3 months. Any advice?

Job Interview Questions: Would a Green Card be an acceptable form of ID for job interview?

my friend is going for a job interview and she doesn't have a state id or driver's license. She just got here from Philippines in January. Would her green card be acceptable. She has a social security card. So she has 1 of 2 things that are required.

    Recommended Answer:
it certainly should be acceptible. but then I've had people refuse to accept my passport when I wanted to write a check.

How to Perfectly Answer Job Interview Questions Without Breaking a Sweat

    • I have a green card and social security ID as well. I used it for my job interview too. As long as you have a social security ID and some form of other ID to show who you are it is all fine.

    • Another photo ID would be needed.

    • Green card is perfect. It shows both ID and one's right to work in the US.

Job Interview Questions: What to wear for first job interview?

I have a job interview in about a week and a half. It's for a summer job at Sports Authority. I was wondering what I should wear, considering it's Sports Authority.

The Cafe, a Cup of Coffee and a Job Interview - A Dangerous Brew

    Recommended Answer:
You should always dress professional. Even if you were going to interview at Mc Donald's. Carry yourself with professionalism, integrity. It all depends upon how bad you want this job. You will sell yourself if this is really what you want. Remember the first impression, should be a lasting impression.

A Guide to the Most Evil Job Interview Questions

    • Take some time to watch a manager at the Sports Authority, see what he wears into the office. If he is dressed with a tie and shirt but not a jacket, then it is slightly less businesslike in dress. If he even caries a suit jacket in with him for work, ensure you wear one also.
Otherwise, if all are in sporty clothing, why not up it by wearing a blazer jacket (sport Jacket?), semi dressy but not as much as a full suit...
The rule always is dress up, rather than dress down. But it is VERY hard in situations where the average employee is in casual wear. Look towards the managers, then make a decision. I agree with the other person above, first impressions are important!

    • Many people get stuck when they are trying to settle what to wear at an interview. Myself I'm from the old school, I contend that formal wear is never inappropriate; you can get some tips from the website in the box below, they also have a lot of stuff on job searching.

    • Dress professional regardless if its a Sports Authority.First impressions are unforgettable.

Job Interview Questions: What should i wear to a job interview?

I have an job interview today and i was wondering what should i wear. I was thinking some nice blue jeans and a nice shirt or button down. The interview is for a cashier job. Can you please give me some advice on what to wear.

Important Job Interview Tips to Land That Job!

      Recommended Answer:
I wouldn't suggest wearing blue jeans to any job interview. Just dress like you were going to church on Sunday, you know Sundays best. I once had a p/t job at a tanning salon and the owner told me i could wear any pants they just had to be black so I wore a nice pair of black jeans (you really couldn't tell that they were jeans unless you were up close) and she told me we were not to wear jeans and told me to wear black sweat pants! She was actually upset with me over wearing jeans, I was like are you kidding me? So no matter what the job just dress nice until you know the dress code. Good Luck

      • Wearing jeans is one of the biggest mistakes that many candidates make at interview, according to findings here in the UK, so I'd definitely avoid them!

      • Never wear jeans to a job interview, i'd suggest some smart black trousers, and a shirt. It's always better to dress slightly more formally than you would need to if you actually got the job

Job Interview Questions: What should I wear for my job interview?

I am an undergrad college student and I am wondering what should I wear for my job interview? It is for a tutoring position in which I have some experience. I don't want to be too formal but I also don't want to be casual. Please help me out and btw I don't like skirts.

How to Improve Your Job Interview Skills

      Recommended Answer:
Wear a skirt and blouse with dress shoes. No such thing as too formal for an interview. On the other hand too casual means you can't be bothered to show respect for the interviewer. Everyone knows that your attire for the job will be different. The interview is not a clothing tryout for the job. Ignore Isl's answer, she must be a nincompoop.

From the Eyes of a Job Interviewer

      • Go casual. ( Jeans and a hoodie, sneakers )
Pretty sure if your tutoring it should stay kid friendly.
Good Luck, Im sure you'll get the job(:
Remember to smile and be happy :D
But not too happy. Show that you could be strict.
