Job Interview Questions: Job Interview help, for young applicant.?

I was just wondering, would it be a good idea or maybe leave a better impression to wear a dress shirt and a tie to a job interview? Even if it is somewhere like tropical smoothie. I'm only 16 so I really haven't had very many job interviews and I'm trying to do my best.

Job Interview Questions: What should I wear? (JOB INTERVIEW)?

I'm 15 and I have a job interview at a bakeshop Wednesday at 11. This would be my first job interview and I'm not sure what to wear. I have a lot of clothes so any suggestions would really help. Thanks!! :)

The Complete Job Interview Process

Recommended Answer:
Technically, you shouldn't wear jeans to a job interview.

You really want to show a potential employer that you can be composed yet yourself. Dress semi-professionally. You should wear something along the lines of dark trousers or, even better for someone of your age, khakis and a nice, simple button-down shirt. Dress conservatively, but don't be afraid to add a little jewelry.

The employer wants to be enchanted by your personality, not bombarded by your wardrobe. :)

No, leggings are never ok to wear to an interview. I would say wear black slacks and a collared shirt. Or a dark suit for an interview. Good Luck!

Job Interview Questions: What should I wear to this Job interview?

So I'm not sure if you all know what store K-mart is. (I would compare it to wal-mart, just a smaller version) but I got an interview there. I'm not sure what to wear. Could I wear Jeans? Or would that be too casual? I have a dressy-type shirt (not a button down, just kinda dressy. I usually wear it to interviews. So what would be the proper type of outfit? What would be improper? Anything helps.

What Colors To Wear To A Job Interview

Recommended Answer:
I would never wear jeans to an interview. Slacks, a nice top, business casual would be fine for this interview. I agree with the previous post, this is your only chance to make a first impression and you need to dress conservatively. Don't dress in anything revealing.

Recommended Answer:
Yes take a resume if you have one. Dress respectable and don't just show up in tennies and a t-shirt. I would expect that they will just ask you questions about how you handle fast paced situations, can you multi-task, how would you handle someone yelling at your... also probably ask about your math skills (cash register), basic questions really.

2 Simple Steps to Crushing Your Competition During Your Job Interview

  • In the interview they give you a test first. You need to eat 30 pieces of fried chicken consisting of legs, thighs, and breasts in 10 minutes, if you fail to then you can't have the job. Personally I think that is ridiculous, but I did it because I really wanted the part time job too when I was 15. Then they ask you several questions like " what would you do if a customer wasn't happy with their food?" And you need to accept that you will show up on time. Then they give you instructions on what you will do when you start. the interview will last about 30 minutes. I guess all you need to bring is pretty much an empty stomach so that you can finish the food.

  • I would have a resume if you have any previous working experience. I would even throw in babysitting, Hobbies, goals and interests. They will see that you are an organized and motivated person.
    Good luck!

  • Bring your resume, some references and any key certificates you might have that show qualifications or how responsible & trustworthy you are.

Also remember to clear your nails & teeth before you go.

If you aren't showing, don't say anything. They will most likely not hire you. It is illegal for them to do so but you can't prove that is why you didn't get the job. If you are showing, good luck. It may be rough. I would wait a couple months at least to say anything if you did get the job, unless you start showing and it is obvious.

Job Interview Questions: When in a job interview, if you have a tattoo that isn't in plain sight. Do you say yes if they asked?

Pretty much what above is but to make it more simpler.

When you are in a job interview and the employer asks if you have tattoos (Let's say it's for policy reasons) would you say yes even if it was easy to cover up, say thighs, stomach or hell even your butt.

Job Interview Guide - Some Tips to Ace Your Job Interview

      Recommended Answer:
Why do they even need to know... It's not like you're going to be flashing your thighs or stomach while you're at work, unless you work in a sports bar or some thing like that.
If they do ask then you should be honest with them. As long as it's not any thing can be seen as offensive like naked people or some thing that could be seen as racist, then your employer shouldn't care too much as long as you can cover them if they ask you to.

Get to Know the Common Answers to Job Interview Questions

      • If your tattoos can be covered by your uniform, or clothing the employer does not need to know about them. If they can not, and they are not allowed under the company's appearance standards they can refuse employment to you. In the military if you have tattoos that cannot be covered by the uniform ie something high on you neck, or on your hands, you must have them removed in order to enlist. That said an employer can't ask about or refuse employment to anyone whose tattoos can be covered easily by clothing.

      • If it was somewhere that would never be seen(thigh, butt or stomach) then I would say no.

I, however, have a small tattoo on my ankle. I rarely wear anything that shows it, but sometimes I do. In that situation I would say yes I do, tell them where it is, and that it will always be covered. Really, it just depends on where the tattoo is and the job that you're interviewing for.

      • If its someplace they will never see, like a butt, then lie, but if its on the upper arm or thigh where it might show I wouldnt..cause you can get fired later for lying in the interview

      • If there was no way they could ever see it you could respond no, but I don't think they'd care if you just kept it concealed.

      • Say yes.

If you lie it shows you aren't responsible enough for a job and you don't have any integrity

      • My opinion would be to just tell them the truth and tell them where it is, and that it's not visible. :)

      • Plain and simple answer no.

      • Having a tattoo is not an offence. Of course u should mention about it, why should u lie without any proper reason?

      • I've never had this come up in an interview. But if asked I would honest.

Job Interview Answers That Lead to Success

      • just dress clean and professional

      • suit

      • Wear something really revealing! Then you will get the job ! !!

      • black dress pants with belt and a nice polo

      • Dress smartly in business attire.

      • a nice pair of slacks, a silk blouse or something along those lines, a cute pair of high heels and a simple pair of earrings.

      • Where some nice kicks! and be clean and wear formal clothes. You got it!

      • Make an outfit out of Finishline shoes. Or don't wear anything at all (except of course, Finishline shoes.). Wear the store colors, for psychological manipulation. And make sure your jugs are hanging out. Thanks For Asking!

      • If your job entitles working at the check out, then wear something fashion fresh!
It is a shoe store, so wear the latest fashion (but within reason of course). So wear something new but stylish and not over the top. Like a nice business dress with a fashionable belt. Or some hot patterned leggings with a blouse.
People will look at image & first impressions and then your resume. Good luck!

      • From my experience, you can never go wrong with a suit. If you don't have one, I suggest you wear something clean and professional. Good luck!

      Recommended Answer:
It probably depends on what technology area you are focused on but you may want to focus on creativity rather than just technical strength. In general (using broad generalizations), straight A students are not the most creative. They may work the hardest or be good at studying and learning facts at least long enough to do well on tests but this is not a measure of creative thinking. You certainly want employees who are passionate about the subject/technology/etc. There are psychology tests that aim to measure creativity and there common traits shared by many creative people but I don't think there is any one method for identifying who will be a successful inventor.
