Job Interview Questions: When in a job interview, if you have a tattoo that isn't in plain sight. Do you say yes if they asked?

Pretty much what above is but to make it more simpler.

When you are in a job interview and the employer asks if you have tattoos (Let's say it's for policy reasons) would you say yes even if it was easy to cover up, say thighs, stomach or hell even your butt.

Why do they even need to know... It's not like you're going to be flashing your thighs or stomach while you're at work, unless you work in a sports bar or some thing like that.
If they do ask then you should be honest with them. As long as it's not any thing can be seen as offensive like naked people or some thing that could be seen as racist, then your employer shouldn't care too much as long as you can cover them if they ask you to.

Get to Know the Common Answers to Job Interview Questions

  • If your tattoos can be covered by your uniform, or clothing the employer does not need to know about them. If they can not, and they are not allowed under the company's appearance standards they can refuse employment to you. In the military if you have tattoos that cannot be covered by the uniform ie something high on you neck, or on your hands, you must have them removed in order to enlist. That said an employer can't ask about or refuse employment to anyone whose tattoos can be covered easily by clothing.

  • If it was somewhere that would never be seen(thigh, butt or stomach) then I would say no.

I, however, have a small tattoo on my ankle. I rarely wear anything that shows it, but sometimes I do. In that situation I would say yes I do, tell them where it is, and that it will always be covered. Really, it just depends on where the tattoo is and the job that you're interviewing for.

  • If its someplace they will never see, like a butt, then lie, but if its on the upper arm or thigh where it might show I wouldnt..cause you can get fired later for lying in the interview

  • If there was no way they could ever see it you could respond no, but I don't think they'd care if you just kept it concealed.

  • Say yes.

If you lie it shows you aren't responsible enough for a job and you don't have any integrity

  • My opinion would be to just tell them the truth and tell them where it is, and that it's not visible. :)

  • Plain and simple answer no.

  • Having a tattoo is not an offence. Of course u should mention about it, why should u lie without any proper reason?

  • I've never had this come up in an interview. But if asked I would honest.
