If he/she hasn't called you in a week, you can call and say you are very interested in the job and was wondering when they might be hiring, or whatever you are comfortable asking. If they don't respond positively that's all you can do. And it's always a good idea to apply at two or three places anyway, so you might want to continue your search while waiting.

If you do call next week, that's all you should do. No more calls or letters. It's their turn to call you if they are interested after that.

It's easy to get a job there - and you really shouldn't ask questions of the interviewer unless you don't fully understand THEIR question.
    --------------------------
I mean, you can ask a few, like "How many hours a week do you think I would be scheduled for if I get hired?" and "How often are paychecks issued? Weekly or bi-weekly?". Stuff like that.

this job isn't office work or anything so you don't have to be extremely warm. Wear a collar t-shirt and jeans will be fine. You can even wear shorts, but nothing too flashy.

      Job Interview Techniques

      • For a job interview you should always overdress for the job. You're trying to get the job and you want to make a good impression. For job like this a collared polo style shirt, long pants-jeans are fine and shoes-tennis shoes are good. While at the interview you can see what normal work wear is, that's how you can dress if you get hired.

      • t-shirt, flip-flops, no pants. you'll be sure to get the job.

You should probably take it off. You want the interviewer to focus on you and what you say rather than your nails.

      Top 7 Job Interview Tips

      • If this is for an professional type of business interview I would say no. Usually an interview is conducted at a table and your hands will most like be on the table or moving around while you are talking. I think that it will distract your interviewer and they may think it unprofessional.

If this is an interview for a young retail store or with a very relaxed dress code you may be okay.

You need to evaluate the type of place you are interviewing for and see it if would be acceptable. It may be the thing that makes you stand out but unfortunately you won't know if the person interviewing you will like it or not.

      • Speaking with experience from the financial community, it would be a very bad idea, especially if you want to make at least a decent impression.

If you want to make a good impression, kill the green nail polish and tone down the makeup and dress conservatively.

        good luck

      • yes
        take it off
        and if you have residues
        wear a descent color like
        navy blue
        even mustad yellow it lfine
        or deep dull purple
        maroon red
        wear thick colors
        not the watery transparent type
if you have short nails that it
        it look professional
if there long try tips and such
        with natural pink or brown
        good luck

      • Depends on the type of job. If it's an interview at McDonald's, who cares. If it's a professional interview, then yes, take off the nail polish. It'll take you ten minutes to redo your nails afterwords.

      • at a very professional place, yes, take it off and do it one bold color. it will look professional and bold colors represent power. employers want powerful employees at a professional job.

      • Um,.. depends what kind of job a part time job at walmart, it'd probably be okay, but at some executive place you might consider taking it off, if you ever want to afford green nail polish again

      • take the polish off you want to look as proffesional as possible dress tidy with maybe a suit and be yourself good luck with the interveiw!!

      • neon green? depends on the job i would say. it might not matter but the guy/girl might think your a little weird

      • Wear gloves.

      • Yeah I would take it off. That's not very professional.

Job Interview Questions: How to prepare myself for my first job interview?

I just turned 16 years old, and you know what that means...time to get a job. I was notified that I have a job interview this week and I'm scared to DEATH. I could barely call back to verify the interview. Any tips?

Not so long ago, when you went to the local burger joint, it was teenagers working behind the counter, and at the burger grill. Now it is adults as old as their 70s, as many have lost their retirement savings. Currently, there are six individuals for every job. Adults trying to support themselves, as well as families, are taking any job they can, especially those that come with medical benefits. In deciding what to do, the teen has to think outside the box. They need to think beyond that of working in a store, or a burger joint. A teen needs to think about what tasks that need to be done, but people hate doing, even teenagers.

Job Interview Tips: How to Interview With Confidence

      • Dress very neatly. Have a copy of your resume with you on a single page of white paper, no fancy fonts (black ink only). When you meet the iterviewer, say your first and last name very clearly, and shake hands firmly. Look the interviewer right in the eye. When you're done, say thank you and ask for the job. Send a thank you email afterward. Good luck.

They will ask you what your biggest weakness is. This is popular now in interviews, a bit of a trick question. Formulate something semi-negative but only so because it's actually positive. Good luck!

      5 Types of Job Interviews

      • Formal dress-white or light colour shirt, a tie and dark trousers, no trainers.

Expected questions are; company's background/nature of business, what and how can you contribute to the company? your strength and weaknesses? why do you select the company to work for? what are your goals?

I expect your questions will be easy as you are 16. However, do not under estimate your rivals. This is the only way to be on top of everything. I interview people many times, I prefer someone who is very natural, relax, good in gerneral knowledge in current news. Don't panic during interview but you need to show how much you want this job.

      • You are 16. They are not going to try and trip you up. If I were hiring a temp who was 16 I would want to know if they had held other types of jobs before and how regular the hours were, like did you babysit every week or mow lawns... Also what type of extra curricular activities you do, how is your school schedule, what do you want to do with your life...

Everyone knows this will be your first real job and that it is not going to be your career. They will want to make sure you show up on time every day and can follow directions.

As far as dress goes, wear something conservative but not dressy. Khakis or chinos, a dress shirt, maybe a tie (but no suit jacket), and nice shoes. Something you would wear to a casual church event.
