Tell them that you are interested in a career in fashion design and are going to be applying to a college/trade school (do a little research so you can tell them which one) to further yourself in that field. You want to work here because it gives you a chance to look at current fashion trends and to get to talk with customers to see what they like and what they don't like about current fashions.

That little bit tells the employer that you're not just looking into this as just a job, but you're looking at the job as an opportunity and will likely be more inclined to take it seriously.

• Make sure you wear a nice outfit and NO JEANS. when they ask you why you want to work there say why you need the money like saving for college, or a car to be independant, or say that it is a good learning experience to learn how to interact with others, yada yada


• Tell them that your a hard worker and this is your first job except you would do a great job of doing it by working there if they give you the chance to do so.


• I would say that I love clothing, and would enjoy helping others find clothing that they can like. Also mentioning that you like working with people can be an important thing to say.
