You have a good idea, but by the end of the week, the job may have been given to someone else. It will save the employer time, and therefore, money, to hire the first qualified applicant.

How to Prepare for Your Sales Job Interview

  • I would agree that the end of the week is the best. They'll have a good feel for the applicant pool, and if you come across strong in the interview, you'll stand out in their mind.

I don't think order matters too much in the final analysis, though. Once I hired a candidate who was the very first one on the very first day. It just happened that he was the best candidate.

    Good luck with the interview!

  • Just be lucky they called you in for and interview, could be 24/7 have the proper requirements for that job believe in yourself and dress positive. The first impression is what counts....

Job Interview Questions: What personal info can I get away with not giving on a job interview?

I'm starting job interviews soon and with all the identity fraud going on I just wanted a
few opinions on the subject. Do I have to give my social security number or can I just give my license number?

A Guide to the Most Evil Job Interview Questions

Recommended Answer:
I would never give any information like SSN or even license number until I've gone to the actual company's offices to confirm they are legit. There are too many scammers online using the names of legitimate businesses but have nothing to do with the actual company. They will want to do online or phone interviews, then ask for personal information. Don't do it. Always wait until you go into the office. And if you want more security, check the Better Business Bureau or local Chamber of Commerce to get more info about the business before you go in if you are not familiar with them

Preparing to Answer Job Interview Questions

  • You shouldn't have to do either as they will do a background check but yeah do not give the your SSN or DL number and just show them ID and do interviews with companies that you know are legitimate and not something you saw on craigslist.org

  • Give it out.
No one is going to steal your identity at a workplace.
    They'll get caught.

Do not use your card online - this is where all this identity theft is going on.

Job Interviews - What You Don't Do Can HELP You!

  • Danie, follow 1334's advice, but just be sure to NOT be yourself, cos 'yourself' (in most human beings) isn't really good for an interview. Things like body language, posture, conversation skills, that are 'yourself' might not spell out 'NEXT CEO' to the interviewer.Might wanna research that stuff on google, or buy a book on interviews, or body language, or people skills, or motivation...

  • Well do you need advice on what to wear or how to nail the interview? I would google the top questions most human resources personnel ask and will try to think of answers. Don't memorize anything though. Be sincere most interviewers will pick up on that. Also if they ask a question the answer to which is negative try to make it positive. For example they may say you don't have enough experience try saying yes that's true, but you're very eager to learn and grow. Good luck!

  • Im 17 too and i work at taco bell. My advice to you is be yourself, confident but not too confident, DONT chew gum, answer questions as best as you can, and dress appropriately. And as for calling, they called me back the next day but it may take a week. If you dont hear from them within a week... Call them or continue your job search :) good luck!!!!

  • Keep eye contact, open with a firm handshake and end with one. Be respectful, answer honestly, be confident about your skills, but not cocky. Also, make it clear you are interested for the right reasons. Don't be afraid to call THEM if you do not hear back from them. It shows you care! (But don't hound) GOOD LUCK!

  • Don't mumble. Don't keep talking. Look nice: dress nice and be polite even if he/she isn't to you. If you have a bad reputation don't tell him/her too much.

    lol

    Best of Luck!
    Pippin

  • Just dont become a nervous wreak during the interview, and they should take about 3-4 days to get back to you

  • be confident be yourself and have passion about the job. no one likes a slacker. as for times just ask.

Job Interview Questions: What should I bring to a job interview?

I have a job interview in 4 hours at a small computer shop. I faxed my application, cover letter and resume over a few weeks ago. Should I bring any of these things?

Job Interview Tips Begin With Knowing the Process

Recommended Answer:
I would bring the resume and application just in case your interviewer misplaces the items. This will eliminate the potential for any awkward moments and shows that you are prepared and thorough.

I Have a Job Interview - What Should I Do?

  • It is never a bad thing to bring another copy of your resume and cover letter. Like someone else mentioned above, sometimes items get misplaced. If the hiring manager did misplace your resume, you have another copy for him or her.

It also helps to have your own copy too. A lot of hiring managers go down through a resume asking questions. If you both have a resume to follow, things will go more smoothly.

You might also want to bring a notebook and pen to take notes. Good luck at your interview and it sounds like you'll do great since you are looking to be prepared and doing the research first!****I just realized that I answered this question too late - how did your interview go?

  • Bring them if you want to have a quick read over before you go in. It's good to remind yourself of what you actually told them so you can answer questions about your application with more confidence.
Bring a notepad if you think you'll want to make notes right after the meeting while it's still fresh in your mind.
Bring a small bottle of water because your mouth/throat might be really dry afterwards!
Bring anything else that'll make you feel comfortable and that you look your best eg. tissues, lipbalm, small mirror etc.
Bring your passport if they require you to be a UK citizen.

Can anyone give me at least two or therr sentences to say thank you to the interviewer who interviewed me last week. I sure di appreciate a lot. Thanks in advance.

How to Follow Up After a Job Interview: Recommendations on What to Say After an Interview

Recommended Answer:
First use spell check to make sure that you do not have any spelling errors in the letter. If you do you have wasted your time sending the note.

I prefer to receive a hand written note. I usually skim it so the content can be minimal. Make sure that the note card is professional looking. A monogram is most appropriate. No cute pets, cartoons, etc.

The note should be something along the lines of

Dear Mrs. Jones,

Thank you for taking the time to consider me for the position of bank teller. I am interested in a the position with your bank name and look forward to hearing from you soon.

I found during the interview that your position would be a good fit for me because of my organzational skills and ability to smile broadly when approached by strangers.

Once again, thank you for interviewing me.
Sincerely,
Sally Field
