Job Interview Questions: What are appropriate clothes for a job interview?

I got an interview for a job as a receptionist at a doctor's office. I haven't done an interview in a long time and I have no clue what to wear. I know that jeans are out of the question, but the interview is tomorrow and I don't have time for clothes shopping....

Questions to Ask During a Job Interview - Make Sure You Cover These!

Recommended Answer:
People generally advise you to dress up at least two levels higher than the current job for which you are appearing. It will create a good first impression. Women should wear only minimal and simple jewelry. Women candidates should opt for only moderate heeled shoes.
The general rule is to opt for conservative shades and designs. Bright checked shirts, loud colored blouses, and odd designed dresses are not to be worn at all.
You have to ensure that the set of dress you have decided to wear for your interview is sparklingly fresh and without any crease marks whatsoever. Also ensure that the shirt is buttoned up fully when attending the interview.

Know How to Answer Job Interview Questions Regarding Your Weaknesses

  • It's recommended that you dress 1 step up from your employer in an interview:
If you expect him to be in jeans, then you wear pants/skirt.
If you expect him to be smart, wear a jacket.. etc

If you have been to that business before, do you remember what he wore on a daily basis? otherwise think of a similar business.

One thing to remember is not to be too smart or too casual...and the most important thing is that you should feel comfortable (That trumps your wardrobe)

    Good Luck
