Job Interview Questions: I had a job interview last Friday. Is it time to call or should I keep waiting?

I had a job interview last Friday for a major car manufacturer. They told me they needed someone someone quickly. I know its only been three days but how long does it usually take before I hear back from them? Is it too early to call about it?

Make a phone call after about 5 days and be sure to let him or her know of your continued interest in the job. This is also a good opportunity to ask if he or she needs anything or a clarification from you. If not available, leave a message so that they will know you tried to contact them. • I wouldn't call. Send them an email thanking them for taking the time to interview you and that you look forward to hearing back and for the possiblity of joining their team.


• i dont think there is anything wrong with giving them a call. infact i got my last two jobs because i called them. it was between me and one other person and as i was the one who called they took it that i wanted the job more. now i always ring after a few days. they wont think bad at you for it, you can only see it as a positive thing.


• The first (and most important thing) to do during an interview is to get a business card from the person you interviewed with and send either a thank you card or an email thanking them for their time. The reason you do that is to pave the way for the call you are going to make to follow up with the interviewing individual as necessary.
  
  That being said, I would call tomorrow morning. Another day won't hurt, and if you were to call today it would be the last day a company would find it unacceptable to receive a call from you.
