Job Interview Questions: What would be ideas on verbalizing how being trilingual has been a benefit for job interview?

Other than I can communicate in three different languages.

The Essential Job Interview Checklist

Recommended Answer:
Your talent has great value in some jobs and is absolutely useless in other jobs.

You need to choose the job - and the employer - and establish that the company you want to work with indeed has customers or clients who speak these specific languages - otherwise it is NOT really that useful; merely an indication that you are talented in languages which may have nothing whatsoever to do with the job.

Think travel, think international call centres, think airport work, this community work where new immigrants or NES people are regularly seen.

Good luck

Job Interview Questions: For a job interview; what's a good answer to this question....?

"something interesting about me (something someone else might find interesting about me)"

What type of general things do you think would be a good way to answer this?

What do you think they're looking for?

The job interview is at Apple.

A friend of mine has an interview there this week and from past experience he knows they ask this question, but he really doesn't know how other people perceive this kinda question.

    All help would be fantastic!

    Will award points etc!

I know this is a really general and open question but I would just like to see what people think about it.

    Thanks.

Illegal Job Interview Questions and How to Handle Them

    Recommended Answer:
In job interviews, after a while, all the applicants start sounding the same. What a question like this is looking to achieve for the interviewer is two things:

    1. Giving a chance for you to stand out from the pack.
    2. Are you taking the job just to make a paycheck until you can get into something else?

If say you are a screen writer or game designer and it says to them that you need work until an opportunity in your career of choice opens up and all the time and energy the company has invested in you is going to be wasted because you are not interest in a future career with them.

The "interesting" thing they're looking to hear, for example, is there an extensive hobby that you love? Do you have plans for travel? Is there something that you've always wanted to achieve, like climb Mount Everest or explore the castles of Scotland? These are all things that you'd need steady work to help materialize in your life. It also shows that you have far reaching goals and will be a dedicated yet well rounded employee that is vested in doing well.

    You also want to think of 3-5 questions to ask the interviewer before you show up to the interview. Something along the lines of;

    1. Does company promote from within?
    2. Does company offer mentor or educational programs for people looking to get into management?
    3. What advice can you give, should I get the position, that will help my transition to the team be a seamless as possible?
    4. What other benefits or perks, besides the ones discussed do you think I should know about?
    5. Are ther any plans of expansion and does the company plan to offer relocation opportunities and assistance.

These questions show confidence, ambition and longevity. It also shows that you are interested in more than just, "show me the money". These are just examples of some questions that would impress an interviewer if they don't suit you, write out some questions that are pertinent to you and your ambitions and what you plan on achieving from your employment there.

You should also take notes during the interview and be prepared to ask a question from your notes. It shows that you were paying attention.

At the end of the day, relax, put your best foot forward and remember, as much as they are looking you over, you need to be checking them out as well. If you don't think this comapny is going to be in line with your ambitions and future plans, would it be fair to them or yourself to take the job and then find yourself unhappy after a short period of time and start looking again? Job hopping never looks good on resume.

Get on the internet and learn as much as you can about Hungry Jacks. Also, if possible, I would take time to physically check on the facility to learn as much as possible, so during our meeting, I can answer or possibly even bring up subject matter that shows my interest in the company. I also like to show that my past experiences are relevant to what I am applying for.

It also helps to ensure that your resume and application are completely filled out, do not leave blanks, have two copies of a resume just in case they do not have your original, and always be honest, if you truly do not know an answer.

Oh and by the way, never talk negatively about your past bosses or employers.

Job Interview Questions: What are appropriate clothes for a job interview?

I got an interview for a job as a receptionist at a doctor's office. I haven't done an interview in a long time and I have no clue what to wear. I know that jeans are out of the question, but the interview is tomorrow and I don't have time for clothes shopping....

Questions to Ask During a Job Interview - Make Sure You Cover These!

        Recommended Answer:
People generally advise you to dress up at least two levels higher than the current job for which you are appearing. It will create a good first impression. Women should wear only minimal and simple jewelry. Women candidates should opt for only moderate heeled shoes.
The general rule is to opt for conservative shades and designs. Bright checked shirts, loud colored blouses, and odd designed dresses are not to be worn at all.
You have to ensure that the set of dress you have decided to wear for your interview is sparklingly fresh and without any crease marks whatsoever. Also ensure that the shirt is buttoned up fully when attending the interview.

Know How to Answer Job Interview Questions Regarding Your Weaknesses

        • It's recommended that you dress 1 step up from your employer in an interview:
If you expect him to be in jeans, then you wear pants/skirt.
If you expect him to be smart, wear a jacket.. etc

If you have been to that business before, do you remember what he wore on a daily basis? otherwise think of a similar business.

One thing to remember is not to be too smart or too casual...and the most important thing is that you should feel comfortable (That trumps your wardrobe)

          Good Luck

Job Interview Questions: How long should I wait before calling back after a job interview?

I had a group job interview at Kohl's on thursday August 12. After the interview they dismissed everyone except me and told me they liked me a lot and gave me more paperwork. On monday August 16 they called both references on my application. It is Wednesday and I have not been contacted yet. When should I call and inquire as to the status of my application? Also, they are hiring many people for a new store opening; would this prolong their response?

Thank you, have a great day.
