Job Interview Questions: After the job interview. Should I call the manager now, if so what should I say?

I had a job interview 3 weeks ago with a manager's hotel. He said he liked me and would call back in a couple days to schedule another interview with his manager, who would give us the final answer about hiring me.

Should I call the manager who interviewed me now? If so what politely should I ask him?
They need a hostess to start just on March 1st, I wonder if that's why he didn't call me so far.

Recommended Answer:
Yes, you should call. Say that you've called to follow up with the hiring process. There is nothing wrong with calling, in fact, I would encourage that you call because it shows your sincere interest in the position. Good luck!

  • Call him and ask if the position has been filled. If not make it known that you are very interested in the job and you would be a valuable asset to the hotel. You need to understand that he has a lot of other duties and something came up and he hasn't had time to decide who to hire. By calling him back and showing your interest in the position he might just decide to hire you.
    Good Luck
