    • A job is more important then a vacation, if you already have a interview sometime this week you should go to it and take your vacation later, because they might want to work right away.
The way you want to do it, is bad judgment and they might not want you to come for an interview at all.
      So your vacation can wait.

    • IInterviews must be after vacation, so that; during the vacation preparation for the interview can be done.

Job Interview Questions: What to wear to a job interview at kohls?

This will be my second interview but my first for kohls. I had a interview at amc and wore a flannel with black jeans but now i am going to wear black dress pants with a blue dress shirt and black tie.

will i be too overdressed? should i bring a resume too?

Job Interview Issues - How To Dress To Match The Interview

    Recommended Answer:
There is no such thing as over dressing for a job interview. The general rule of thumb is to dress one step up from the employee dress code. So if they where nice shirts and pants, your outfit is perfect. A black tie with the blue shirt would be ideal for colors. You do not wanna be too flashy. You wanna wear a blue or white shirt, with either a blue, red, or black tie. Black pants and clean dress shoes. A nice watch would also look good. To pull it off I strongly would suggest getting a tie clip, as they make you look very well put together and responsible. Don't wear cologne either. These are basic guide lines on what to wear to a job interview, and people at Kohls will be well aware of as they sell dress clothes. They will appreciate you taking the time to really prepare for an interview with them. The resume would not be needed in all likelihood, but bring one anyways.

Why Being Interviewed First Can Mean "Last" in a Job Interview

    • My friend worked at kohls, the tie isn't really needed, me personally it being kohls, you never see an employee wearing dark colors, try getting clothes FROM kohls for the interview, that always looks good wear khaki pants and a light colored shirt and always bring your resume, because what if they ask for it and you don't have it? You should do fine, its a great place to work, GOOD LUCK!

    • Look around at the stores employees. That's a good indicator. I wore:

-a pink and black plaid blazer (it's hard to describe...something like this: cdn1.lookbook.nu/files/looks/medi…
      -black slacks
      -A white sweater
-and black, slightly heeled, pointy toed dress shoes.

      Definitely bring a resume.

      I got the job :)

    • Go naked, cause you have nothing to wear and you act like an preak, if you are a man, chinos and a shirt with a simple single colour tie black is recommended.

Girl pair of office pants and nice top white and a jacket.

    • definitley bring a resume, and no your not too overdressed at all. But maybe put thought into wearing something from kohls like apt. 9 or something that they only have there. this can show them that your well familiarized with the place.

    • No, you will not be overdressed.
Of course you should bring your resume!
You should also consider bringing cover letter as well.

    • Dress like the employees dress at the store. The tie might be too much. I highly doubt that they will expect a resume at Kohls.

    • Please don't wear a black tie. Please.

    • There is no over-dressed for a job interview. Suit up!! Get your game face on!!

Job Interview Questions: What questions to expect at a job interview?

I'm going for a job interview tomorrow as I have applied for a Temporary Office Assistant vacancy. What kind of questions should I expect? That's my first formal interview, as I'm 16.
Any ideas in terms of questions and how shall I answer them? What is a suitable outfit/dress code?

      Thanks for your help!

They will ask you what your biggest weakness is. This is popular now in interviews, a bit of a trick question. Formulate something semi-negative but only so because it's actually positive. Good luck!

      5 Types of Job Interviews

      • Formal dress-white or light colour shirt, a tie and dark trousers, no trainers.

Expected questions are; company's background/nature of business, what and how can you contribute to the company? your strength and weaknesses? why do you select the company to work for? what are your goals?

I expect your questions will be easy as you are 16. However, do not under estimate your rivals. This is the only way to be on top of everything. I interview people many times, I prefer someone who is very natural, relax, good in gerneral knowledge in current news. Don't panic during interview but you need to show how much you want this job.

      • You are 16. They are not going to try and trip you up. If I were hiring a temp who was 16 I would want to know if they had held other types of jobs before and how regular the hours were, like did you babysit every week or mow lawns... Also what type of extra curricular activities you do, how is your school schedule, what do you want to do with your life...

Everyone knows this will be your first real job and that it is not going to be your career. They will want to make sure you show up on time every day and can follow directions.

As far as dress goes, wear something conservative but not dressy. Khakis or chinos, a dress shirt, maybe a tie (but no suit jacket), and nice shoes. Something you would wear to a casual church event.
