My first job interview is today. I'm just a student so I'm wondering how long will the interview last?

It all matters what kind of job you are interviewing for and if this is the first interviews.

The first interview is usually the shortest one. For a lower level or entry level interview I would say 30 minutes to an hour.

The more important the job the more time. I've seen interviews last days. However, the company usually lets you know that you are going to talk to multiple people and be there for a while.

Job Interview Tip Number 1 is Preparation

• It really depends on the job. I've had interviews last 15 minutes, others have lasted 5 or 6 hours with multiple people and dinner etc. However, if its a student/first job it will likely be 15-30 minutes. Nothing to sweat about :)


• About a half an hour to an hour. It depends. If you get hired while you're there, your employer might want you to fill out tax forms and other paperwork. Good luck!!
