The Top 3 Job Interview Questions Asked To College Students -- And Exactly How To Answer Them!

Recommended Answer:
Generally speaking it's best to err on the side of conservative, nothing too bright or sparkly. Try a clear coat or a light nude. It really depends on the industry you are going into though. Fashion/art environments will welcome shows of personality in your style, but business/government types expect a more conservative overall appearance. Look into the company you are interested in. Figure out how the successful people in the organization dress and style themselves and use them as your model to create your own personal look.

Job Interview Questions: When to mention an upcoming vacation in a job interview?

If I have a job interview sometime this month and my family and I are planning on taking short vacation sometime in July or August, when would I mention that? Towards the end when they ask me if I have any questions?

Job Interviews - What You Don't Do Can HELP You!

Recommended Answer:
The proper time to bring up travel plans is after you have a job offer. You can then negotiate time off as part of the package. It may be important to the company that you're able to work on those particular days, and if you have to give up the vacation, you might be able to negotiate more favorable terms in other pieces of your employment package (more days off, higher salary, etc.).

Don't bring up your travel plans until after your offer. If it is a competitive position, it may be the one thing that puts another candidate ahead of you.

Good luck!

The Top Ten Mistakes Made in Job Interviews and How to Avoid Them

    Recommended Answer:
10 minutes at most. Too early might cause your potential employer to have to deal with you before they are ready, leading to some initial frustration.

Be yourself. It is important for both you and your employer to recognize a good match or not. By being yourself, your potential employer will hopefully see who you are. This is a combination your skills, your personality, and your character. With this approach, if you don't get the job it is probably for the best. Likewise, if you get the job you are then likely the best match. Nervous is Ok.

    Job Interview Basics

    • Aim to be there 10 minutes early.

If there is a chance you will get held up on the way, leave extra time and if you get there more than 10 minutes early wait outside until 10 mins before interviw time.

To build up your confidence, try telling yourself this is just a practice interview,

Some people suggest you imagine the interwiewer is naked, but that usually just makes you look pervy and odd.

Job Interview Advice: What Is The Best Time Slot for a Job Interview?

    Recommended Answer:
In the past, when applying to a sales associate position I've always gone with: 1) non-jeans (usually a pair of black pants) and 2) depending on the weather a nice button down or sweater and light jewelry. Take a look at what other associates are wearing and try to match the style. If they're dressing more trendy, feel free to get more creative. If they're much more conservative, then lean towards being more conservative. And when in doubt, overdress a little (but a suit would probably be overkill).

Critical Mistakes To Avoid at Job Interview

    • People generally advise you to dress up at least two levels higher than the current job for which you are appearing. It will create a good first impression. Never wear blue jeans while attending a job interview. The jeans may be expensive, but jeans are immediately frowned upon at interviews. Casual job interview attire is not advisable if you are serious in getting the job. The general rule is to opt for conservative shades and designs. Bright checked shirts, loud colored blouses, and odd designed dresses are not to be worn at all.

    • Nice dress pants, a nice shirt -- buttondown or otherwise, just make sure it's a nice shirt -- heels. For a lot of interviews, I would suggest a dress, but I felt like that wouldn't be the right fit for this job interview.

    • I would wear one of those executive suits type things that girls wear. Im not completely sure what they are called, but they are cute and professional. Try with a black shoe and a little hand bag.

    • a blouse and a high waisted skirt that will go over it with high heels
make it simple not too over the top
make sure the colours match too
      hope its good?!

    • Be sure to wear pantyhose if you want to get the job.

    • wear classy black top and pants. don't come in jeans of a tshirt. wear black high heels with it too.

    • Smart/Casual. Black trousers, a nice black top etc.

    • A pencil skirt black tights and a button down blouse. Oh yeah and a blazer
