10 Tips For The Perfect Job Interview

Recommended Answer:
You relax and answer with short answers, calmly, and honestly. The main things are that you are dependable, on time, clean, friendly, and a fast learner.

McD's needs people who will easily pick up using their registers and keeping the food moving as they want a very short service time.

Dress neatly for the interview (NO JEANS) and be on time. You'll be fine. Good Luck.

McD's was my teens first job, which she kept for a year and a half (good for a teen) and we enjoyed the discount food. Kinda miss my half price Southwest Chicken Salads.

Job Interview Questions: I have job interview at justice (clothing store)?

I'm 16 years old and this will be my first job interview. What kind of questions can I expect (especially for this store)? How should I answer them? Also, will I need to bring anything with me? I don't have any references (since this will be my first job if hired) so will that be a problem?

BTW, Justice is a clothing store for tween girls if anyone didn't know.

Job Interview Advice Everyone Can Use

Recommended Answer:
What you need to do is be yourself. Most of the questions will be like "can you neatly fold clothes" or "can you run a cash register" probably easy stuff, or probably the toughest will be "can you clean out the dressing rooms, and put the clothes in the correct spot?" good luck.

Job Interviews - How to Quickly and Easily Succeed at Them

  • I'm actually a current Assistant Manager at Justice and have been for two years now :)

DO NOT look "sexy", look cute, appropriate and fashionable. Wear accessories.
The questions that the store manager will most likely ask you are going to be things like
    - Tell me about a conflict you had and how you solved it
    - How do you manage your social life with school/work
We really don't ask anything out of the ordinary, they're just going to be looking to see if you're outgoing and can easily talk to the girls and sale to their moms while also doing certain tasks that they assign to you.
When I give interviews for "brand reps" I usually have them pick out an outfit and have them try to sell it to me..if they have you do this make sure to pick out shoes, hair accessories, and a necklace to go with your outfit.

Justice usually has no problem with hiring girls without any work experience as long as your "bubbly". But it would help if you could put a neighbor, teacher, or coach of some sort.

Don't stress to much about it and good luck!

  • just look sexy and expect questions like why you want to work there and what you can contribute.
Just say you love retail & you want to contribute to the stores success, job interviews are basically a merry go round of bull $hit, so smile tell them what they want to hear.

Job Interview Questions: How should i have my hair for a job interview?

The Ten Secrets For a Great Job Interview

Recommended Answer:
No matter what you decide to do with your hair, you want to make sure it looks neat and clean in any job interview. Make sure it is nicely combed and possibly even pulled back for the interview, even if you normally wouldn't be wearing your hair like that. No matter what kinda job it is always dress a level above what you would for the actual job in the interview. Remember not to fidget, eye contact, and a firm handshake. I used to interview young people quite often when I was a manager at a DQ, and always appreciated the ones who sat up straight and generally had good manners, good luck.

Dressing For a Job Interview in Summer

  • I suggest not having it any longer than this style:
    e.imagehost.org/0487/Clean_Cut_Lo…
I realize the guy in the photo above does not have really thick hair. I am only using the photo to indicate length. Shorter would be better for almost any type of job interview:
    regular layer cut:
    f.imagehost.org/0796/tcchristophe…
There are few jobs that require hair shorter than this:
    regular taper cut:
    i.imagehost.org/0993/tapercutlaye…
    Good Luck!

  • You can keep it sort of long from the bottom, like almost to your shoulders, maybe. And then for the top layers, get those cut shorter. Just tell the people you want layers (but not like a mullet haha) or you can do sort of a bowl cut like the beatles :) just make sure its not too shabby looking and you should be fine! after all the interview isnt just about your hair, they base it more on your personality and traits! ^_^ hope it goes well

  • Definitely get it trimmed up, no pictures sorry. Go to stylist and ask they are much better equipped to help fully in your needs.

  • I don't have a picture. But you could put some gel in your hair to keep it in place, then pull it back into a pony tail.

  • i would cut it or wear it in a very professional low pony tail..hope i helped..=) also u could go into a salon and ask their advice on professional long hair stlyes

  • neat, clean, pulled back in ponytail is acceptable to most

Job Interview Questions: Is a polka dot dress appropriate to wear on a job interview?

It's black, knee length with medium-sized white polka dots...not too busy. And people tell me how much they like it on me. I could put an ivory jacket over it also.

I've gained weight recently and nothing else seems to fit. But I've seen people wear strapless maxi dresses on job interviews and look crazy! I don't want to look like that.

Top Interview Questions - What the Job Interviewer is Looking For

    • If you have a a plain white cardigan, that may look better. Of course it all depends on the job you're interviewing for. I just think that too much black is, well, too much. However, some jobs require you to wear all/mostly black, like Macy's.

I do not think that a few white dots are going to impact your interview, your work performance, or the performances of the employees. If you're really concerned, bring a spare change of clothes to the interview and if they really feel threatened ask if you could change really quickly. I think that that would show that you are dedicated to the job. By the way, it sounds like a C U T E dress! :D

    • funny this

I was going to wear mine today
but i decided against it n the end
mine is black with the polka dot detail just on the bust area

the jacket idea might be a better option
      try a black one

    • I don't think its a bad choice. Make sure whatever you pair the dress with is neutral, so there isnt too much going on. Also wear appropriate shoes, keep the heel short. Theres nothing wrong with showing some taste =)

    • POLKA DOTS? NOOOOO!!!! (hehehe) jk

With the jacket, it will look just fine.

    • theyre interviewing you, not your dress so just wear it

    • I think it would look ok. :)

Job Interview Questions: I have a job interview for a night shift, but I cant do it since college starts on the 20th. What should I do?

I have a job interview with Wal-Mart for a night shift from 10pm to 7am. The thing is that college is starting on the 20th for me and I have classes from 8am-11am. That late shift is going to surely kill me.

Should I call in and ask them if they're offering an earlier position? Should I just cancel the job interview? What should I do? :(

Job Interview Tip Number 1 is Preparation

    Recommended Answer:
I would definitely call them and explain that you will be going to classes and that you have just found that the hours will clash with the position you are going to interview for. Offer them your apology that you will not be available for that night shift (it's probably a hard one to find reliable people for) and then ask if they have any other shifts open for that kind of work. Whatever happens, be polite and let them know that if they have something coming up that would work with your college hours, you'd appreciate a call and another chance to interview with them.

Your education is important, and they will appreciate your advance notice of not being able to work the night shift.

    Good luck!

    Eliminate Job Interview Anxiety

    • Don't hesitate to call them and try to find solution together with their HR representative. You should never miss a job opportunity! But don't forget about education!

    • Are your classes everyday? Is it full time or part time? Walmart is usually willing to work with your hours since they rarely hire full time.

Job Interview Questions: How long should I wait for a response after job interview?

I just flew to San Diego where I had a job interview. I met ten people. It was basically a first and second round of interviews roled into one. I was told that they would like to interview one or two more candidates and it could take time because of the hiring manager's busy schedule. I've already sent an email and thank you note expressing my interest in the job. How much time should I give the hiring manager (i.e. 3 weeks) before I follow up again?

Pull your hair back smooth and neat, and I don't think you will have a problem. If they have uniform of some sort, they will hook you up, otherwise that will do the job nicely. Good luck!! :)

    • Smart, professional looking clothes which you know will be comfortable wearing. Wear dark blue or black trousers with a nice blouse, long or short sleeve. Shoes need to be comfortable and at low heal would be ideal.
