Job Interview Tips - Negative Attributes That Will Stop You Getting a Job Offer

  • They will probably ask: Why do you want to work here? What are your weaknesses, and strengths? Hospitals are "HUGE" in Teamwork. I've worked in a hospital for about 15 years as a Certified Pharmacy Tech. I loved every minute of it. Hospitals usually have great benefits. DO NOT ask about the wages. That is a huge no no at an interview. At any interview that is. They also want you to have an eye for detail. Good luck at your interview.

EDIT: Don't worry about being nervous. Employers know that people can get nervous at interviews. :-)

  • What type of job at a hospital is it. My Ex-wife is a nurse and if you are going to be in the Medical feild I would suggest not showing your nervousness....

Look them in the eye, be honest, tell them what you will bring to the team. Give them strengths and ayt least one weakness that you are improving on.

Job Interview Questions: Is this okay to wear to a job interview at a clothing store?

I have an interview at Justice, a tween clothing story, and I was wondering if a strapless floral dress would be appropriate. It's black and comes down to the knees; I want to wear a cardigan and flats with it as well, and it doesn't show any cleavage.

    Would this be suitable?

I think so. As long as you look professional and your chest isn't hanging out it should be alright. The cardigan on top is a good measure, too. Good luck on your interview!

Job Interviews: Question to Not Ask

    • It's a bit professional but very stylish excpessialy for justice you'll fit in like if you wear a suit it is to professional and if it's like a mini skirt and a tank top then that's bad but what you are wearing is fine good luck on the job!!

    • Strapless???? NO. Even with a cardi. Flats are fine.

Job Interview Questions: I have a job interview tomorrow?

I have a problem...I have a job interview tomorrow and I am horrible at interviews! I always blank out and get really really nervous. I need help. Also I am wearing a long black skirt with a white button down tucked in and a pair of white heels. Does that sound ok? Can someone give me some tips on what to say or how to act?

    Thank you!

5 Tips For a Successful Job Interview

    Recommended Answer:
Don't worry about your clothes - just try to stay business casual and wear what makes you feel good.

    Other advice:

    1) Practice your answers. If you blank out, practice, practice, practice. Know that job description and how you would be a perfect fit. Get at least 3 examples of your skill set - using figures is highly recommended (i.e. "I saved my current company $25K by implementing a new attendance policy").

    2) Prepare at least 3 questions to ask. They can be general, but also keep your ears open to adjust the questions for the interviewer.

    3) Bring copies of your cover letter, resume and a notepad/pen. Take notes - at the very least you'll be able to follow-up with the company.

    4) Tell yourself why you are perfect for this job - and be clear. If you can tell yourself, you can tell an interviewer.

    5) When you start to get nervous, focus on your skills. Pretend you aren't there for a job. Pretend you're there to just sell your skills. Sometimes that can take some pressure off if you don't have that added boulder hanging over your head.

    6) Most important - don't over-analyze everything. You're going to go home after the interview and regret saying this or not saying that. Do yourself a favor and don't over think it. If you forgot to say something or need to clarify an answer, do so in a thank-you letter.

    7) Remember that you can have the best interview and still not get the job. It all depends on who is applying and what the company is needing in an employee. I was unemployed last year and went on 24 interviews before landing my job. I gave 24 stellar interviews, and 23 of them just weren't looking for me.

The Job Interview Technique That Will Blow Away the Competition

    Recommended Answer:
I wouldn't think you would need the actual documents- as long you do indeed have copies of whatever they need then you should be fine, Anyway i'm sure they would be sympathetic if you explain the stolen wallet

Preparation is the Best Job Interview Tip

    • GO The school & get a notarized letter dated on Monday with all the rest of documents & that should work.It all depend also on the person who will be attending to you so just go in with your best foot forward dress nice speak well be brit and intelligent DON'T for get DRESS WELL mean looking good, If you are a He FOR GOODNESS SAKE wear your damn choruses how it is supposed to be wormed & do not have your crouch drawing on the grown because if a boy comes in

so like I say go & get that notarized document with the others that you have & take them with you.

Job Interview Questions: Job interview...second one...?

I had a job interview on Tuesday, and it lasted approximately 5 minutes and at the end she told me that she was "setting up another interview with her assistant" and made it a Sunday, which is odd, because it's a weekend. Do you think this is a good or bad sign? During the interview she told me what exactly I would be doing, I saw her watch my reaction as she said it would be a "wet" job because it is an assistant dog groomer, and she also said it would be a guarunteed 20 hours a week or more, would she have told me this if they weren't almost sure I was the person for the job.

    • a job interview on sunday is odd, but she may be too busy conducting regular biz on other days. as far as telling you what the job is, she was basically giving you the opportunity to turn it down. a second interview is a good sign coz she's prolly weeding out possibilities and was trying to get a lot of that done in one day, which would explain the brief interview.

    • a second inteview it a good sign although about half the interview I have done in my life (for jobs i didnt get) they told me the exact job I would be doing just to be sure I wanted it so they didnt go any farther for no need... a couple times jobs actually even asked me my size for uniform...and never even got a call back..
sunday interview is odd..but if its a small/local place maybe its just convient for them

Job Interview Questions: What are appropriate clothes for a job interview?

I got an interview for a job as a receptionist at a doctor's office. I haven't done an interview in a long time and I have no clue what to wear. I know that jeans are out of the question, but the interview is tomorrow and I don't have time for clothes shopping....

Questions to Ask During a Job Interview - Make Sure You Cover These!

    Recommended Answer:
People generally advise you to dress up at least two levels higher than the current job for which you are appearing. It will create a good first impression. Women should wear only minimal and simple jewelry. Women candidates should opt for only moderate heeled shoes.
The general rule is to opt for conservative shades and designs. Bright checked shirts, loud colored blouses, and odd designed dresses are not to be worn at all.
You have to ensure that the set of dress you have decided to wear for your interview is sparklingly fresh and without any crease marks whatsoever. Also ensure that the shirt is buttoned up fully when attending the interview.

Know How to Answer Job Interview Questions Regarding Your Weaknesses

    • It's recommended that you dress 1 step up from your employer in an interview:
If you expect him to be in jeans, then you wear pants/skirt.
If you expect him to be smart, wear a jacket.. etc

If you have been to that business before, do you remember what he wore on a daily basis? otherwise think of a similar business.

One thing to remember is not to be too smart or too casual...and the most important thing is that you should feel comfortable (That trumps your wardrobe)

      Good Luck

Job Interview Questions: How TO Stay Calm During A Job Interview?

So I decided to get a second job. The problem is that I get extremely nervous and unfortunately, I start to blush at job interviews. This has been happening for a while now. The last interview went horrible! I felt myself blushing and couldn't think clearly. Of course, I didn't get the job. Its been a year and have been avoiding interviews. I am usually very confident but for some strange reason, I blush at situations where all the attention is on me. Think it has to do with a lot of insecurity issues. Any advise or tips. Thanks in advance! =)

Why Should I Hire You? Job Interview Question and Answers

    Recommended Answer:
Don't be afraid to pause before and during giving answers to questions to give yourself time to think and to breath, you don't have to rush an answer. This should help to keep you calm, it did for me :)

And try not to feel insecure, I know it can feel like they're judging you but they just want to see if you'd 'fit' into their workplace. They're not criticising you.

It doesn't matter if you blush, all candidates are nervous this is to be expected. It's not the way you look, it's down to what you say. Try and think confidently and portray confidence to them.

Job Interview Questions: How long should I wait before calling back after a job interview?

I had a group job interview at Kohl's on thursday August 12. After the interview they dismissed everyone except me and told me they liked me a lot and gave me more paperwork. On monday August 16 they called both references on my application. It is Wednesday and I have not been contacted yet. When should I call and inquire as to the status of my application? Also, they are hiring many people for a new store opening; would this prolong their response?

Thank you, have a great day.
