Job Interview Questions: While on a job interview how can i convince my interviewer to take me if i have no work experience?

I've just completed my bachelors degree and want a job in a glamorous company like L'oreal or LVMH, and would like them to take me, as a trainer, does any one have tips on how i can make them accept me even if i have no past work experience?

Secrets to Answering Job Interview Questions About Your Weaknesses

    Recommended Answer:
Be charismatic and have massive product knowledge. Study about the companies and say you are willing to learn.

And if you do go for a job at LVMH, whatever you do, do NOT carry a fake!

Job Interview Techniques - How to Crack the Interview Code

    • If you are getting a job interview with no work experience, congratulations!

What you need to demonstrate through your answers to questions are how you will be able to deliver results, despite lack of experience.

Think about various situations where you may have done some relevant experience and the results you were able to do.

For instance, I don't know what type of work this is about, so I will use a generic example.

Let's say you are starting at the bottom rung in the company (be willing to take a lower job to gain experience) and this is a receptionist job....what you share is a example of how you were able to handle a busy situation with a lot of issues vying for your attention and how you completed 15 projects that day while juggling about 200 phone calls all with a smile on your face.

    • It will be a challenge because you are bound to be up against people with a proven track record in the field. Your best bet would be to write to the kinds of companies you want to work for and see if they can offer you any work experience. It would be unpaid but if you do a good job they would most likely offer you a job. Most of the time it's not what you know it's who you know so doing work experience is a good opportunity to meet people who can further your career.

    • Emphasize on your degree and how ear ger you are to learn. Best Wishes.

Pull your bangs back if they get in your eyes. Don't wear obvious makeup. Just concealer, mascara, lipgloss.

    • I know it would be nice for me to give you some advice. But i don't wanna give you the wrong advice. =)

Go to this website: (It's the best)

      =D

    • not to dress in formal way; just a little dress even jeans and t-shirt. I think they will not so strict for a 15-year girl. they will focus on your working competence, communication skills and other factors

    • It's an amusement park so you don't need to be super dressy. I say dress shorts and a nice top. You should wear makeup, you're definitely not expected to not wear makeup. Wear your bangs however you feel most comfortable.

Job Interview Questions: Job interview hairstyles for a girl?

I have a job interview at 2:30 today at Outback Steakhouse. I'm trying to get a position as a server. I know I need my hair out my my face, but is there a cuter, nicer way I could wear my hair than straightening it and putting it in a ponytail?

My hair is down to my shoulders and I have side bangs.

Which of These Job Interview Problems Would You Like to End?

    Recommended Answer:
I would have to say that in a ponytail is the best way. It is the most professional looking. Especially for an interview at a restaurant. Maybe try dressing up your ponytail by putting a bump at the crown of your head, then putting your hair in a ponytail. There isn't really much that you can do that looks professional without having your hair up. Sorry to say. Good luck with your interview!

Expert Job Interview Advice From Someone Doing the Hiring

    • I have quite similar hair. If it needs to be smooth and posh i would brush your hair and then tie it up and put it in a bun. get some hair slides to match the colour of your hair and slide those in. if you have a fringe maybe get some cute clips or the hair slide you've just bought and clip your fringe to the side. it looks cute and sophisticated :)

    • Oh c'mon its a steak house, I thought of an office I would have recommended a bob cut or something but its not a big deal, go with the hair you have.

    • brush your hair back and use a gummy headband on put it in the middle then lift up your hair in a pony so it volumise and still cute and out of your face

    • Wrap it up with a clip in back but a pony tail is probably the best and neatest way to go.

    • a messy bun and ur hair in a quif

Job Interview Questions: How many people send a thank you letter after a job interview?

I had an interview for my first "real job" outside of college and forgot the dang thank you letter. However, do a lot of people forget that part? What percentage of people actually send a thank you letter after an interview?

Job Interview Skills - How to Deal With Unusual, Irrelevant Or Stupid Questions at Interviews

    Recommended Answer:
I've interviewed many people for teaching positions, and I in all honesty, the decision of who we are going to hire is made well before the thank you card arrives. One person sent an email immediately after the interview, and in all honesty, it was overkill. I don't know what type of job you're interviewing for, and it is a nice thing to do, but doesn't help with our district.

3 Steps to a Great Job Interview

    • Depends on what kind of job you applied for. If you applied at McDonald's to be the cashier then don't fret no one is sitting around waiting for a thank you card. However, if you applied to be a retail store manager or a project manager at a corporation a thank you email or card is definitely proper etiquette. While it may not be a deal breaker for you to land the job, it certainly creates a perception about you. I have never forgotten to send a thank you email after job interviews.

I have interviewed and staffed more than 100 positions in my lifetime. For entry level jobs, the thank you letter did not have any impact on my decision. However, for managerial positions - I did not hire the ones who did not send the thank you follow up. I took this as an indicator that the individuals do not follow up. (Which is a problem for nearly 80% of managers out there - lack of follow up especially when it comes to performance management) www.ms-mentor.blogspot.com

    • forget about the percentage of people who send it forget about asking whether to send it or not...you MUST go ahead and send it...I got a job few week ago in the feds all this because I sent a thank you letter to the person who interviewed me. As a recent grad with no experience the only thing I got is portraying myself as someone who really cares about the job even if I was not the most experienced [i was told so]...go for it..it will payoff and makes you unique.

Job Interview Questions: After the job interview. Should I call the manager now, if so what should I say?

I had a job interview 3 weeks ago with a manager's hotel. He said he liked me and would call back in a couple days to schedule another interview with his manager, who would give us the final answer about hiring me.

Should I call the manager who interviewed me now? If so what politely should I ask him?
They need a hostess to start just on March 1st, I wonder if that's why he didn't call me so far.

    Recommended Answer:
Yes, you should call. Say that you've called to follow up with the hiring process. There is nothing wrong with calling, in fact, I would encourage that you call because it shows your sincere interest in the position. Good luck!

How to Get Ready for a Job Interview: The Art of Job Interview Preparation

    • Call him and ask if the position has been filled. If not make it known that you are very interested in the job and you would be a valuable asset to the hotel. You need to understand that he has a lot of other duties and something came up and he hasn't had time to decide who to hire. By calling him back and showing your interest in the position he might just decide to hire you.

Job Interview Questions: Job Interview Advice?

This is my first time going to a job interview,i applied at Macy's and they emailed me back to schedule an appointment.Well there are basically 2 days to choose from each having various different times for an interview. What i was wondering is are Macy's interviews 'first come, first serve?' Should i pick the earliest time on the first day available?Would that make a difference??Any good advice would do.Please no rude comments, only serious answers.Thank You.

Use Good Scents for Your Job Interview

    Recommended Answer:
I would pick the earliest time on the earliest day. They are going to be interviewing a lot of people, and you need to get their attention early. Here are a few tips:
Be sure to check out Macy's website, learn as much as you can about Macy's before you go. Have a couple of questions in mind because they are going to ask YOU if you have any questions, this will give you a chance to outshine the rest

    Best of luck

    Behavioral and Situational Job Interviews

    • Pick the second day, they will be doing those interviews anyways so try being the last one they think of. Secondly, DO NOT sit down until you are asked to once you have begun your interview. And if it is a group of people, introduce yourself to every single person in the room.

    • I doubt they will decide on a first come first serve basis but showing up early may be a good sign that you are dependable and also eager to get the job.

Job Interview Questions: What to wear to a job interview for Tony Bianco (shoe shop)?

So ive scored a job interview at Tony Bianco, its only a casual position. But im unsure on what to wear for the interview. Im thinking a black blazer with a white top, blue jeans and short heels? Or would jeans be a bad idea?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks!
Btw its around autumn at the moment.

How to Prepare for a Job Interview

    Recommended Answer:
Definitely do not wear jeans for any job interview even if every member of staff wears them. A casual position could lead to something much bigger and better later. A simple black skirt with your blazer and top would be very smart - and not too short either.

Job Interview Questions: What would I say if I were asked in a job interview"How I would benefit their company?" How should I respond?

I have a job interview coming up and I'm not sure in what order I would answer this sort of question. Can someone please explain to me how I would answer this question and what kind of things I must include in my response.

How to Prepare for a Job Interview

      Recommended Answer:
Do you think you'll be an asset to the company? In what way? That's what they want to know. It's not a trick question - they just want to know what you honestly think you can do for them. If you don't think you can help the company in any way you probably shouldn't apply for the job because if you do get it you won't last

Be Ready to Answer the Top 10 Job Interview Questions

      • I would share characteristics you display (be prepared to give an example of you displaying them, i'd guess) and how they would coincide with the company's/job's requirements. If you sell yourself as genuinely being the person for the job and are able to back it up they might prefer that confidence to the words on the paper about accomplishments.

Job Interview Questions: How can I find a salary range for a position within a company prior to job interview?

Any suggestions on how I can find salary range for a specific position within a specific company prior to a job interview? I dont want to call and ask HR office at this stage and have had two phone interviews and never have they stated salary range nor asked my current salary. Any websites that might be able to help find this info? Other suggestions?

HR is who you are going to have to ask to get the real information. If you know someone that has a like position you could ask them.

Thank You For The Job Interview - Are You Sending a Follow Up Letter?

It is a good idea to know a range, but let me caution you..DO NOT bring up salary in the interview. If they bring it up, DO NOT give them a number or reveal your past salary. Instead, say, "At this point in the interview process, I really would like to be considered for the position based on my skills and qualifications. I am confident that we can come to a mutual agreement on a figure when the time comes."

When you get an offer, that might be the appropriate time to bring up the range, but ALWAYS, let them go first. The first person to float a number loses the upper hand. You need to retain the upper hand.

        Good luck!

      • Don't be shy to call the HR and inquire about the salary range for it is your right to do so and their job to enlighten you. It would take little time and effort to do this, as compared to browsing the web for an accurate estimate.

Job Interview Questions: How long after a job interview should you hear from the prospective employer?

I had a job interview the Monday before last, so this coming Monday will be two weeks. The interview seemed to go well and she indicated that she was just beginning interviewing (I think I was the first one) and that she would let me know by "the end of next week". So do you think she will call me on Monday? What does it take to get a second interview????

Also, I forgot to send a thank you note, should I still send one even though it has been 2 weeks?

Job Interviews - How to Quickly and Easily Succeed at Them

      Recommended Answer:
There is no way of knowing. Some companies do not inform interviewees who are unsuccessful. This is rude I agree, but 1 job I applied for they had 125 applicants. That is a lot of refusal letters.
If you haven't heard by the time they indicated you could phone to query the result. I once lost a job because the company had noted my phone number incorrectly.
Regarding thank you letters. Having had a job where I interviewed applicants I did not expect nor want thank you letters. You are doing the company a favour by applying. They should thank you.
