Job Interview Questions: Is this okay to wear to a job interview at a clothing store?

I have an interview at Justice, a tween clothing story, and I was wondering if a strapless floral dress would be appropriate. It's black and comes down to the knees; I want to wear a cardigan and flats with it as well, and it doesn't show any cleavage.

Would this be suitable?

The 11 Cardinal Mistakes of Job Interviews

Recommended Answer:
I think so. As long as you look professional and your chest isn't hanging out it should be alright. The cardigan on top is a good measure, too. Good luck on your interview!

Job Interviews: Question to Not Ask

  • It's a bit professional but very stylish excpessialy for justice you'll fit in like if you wear a suit it is to professional and if it's like a mini skirt and a tank top then that's bad but what you are wearing is fine good luck on the job!!

  • Strapless???? NO. Even with a cardi. Flats are fine.

NO JEANS! Just like a black skirt or a any plain skirt that's not too short, and a nice shirt. Nothing too low, nothing too revealing. That's what I would wear. A cardigan's good too. Maybe flats or sandals? I have an interview tomorrow too. Good luck!

Job Interview Questions: I have a job interview tomorrow?

I have a problem...I have a job interview tomorrow and I am horrible at interviews! I always blank out and get really really nervous. I need help. Also I am wearing a long black skirt with a white button down tucked in and a pair of white heels. Does that sound ok? Can someone give me some tips on what to say or how to act?

Thank you!

5 Tips For a Successful Job Interview

Recommended Answer:
Don't worry about your clothes - just try to stay business casual and wear what makes you feel good.

Other advice:

1) Practice your answers. If you blank out, practice, practice, practice. Know that job description and how you would be a perfect fit. Get at least 3 examples of your skill set - using figures is highly recommended (i.e. "I saved my current company $25K by implementing a new attendance policy").

2) Prepare at least 3 questions to ask. They can be general, but also keep your ears open to adjust the questions for the interviewer.

3) Bring copies of your cover letter, resume and a notepad/pen. Take notes - at the very least you'll be able to follow-up with the company.

4) Tell yourself why you are perfect for this job - and be clear. If you can tell yourself, you can tell an interviewer.

5) When you start to get nervous, focus on your skills. Pretend you aren't there for a job. Pretend you're there to just sell your skills. Sometimes that can take some pressure off if you don't have that added boulder hanging over your head.

6) Most important - don't over-analyze everything. You're going to go home after the interview and regret saying this or not saying that. Do yourself a favor and don't over think it. If you forgot to say something or need to clarify an answer, do so in a thank-you letter.

7) Remember that you can have the best interview and still not get the job. It all depends on who is applying and what the company is needing in an employee. I was unemployed last year and went on 24 interviews before landing my job. I gave 24 stellar interviews, and 23 of them just weren't looking for me.

Job Interview Questions: I left my last job badly how do I say this in a job interview?

I left my job badly I quit and then they sent me to a meeting for Gross misconduct but nothing happened or came of it. I have a job interview next week. I don't know what to do if the interviewer asked me why I left my job. Should I be honest, obviously Im not getting a reference of them but is it better to be honest or say that Ive learned from my mistakes. Help!

The Importance of the Job Interview in Canada

Recommended Answer:
If you quit, you can say "I quit because ..."
Then give a reason; eg I was unhappy with the working conditions, the management style was unproductive, there was no future in the company, etc. depending on what fits in that situation, but make sure it is not something that the new company has. Keep the answer short.
Do not mention the gross misconduct.

  • Be honest. But don't give details.

Job Interview Questions: Can someone give me some good job interview tips?

I have a job interview friday to work as a cashier at panda express.. and im kinda shy and not that outgoing.. and i was hopeing i could get some good tips on things i could say so that i could get the job... thankx in advance!:)

Things to Do in a Job Interview

Recommended Answer:
Well... in this type of position you have to be out going and not shy of speaking up or over a mic...some places do that. If you want the job you have to show an interest of what you are applying for and in this case a cashier needs to know basic communication skills dealing with people that have different attitudes, and knowing you are there to help make things run smoothly. I would suggest when you talk to the person conducting the interview limit your answers to short but concise responses, and try not to use the word (um) in between your words. Keep eye contact, and strongly imply that you are willing to learn and develop more within in the company, and you like the thought of something challenging. My advice is simply be calm, and speak clearly do not put a lot of words in one sentence. Breathe in between thoughts. Well I hope you get the job, and all goes well. Oh! remember the interviewer wants to know you are there for the job not just for the money though you may be that is not the way to get the job. Good Luck!!

The 5 Biggest Mistakes People Make in Job Interviews - And How You Can Avoid Them!

  • Become less shy and more outgoing. If you're a cashier you're going to be dealing with people all day and will need to be vocal and friendly.

  • You should in fact practice smiling in the mirror. Google "typical job interview questions" Basic questions may include: Why do you feel you can do this job? Where do you want to be five years from now? Why do you feel that you can do this job? What was the last book you read?

If you have piercing other than earrings --- take them out. If you have tattoos --- cover them up.

Have you heard of Sam E? It's over the counter mood relaxer. Might be what you need before an interview.

  • I am really shy too but think of it as IF I really want this job then I will have to be outgoing or you will never get it
