Job Interview Questions: I have a job interview at La Senza...?

I have a job interview at La Senza this Thursday & I'm really excited because I've been looking for a job for a really long time. I'm 17, so I don't have much experience. What type of questions are asked & how should I answer them? Thanks!

Job Interview Questions - Interview Techniques to Prepare You to Ace Your Interview!

Recommended Answer:
Be positive, focus on your enthusiasm for working for them and what you can do to make their company better. Questions can run anything from: 1) Tell me a little bit about yourself, Just be prepared with a little background about you and why you want to work there. 2) Why do you want to work here?--Focus on how you can help them out, not what they can do for you. 3) Best and worst qualities-- Pick something needed for the position you are applying for in the best quality, In the worst pick something they won't care about like, sometimes I get so involved in my work, I have to remind myself it's time to go home-shows you are dedicated, etc. 4) Asking about specific skills you may have 5) Where do you see yourself in 5 years--with them, but that you have earned more responsibility.
Good luck! I hope it all goes well for you!

Job Interview Questions: What questions will they ask me at my CVS job interview?

Hi i am 17 and applied for the cashier job and merchandiser position and i got a call 1 day after i submitted my application what will they ask me? and what kind of clothing should i go in?

Discriminatory Job Interview Questions to Avoid

Recommended Answer:
It being entry level I wouldn't worry about looking highly sharp but if you have anything in your closet that is very nice and non revealing that will be fine. I hate to avoid your question but yr mother would be betterat answering that question.

As far as questions it always can vary such as:
Why do you wanna work for us?
Tell me a little bit about yourself (practice this answer starting now because it'll likely be brought up on every single interview in the future!)

Also if the called you back this soon there is a strong need to get someone in there quick. If I told you any other question's to expect when walking in I'm afraid I'd make you more.nervous than you already would be.
don't forget: smile relax and take a deep breath when you sit down. It really won't be that bad.

The Job Interview Technique That Will Blow Away the Competition

  • Dress nice, shirt and tie if you are a guy, and something relatively equivalent professionally for a gal. (I am not a gal, so I know nothing of what that means, sorry.)

As for what they will ask you:

Tell me about yourself. (This is a wide open "question", but be prepared to give examples of how your personality and work ethic will make you a good employee.)
Why do you want to work for CVS? (Your answer should have more to do with the values the company has rather than the values you have. Research this online before your interview. If you can almost quote from things off of their website, you'll sound really good, for example.)
Where do you see yourself in 6 months, a year, 5 years? (Companies are more interested in people who will stay with the company for long periods of time rather than people who will hop from job to job. Better still if you want to make a career working for them.)
What are your greatest strengths? (Pick something that will help the business.)
What are your greatest weaknesses? (This is a trick question. Be prepared to answer how even your weaknesses will make you a better employee. My answer is usually something like this: "I get really frustrated when I see that I am working my butt off to do my work, and I look around and see my coworkers standing around talking doing nothing.")
How would you handle difficult customers? (Never do anything to escalate the hostility of a situation.)
Tell me about a difficult customer, and how you handled it. (Same as the previous question.)
Tell me about a "favorite" customer. (Go out of your way to describe how you treat the most valued business commodity.)

    I hope this helps.

  • Why are you begging for this 7 dollar an hour job? That is what they should ask you. Finish school, go to college, do what it takes and do not get into the 7 dollar an hour job market. Explain to your parents how this is NOT beneficial to you. If you have to, join the Navy for 2 years to get college money,.

Job Interview Questions: What do you say when you go to a job interview and are asked "why do you want to work here?"?

i can only think of one part, for example, if its like toys R us, you would say something like "well, i like toys and..." but the second part is what i'm having trouble with.

i have a job interview with family video so if asked, i would say, "well i like movies and" but thats all i got, what should the second part be?

Questions To Ask In A Job Interview - 5 Simple Questions To Make Yourself Shine

Recommended Answer:
say you gots to get paid say
i like toys and i gots to get paid
so i come for the money but stay for the toys
that way they know you'll be sticking around a long time because the toys aren't going away
same with the movies

i like movies and i gots to get paid
i come for the money but i stay for the movies

this has worked for me but i usually wait until i have the job before I tell them this

I don't know how well it will work if you tell them this before you get the job

hope that helps you and good luck in your interview

Improve Your Job Interview Skills to Get Your Dream Job

  • Liking movies isn't an asset for employees at Family Video, although you can add that for the sake of humor after answering the question seriously. Why do you really want to work there? Is there some goal you want to achieve? Are you saving up to buy a car?

Perhaps you can just say that you believe working at Family Video will provide you with the kind of experience that will be beneficial to your current, as well as future goals and aspirations.... plus, I like movies.

Job Interview Questions: Opinions on sending thank you letters after a job interview?

Do you think it seems tacky or desperate to send a thank you letter after a job interview? I don't want the employer to think I'm too overeager but I do want them to know what I am very much interested in the position??

Preparing to Answer Job Interview Questions

    Recommended Answer:
It's a common courtesy. You have to thank them no matter what happens. In fact, I don't think it is desperate especially in these economic times. It shows the employer you're caring and alert about the job.

From Social Networking to Preparing for the Face-To-Face Job Interview

    • It's always a good idea to follow up with an email and thank them for their time and express your continued interest in the position.

    • Dont send a letter, but it's better and more modern to send a follow up email after an interview!
