Job Interview Questions: Is it to late to send a thank u card after a job interview?

My interview was Tuesday at noon is it to late to send a thank u email tonight?

Lethal Job Interview Mistakes

Recommended Answer:
No absolutely not, it will be appreciated. You should send it, 2 days ago isn't bad anyway. If it was Saturday and you were saying this, yeah that might be a little too late, but something is always better than nothing. Send it as soon as you can. [:

Assorted Job Interview Techniques

  • Nope. I would send it right away.

An alternative is to send a card in the mail -- sometimes it helps to give the appearance that the reason you haven't thanked them yet has more to do with buying stamps and envelopes than it does with your carelessness or interest in the job.

However, given that the soonest that a card would arrive would probably be on Saturday -- and then it wouldn't be received until Monday at the earliest -- I would just do email instead. The longer they have to wait for it, the longer you are out of their minds.

  • depends --- when did they say they would make a decision? if it was a few days/weeks - SEND A REAL THANK YOU NOTE! email thank you's are not taken very seriously. Send a real written thank you letter - white stationary and not a hallmark card - you may not get the job - BUT you will get remembered - and ultimately someone will remember you with a job offer.

if it was more like we will be making the decision in a day -- send it anyway and it will remind them of your interview - time lines often don't work out the way they were planned... and next time mail it the night or next morning after the interview. Write it in ink, legibly and proof carefully for errors -- that can kill your chances as well.

  • No, it is not too late, 2-3 days is a good turn-around on sending it. If you send it the same day, the recruiter just goes oh, that's nice, I remember him, and sets it aside. Send it a couple of days later, the recruiter goes, hmm, do I remember them? Maybe they do, if they don't, they will probably go back and have another look at your resume/application/interview paperwork. Which never hurts.

  • No, send it.

Depends how 'with it" the interviewing team is.

They should ask about your Christian beliefs.

They should do a criminal record check.

They should ask for info on what you know about the characteristics of 13-20 year olds.

They should make sure you get along with other staff.

They should ask for a reference from a former boss.

    They'll ask questions like

Have you every been put in charge of a team and to complete a assignment; how did you do as a leader what did you do and how where the results

    Walmart's the same way

another one was how have you gone out of your way to help a customer or person. they will interview you twice asking the same questions or some different/ re worded ones. If you pass the first you'll get a second. General job interview knowledge.

    1. Look the person in the eye when you are talking to them and they are talking to you.
    2. Shake there hands and thank them. Be strong but not to much
    3. Smile!!!!!!! not a crazy smile but a nice one
    4. try to be as outgoing as you can.
    5. Dress nice
    6. Try your best to act cool. What I mean is don't act to nervous and be a mix of casual and professional. Interviews are hard theres no way to get around it I've been to a ton of them and every time my heart beats hard but for me it helps to put on a persona. Pretend you already have this job in the bag. There are some youtube videos but the truth is theres no being prepared for it lolThey may ask you to talk about your hobbies if you act less outgoing then they need. If all fails and you don't get the job call them up and ask them why. Most of the time they'll just tell you that you just didnt meet there needs but some times they will tell you why you didn't get it.

I'm interviewing at a local pizzeria (not a chain, just local). I've never had a job interview, so I don't know the first thing about how to start. What should I wear? Is nail polish okay/appropriate? What kinds of questions should I be expecting? What should I do beforehand?

10 Job Interview Tips That Will Help You Make a Good Impression

      Recommended Answer:
Okay first relax. When going to the interview, dress business causal, such as slacks and a blouse or nice skirt and blouse. Fingernail polish should be a natural color, nothing that pops out like a wild colors with funky designs unless it has good taste. Since in restaurant business your heading to might shy away from the designs and artificial nails and simple paint nails a light pink or such. When heading to the interview bring along a resume showing what type of volunteer and activities you have done. They will be pleased you went the extra mile creating one for them and bring it to the interview. For the questions of the interview, just relax and be yourself. Answer them the best you know how and do it honestly.

Tips on Acing the Job Interview - 4 Important Things to Consider Before the Interview

      • I suggest natural nail polish and no fake nails, they will discuss this with you at the interview towards the end. below is a generic answer for job interviews. as for outfit i suggest you try to dress smart that way you will look good and feel good ;)Firstly allow plenty of time to arrive and settle in about 10 Min's before the interview is a good time to arrive, Introduce your self and explain your purpose of visit for example '' good morning / afternoon my name is ********* and i have an interview at *********''. if you don't know who your interviewer is then skip to the time. or you could just say '' good morning / afternoon I have an interview at ****''

        Remember to great your interviewer with a smile and shake their hand if they extend it first ! en route to the interview room they may give you a pep talk and ask some questions such as '' did you find us ok ? '' so even if you had to take 3 buses and got lost 4 times, just say you found everything ok. as if you start moaning it can leave an impression on the interviewer. its sneaky but most companies are during the hiring process. If there are two interviewers then one will be asking questions and one will be observing your body language and your responses. this is another sneaky way of doing it but it helps them to see you from all angles. if there is just one then your fine but don't let your guard down ;) ok now to the tricky part what you will be asked;

each interviewer has their own technique but the general questions are mostly the same.

        a typical interview will have the following structure;

        Icebreakers-

these are to settle you in but don't let your guard down and say something you know you shouldn't, so be vigilant at all times. The types of questions may include hobbies etc but try to relate them to the job your applying for, for example '' I am in the school netball team and this allows me to understand teamwork and the benefit of it to achieve a single goal'' Company

This section is a little more tricky and you have to think about your answers but one major flaw most people make is not to fully understand the question being asked so if your not sure feel free to ask the interview to repeat the question. this type of question may be '' why do you want to work for us ?'' or ''what skills do you think you could bring to the team?'' etc just be honest and try to keep your answers to the point ( you don't need to use fancy words, just tell them the main point) It also helps is you have done your research!

        Experience

this is just where you include qualifications or experience , they may ask what tasks you have done in previous jobs. they will also ask if you have any pre booked holiday with your current employer and how much notice you are required to give to your current employer.

        Situation Questions

ok now these questions are very sneaky most big companies use them but some smaller ones may also. now the trick to getting these questions right is to fully understand them as i mentioned before. for example '' its a busy day and the manager gives you a task to complete, after 30 minutes your assistant manager asks you to do another task, but you have not finished the task set by the manager. what would you do ?'' this is not the question you will be asked but its to give you an idea of situation questions. the best way to answer is to put your self in the situation and think how you would react.

just remember this is assessing how you react in situations so just think on your feet.

ok if you get through all of this they will then start talking about the job and tasks in entails. they will also chat about uniform and pay and also when you will be told when you will receive your results from the interview some may tell you on the day or ring you or send you a letter this process can take anything from a few hours for a phone call to 14 days dependent on the number of applicants.

then when the interview is over be sure to shake the hand of your interviewer, tell them how lovely it was to meet them and thank them for taking the time to see you. ( its cheesy but it can make a big difference ;) ) I hope this information is a help to you
