Job Interview Questions: What should you wear to a job interview?

For Yogurtland, is jeans and a button up shirt good enough?

Best Answers to the Trickiest Job Interview Questions

    Recommended Answer:
You're going for an interview at Yogurtland, not NASA. Yes, I think that's enough. But look presentable and clean.

Job Interviews - How to Ace a Telephone Job Interview

    • What you wear to an interview is important because your clothes give your employers an impression of their future employee. For a place as casual as Yogurtland, I suppose jeans and a button up shirt is good enough, a suit would be too much and t-shirt and shorts would be too casual.

Before you even think about going on an interview, make sure you have appropriate interview attire and everything fits correctly.
      - Get your clothes ready the night before, so you don't have to spend time getting them ready on the day of the interview.
      - If your clothes are dry clean only, take them to the cleaners after an interview, so they are ready for next time.
      - Polish your shoes.
      - Bring a breath mint and use it before you enter the building.

    • I've never been to a yogurt land, but it sounds cool. I would not recommend wearing jeans for your initial interview. Khakis with the button up shirt should be good though. No matter how casual the work environment, dress to impress for the interview, it gives a good first impression, showing that you care and you are taking the job seriously. Good Luck on getting the job!!!

    • Yesh that good enough to keep the Death Eater's attention away from you, fellow wizard!
I'ld wear my cloak of invisibility, to keeo the nargle away from me, and so Voldymort can't see me applying for another job other than serving him as a Death Eater

    • dress pants, dress shoes, button up **** tucked in with a belt, and a tie is optional
NEVER where jeans to a job interview even if it's not a very classy job

    • i would wear a shirt and tie. but that is just me.

    • Yes, that sounds appropriate enough and Goodluck on the job interview :)

    • I guess looking respectable gives you a great chance. No matter what job really.

    • I think for yogurt land it sounds appropriate if clean and neat.

    • Wear slacks and a somewhat formal shirt. you got to look presentable for any kind of job.

    • WEAR NOTHING.

    • A play boy mansion bunny outfit.

    • wear a banana suit

    • Always dress to impress Mate.

    • Pants and a button up shirt. Dressy shoes.
      :)

    • a pair of slacks, a dress shirt and leather shoes

    • Yea sure, that looks good. :)

    • Not jeans. Wear some dress pants.

    • birthday suit

    • mini skirt and a strapless bra.

    • clothes with brands on them work well.

    • suit

    • use shoes not slipper

    • I wear my going out collar.

Job Interview Questions: I just got a job interview but can't remember if she said 11 or 11:30. what should I do?

Just woke up and got a call for a job interview but can't remember if she said 11 or 11:30. I don' t want to look stupid showing up too early.

Make Your Resume and Amazing Cover Letter Unpredictable - Land a Job Interview Today!

      Recommended Answer:
try calling back, if it wouldn't seem too stupid, just pretend you are "confirming", say something like, "I am confirming the interview in (wherever it is) on the date (whatever it is) and hopefully they will tell you what time. If you don't have the guts for that, it is better to be early than late.

Job Interview Skills - What You Must Have to Land the Job

      • Be early. You will appear enthusiastic and organized by the employeer.. and they will never know that you didnt know what time to come in! ;)
Good luck with the interview! =)

      • go at 11 just in case. it's better safe than sorry. if you come late on your job interview, that's not too great and they might not want to hire you because you are not on time. bring something to keep you company if you are early. good luck!

      • call the manager and say someone stole your notebook, cell phone, or whatever and you need to confirm whether it's 11 or 11:30

      • Show up at 10:30 with a book.
Don't worry about looking stupid. Bring an intellectual book like maybe something by Dostoevsky or something. It's better to be early and relaxed.

      • Its ok to be early i wouldnt care if i looked stupid im myself and if someone was early i would never care its early or late pick 1

      • Follow the method "when you're on time you're late. when you're early, you're on time"
        they love that lol!

      • Better early than late.....you could always call to "confirm".

        Best of luck!

      • It's better to early than late. Try and reach by 10:45.

Job Interview Questions: Going on a job interview and I have a way shallow question - Poll?

Due to being unemployed I have not been able to keep up with my hair color. I have a stellar job interview this week, good navy dress suit, nice shoes, classy jewlery, perfect perfume ... but I have a bit of gray in my hair ... I kinda like it ... but I am not sure if I should color it to cover the gray??? What's going to get me the job ... leave it or color it?

      Job Interview Skills

      Recommended Answer:
I would say leave the gray, it shows experience. It also shows that you're comfortable enough in your own skin to let the gray grow in, its a sign of self confidence. :-)

Job Interview Techniques - 3 Super Tips When Preparing For A Job Interview

      • Honestly you should color it. Employers look at everything when your being interviewed not just your resume. And it maybe shallow but they are looking at your appearance as well. You are up against a lot of people especially with this job market. So you don't want to come across as needing this job as much as you might. Now is the time that they can be picky because there are so many possible employees to chose from. To them it may not make a difference but why risk it coming down to something that small and you not getting the job just because they think your appearance is lacking. If you can't afford to get it professionally done get a box color and do your whole head one color. At least you will look presentable until you get your first paycheck and can afford to get it they way you want. Good Luck

      • Your best bet is to appear as professional as possible. For a more polished look I would say color it but if they don't give you the job because a few gray hairs or heck even a head full of gray then that job was not for you.

      • That's WWWAAAYYYYY shallow. It doesn't matter. You're either qualified or not.

Job Interview Questions: Is this acceptable to wear at a job interview?

I have to dress up tomorrow like im going to a job interview
      would skinny/flare jeans be acceptable?
I'm going to wear flare jeans(or, if acceptable, skinny ones) with wedge heels, a black tack top and a 3/4 sleeve jacket on top
should I just screw the pants and go with a skirt?

Know How Important the Job Interview Questions Are

      Recommended Answer:
I would wear nice black pants with a nice blouse not a tank top. If you want to wear a skirt make sure it's not a short one. I would wear a suit jacket. Wear heels(not the type for clubbing though). Jeans are a definate no-no.

Job Interview Answers That Lead to Success

      • If you are applying for a proffessional job blue jeans are not acceptable regardless of style. Wear suit pants or a skirt it would leave a much more proffessional impression on the inteviewer.

I mean if you are interviewing for a casual type job than it may be acceptable and better to not overdress, but otherwise nix the jeans and wear something more appropriate for a professional work environment.

      • No. Wear a leather miniskirt that your butt cheeks don't have a chance staying in. Pair that with knee length black, snakeskin boots. Depending on your breast size, wear a bra that is basically all padding. Girlfriend, you want those bosoms to literally suffocate whoever is interviewing you. This will disable oxygen to flow into his/her brain, therefore increasing your chances of getting the job. I would do a sexy comb over. Good luck toots :)

      • Yeah. No jeans.

What you wear on your interview says alot about you to the interviewer.

        Wear Casual-buisness clothing.

A skirt would be good. Yeah, wear the skirt.

Good luck!! What's the job btw?

      • Depends, if you are going for a job at "whole foods" or "vitamin cottage", then probaly ok for the jeans. If you are trying to work in an office, wear the skirt.

      • Don't wear jeans to an interview. I don't care what kind of jeans they are. I'd tell that person to just go home if they showed up at my place of business like that looking for a job.

      • Never wear jeans to an interview. You should dress business-casual. Think grey or black slacks with small heels or flats and a dressy or business top.

      • No jeans. Wear either black dress pants or a nice skirt ;)

Job Interview Questions: Would you feel safe if this happened at a job interview?

I had a job interview at a restaurant and in the middle of our interview the cook came in and held a knife to the throat of the manager. Then they both laughed, the cook threw the knife at the floor and walked away. The manager then proceeded to tell me he'd be in touch.

Do you think I got the job cause I really need the money?

Job Interview Questions: What should I wear to a job interview?

I've never been to a job interview, I know the whole idea is to make a good first impression but I have no idea what I should be wearing.
I'm 18 and it's a part-time job at small cafe in town, so obviously I shouldn't dress up.
What would you recommend I wear? Colours/style?
      Thank you.

      • Ha ha Natasha ha ha.......
You said "........, so obviously I shouldn't dress up."

        Now that is funnyyyyy.Okay seriously:

Since it's a part time cafe, go in any casual dress without being too flashy or gaudy. Let your simplicity show...

        Then wear your best smile.

Possibly they'll give you a uniform to wear later....so your dress for the interview won't really matter.

      • Don't look hot ! Go for elegant and smart, wear black, white and grey. Soft make up, if you want to go for a shirt, make sure it's not too short, but don't worry about which type of clothes you should wear, as long as it looks nice. Best outfit is black trousers and whit top, good luck !

      • Business casual is probably fine. Usually black or dark pants and a nice shirt will do - don't go sleeveless - if it's warm, find a nice short sleeve shirt. I would recommend a solid colors - no wild patterns.

      • wear casual , but not too much , and use medum colors (i mean don't wear pink) , and look elegant, and if the person who you will talk with is a man , you should look a bit hot ;)

      • Go naked

Thank You For The Job Interview - Are You Sending a Follow Up Letter?

      • I've actually done it before myself.

Most larger hotels or motels will have either coffee shops or bars. And the hotels don't mind that you visit there to buy something to eat or drink. Just tell the inverviewee something like, "I will meet you at 6PM at the Tropicana Bar at the Holiday Inn in Springfield. But be sure to describe what you will be wearing and exactly where you will be (usually seated in the lobby area right outside of the bar itself).

Just about every hotel in a metropolitan area will have some sort of eating or drinking place on the first floor near the lobby. I've even been in some Comfort Inns that had pizza parlours and sandwich shops on the first floor with plenty of meeting space.

But..the best way to go is someplace high end. Even though you are sort of borrowing space, it just seems more impressive when you can meet someone at the luxury bar at the nearby Hilton.

      • If you are screening, do the first interview via telephone.

If you are doing the final interview, then a coffee shop where there is space and you could be relatively anonymous and interview over coffee or tea.

I've seen contracts finalized in the coffee or donut shop.

Come to think of it, I have participated in a job interview in a coffee shop near an office where I worked. I had applied for a job in another dept. and the interviewer traveled from his work site located across town. NO. That cheap boss did not offer to buy anything. Maybe after he finished the interviews he bought himself and his secretary something to eat. (I didn't get the job but I had another reason for applying)

      • You are better to interview them near their working place, so they will get a feeling of touch about this job, and understand more for your expected working environment. Any coffee shop will be a nice place, if you offer the position on sale marketing, marketing executive usually meets his client within coffee shop.

      • Most places where a person interviewing doesn't have an office hold the interviews in a relatively quiet area with chairs and a table, often break rooms or the like.
