The Three Secrets of Winning Job Interviews
Recommended Answer:
No joke, answer with a smile - people can hear your emotions through the phone.
Be organized. Have dates of previous jobs, if any, and at least 3 references, personal and professional, with phone numbers and addresses at the ready.
Be ready to answer questions like, "tell me about yourself." which does NOT mean go into your life and how much it sucked. It means, "tell me what you can do for me and this company." Be positive and upbeat, but be truthful. when asked, "name a circumstance where you were put on the spot. What did you do," be honest, again, but tell the interviewer what you learned; i.e., "Since then, I have learned to be more communicative, and to listen more attentively. That experience has helped to make me much better at meeting customer's needs." You'll also hear, "What's your worst weakness?" Name it, but put a positive spin on it. "Well, I'd have to say that my worst weakness is I tend to get impatient. On the other hand, I guess it means I have a ton of energy, and sometimes I need to stop and take a deep breath."
Hope this helps!
