Job Interview Questions: How should I cancel a job interview?

I have a job interview tomorrow, but the only problem I have is that it is way too far. My parents are not advising me to go to this job interview, simply because it could be stressful. There are other branches of this company in my city (which is closer to me). So my question is how do I cancel the interview and still get permission from them to transfer to a closer branch?
